- Ooh baby, the middle. Damn, I did not expect them to come into the story for Canto 5. All in all, I think we would win against them. But at the same time, it would be way too close. Unless Vergilius wanted to actually do something for once. Nah, he'd never do that.

Smee is perfect.... Except for the fact that she's named Smee... That sounds like the name you'd hear a low level Goblin have. Regardless today at 7:15pm est I am gonna read through Camelot in Fate, its where the story gets good from what I've heard.

Killing fodder is something that anyone can do, it's scary how one person can esentially kill hundreds if they are just somewhat stronger than the rest, makes me wonder how the actual fuck the City still births more people than those that die
@@tepig2828to be fair Tanya was considered abnormal since she was distorted to hell like the rest of the ensemble, but it is a nice way show power scaling that the middle might be just a little weaker in terms of power compared to Tanya and are probably monstrous in strength.

Headcanon: The main reason Sinclair managed to be brave enough to threaten the gang member at the start of the video was the ABSOLUTE BANGER playing.

I say that while we did fight the fingers on Ruina, it was inside the library that was pretty much a death trap that you where destined to fail, so comparing how it went there to now in limbus is quite the understatement.
38:35 I think it was just a rare act of kindness and self-sacrifice. Pilot is young and she probably just thought that if only one person is making it ouf of there it better be the almost kid.
I love that despite Dante's worries that they're the only one in the group looking for belonging, at least some other sinners are growing attached too. Apart from the obvious ones, Heathcliff is also a prime example, with the change from how he was the cause of several sinner deaths in chapter 1 to now, where he kicked Gregor out of the way of a bomb and told Dante to focus on healing Don over him in chapter 4, to showing honest concern over Dante's health in this chapter. the man's a softie, and I can't wait to see him get fucked up next chapter :D
I love the implication that LCCB Ryoshu in Pilot's position just fucking solo'd the entire gang AND a Big Brother.

A big brother from the middle looks like its on the level of an index proxy or and thumb capo, and both of them were star of the city fights, the sane tier as the red mist and the purple tear, so yeah, the before team was probably right in forfeiting their lifes.
To be fair, if there was a rank higher than Star of the City that doesnt mean "The Head will take your head", Red Mist and Purple Tear would be in that one

Yi Sang and Heathcliff are starting to grow on me. Ishmael is becoming less and less bland every word she says, and Outis is Outis. Everyone is making amazing progresses in this chapter and I love it.
Yi Sang is getting better because of last chapter and Heathcliff is getting a improvement because his chapter is coming.

This chapter really reminds people that the Librarians were *way* above the curve when it came to power in the city and that normal people can't deal with the Fingers' ridiculousness or higher-grade Fixers. Our guys might have been able to make jokes of the Thumb and Index, but we had shit like *Gebura* and *Binah* with us, on top of whatever ridiculous strats we could do with Malkuth's Burn, Yesod's Blunt, and Hod's Bleed among others.
No syndicate was ready for the ancient Yesod technique of "UNGA BUNGA"

I'm really questioning if Dante shouldn't learn to fight, the guy just tanked a hit from Ishmael whose purpose was to kill Smee and he clearly is faster than Ishmael, of course she maybe don't used that much strength since Smee was praticaly dead, but that would help him a lot.
Roland was the one who devastated part of the southern section of The Middle Finger. This was the same finger that Tanya came from. Also note we're in the southern area of The City, so we're fighting the same section of the middle that Roland destroyed.

Already played through the chapter. Got every W Corp member to lvl 40. The chapter quickly became a joke. So sad that Dante’s brother died of Ligma in the end..

all of this information combined means that Effie could've been saved
the group unfortunately, murdered him not knowing that was a possibility

The existence of the Announcer may just be me grasping at straws, but there is an infinitesimal chance that Effie lived, whether through clonig or whatever the City has. I also don't doubt Outis's killing methods though, so the chance is real slim.
My literal first thought when I read it gonna take Effie days to die is "Ok, then let's just finish this crap then come back for him later", and that was before knowing there is a magic bullet that can instantly heal you
leave it to project moon to take a "it was for the best" moment into a "oh fuck oh fuck we fucked up oh shit" moment

Man I love this chapter so far, I completely forgot that Dante's absolutely paying a price for their battles too still whenever he revives or healing them until you mentioned it.

This chapter made me really interested in Ryoshu's backstory now if she was part of one of the fingers. I can only imagine which one though because there is no way in hell someone as bloodthirsty as her was a part of the Index.
One of the 'five calamities' having the sound and rumble to the U corp singularity make a lot of sense in relation to Ishmael actually.
During her rant in 4.5, she did mentioned the one she wanted to revenge also used it to combine themself into something big and monstrous and then talk about the whale later so there is a very high percent that's who we will fight at the end of this chapter

The middle is who got their shit pushed in by Roland. We will be fighting more of the fingers though eventually, probably due to Ryoshu's involvement with them in the past.
To think Roland showing up would likely make Big sister/Big brothers of the Middle pissing in fear

Really underestimating an officer of a Finger, pretty safe to assume any of them are gonna be around Grade 1 or at worst 2 in strength. Librarians aside, the vast majority of people are better off quitting instead of even trying to take on anything of that strength.

My first reaction to Pilot was looking at Ishmael. And i said loud to a friend: "Oh. Ooooh... he's not reliable". Her shock and disbelief at all the effort put into doing something that won't earn her support of someone organized or experienced. Oh, she's NOT in a good place.

To put into context why everyone except for Vergillisus was scared out of their wits when faced with the Big Brother of the middle we already have an example of someone on the same level from Library of Ruina. Tanya one of the members of the reverberation ensemble who managed to put up decent fight against Gebura the Red Mist herself. Tanya apparently held the rank of Big Sister which is the same level as the Big Brother showed here and Tanya was strong enough to mow down Hana association fixers like they were freaking mooks. In other words the approximate level of strength we have for a Big Brother/Big Sister is well above grade 1 fixer and somewhere a bit below a color fixer. So yeah the sinners all gonna die if they have to fight that right now lmao without sudden surprise abnormality interrupt or something kekw.
She could be The Great Sister of The Middle's Five Fingers of the Hand Backstreets.
The fact you think only an Arbiter would fill someone with that fear proves that, although a great game, Library ruined the idea of power scaling in people's minds.
At this point in the story, everyone's probably fighting at a Grade 7 Fixer level, no lower, no higher.

Tbh, I ran this with LCCB Ishmael and LCCB Ryoshu (both at max level and uptie 4) with some other assorted IDs and they made quick work of practically everything in this part of the chapter
