    I got busted by a landowner and his gamekeeper out shooting they spotted us on nightvision.they were more than reasonable with us and even pointed out another spot we could camp out of their way.they even gave us a lift there in the back of their truck.and the spot they showed us was even better than where we originally picked.nice 1 guys 👍

      Exactly!!! This is it with land owners, they are and always have been good. Not to mention... wasn't really a bust then aye, they just didn't want to shoot at you. Well played Cully. HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼

    During covid, I did it a couple of times. Things were getting to me, and I needed that. But how lovely it is to sleep in the UK woodland at night without anyone to bother you. That's how I got my idea to start making videos

    I spent 6 months in woodland not too long ago - Female with a dog.
    I vividly remember the first time l heard the blood curdling screams of a fox.😮
    It sounded like a woman fighting for her life out there in the darkest hours.
    Being in Norfolk.. l was getting *The Hills have eyes * vibey flashbacks.😂
    Certainly the imagination can run out of sync with reality !
    I had to have a couple of team talks with myself over that period. 😅
    Being in the woods was one of the best times of my life .
    I cannot settle in a house.

    Great video guys. You are spot on, i have noticed there has become an increase in them types of video's. Fortunate for me, i used to spend many nights in the woods of the UK. Doing things that i should not of been doing. So like you guys the seasons in the woods don't make me paranoid. There is like you state nothing really to worry about. As long as you don't attract people. I am now out in Germany. I had a bit of a worrying night on my last camp due to the Wild Boar, but i still stayed put. Even though i am fully aware you don't want to tangle with the Mothet Grunters. I also respect that it does take newbies a good few camps to get used to the sounds that they are not used to. Anyway like i say great vid and to anyone wanting to get out in the UK woodland. Just get out there and give it a whirl. It's amazing

      Exactly, we used a specific method with the boar... much like the 'doorbell' moments lol. It just acts as an early warning sign, but also deters them from entering our setup. But lovely to see and hear them at night and in the mornings. Cheers for commenting and HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼👍🏼

    Great video, you do hear some strange noises in the woods at night. But a quick search on UA-cam will normally identify the culprit. It's surprising how such small critters can make such big noises. Barn owls screeching still make me jump though. 🤣 🤣

    I'm new to camping, city guy not used to the woods. 1st night on a campsite in France about 1am, I heard a dog snarling and barking right outside my tent. The shock when sleeping and you suddenly hear that freaked me out. It wouldn't stop, after 5mins or so, I sat up, composed myself and played the Carpenters full volume. The dog went away...phew! Looking back the smell of food in my tent may have attracted it.

    Only farmer I ever heard of shooting someone was that farmer (in the fens I think) who after being repeatedly burgled finally snapped and shot two burglars leaving his house after burgling him yet again, he killed one of them and he got a long sentence for manslaughter. Although the law was changed after this incident so that it was no longer a crime to defend your home it doesn't apply to landowners shooting people camping, wild or otherwise on their land. The land may on paper belong to only a few privileged few individuals and organisations like the national trust (run by liberals who suprisingly act like Nazis) but the land belongs to the people, and providing no damage is caused then what's the problem. If that posh prick who owns part of Dartmoor and is appealing to the supreme court to stop people camping on his land were to win then you can expect large scale trespass walks and camps in protest to get the laws changed as they did back in the early 20th century.

    • @loghoppers
      @loghoppers  3 дні тому +2

      Exactly! Too damn true and no one really seems to rise up anymore. We're getting it in every 'whole' 😉, but let's face it, the more the poor are restricted... how long is it before they rise? The elites would be out numbered exponentially. 🧐🤔 HAPPY HOPPING 👌🏼 👍🏼

    • @nickmail7604
