the ones you cant reach just set them on fire. that what i do every year. just check the wind to see if its going into the pond they will be gone is 60 seconds. no muck up in smoke.

I'm afraid those cattails are going to grow back before summertime. They will propogate off of the rhizomes tilled up in the sediment. Always best to spray and kill the cattails before cutting or removing.
