    I’ve been crocheting now for a year and a half and watch your channel. Wanted to learn Amigurumi so I find your tutorials and methods very helpful. Thank you for this pattern, it will be my very first Amigurumi I’ve ever made. Thank you Elise for sharing your knowledge and being such an inspiration to me and others as well, I’m sure.

    I already knot how to crochet amigurumis. However i find these example as effective as possible, it has it all: magic circle, increments, decrements, color changes, safety eyes, attachment of pieces, embroidery of detalis. It really has every important element and I appreciate that for newcomers. Hope more people get to see these amazing work

    I just started amigurumi. I am so grateful I found your videos! I have been struggling with my faces. Your videos have been very helpful. I was making knots in my embroidery to keep it from falling and it would ruin the smooth look. I can't wait to try the techniques I have learned from watching your videos on my current project. Hopefully, I will be happier with how this one turns out!

    I am loving all of your tutorials. I also knit and crochet, but I also tat. I started to crochet at the beginning of strawberry shortcake in the 80s. I did a whole bunch of clothes for her basically just in thread. I’ve also done doilies I can’t believe how big the yarn has gotten.

    I love the word 'Catster"!!! Years ago when my sons were toddlers, I bought them some little animal toys and one of them looked like either like a cat or a bear, so we called it a "Meow-Growl"! I will have to make the "Catster" in honor of uniting two very cute animals! Thank you for your videos! I learned how to make Amigurumi from watching your videos!

    Such a great tutorial! Love how you included so many techniques and tips with such a simple pattern! The pattern line being on screen while you stitched and talked about it - so helpful! I’m in the UK so it’s nice to see how the patterns in US terms are written 😊
    Also, I SO appreciate that you showed techniques for finishing like adding ears and embroidery!!! I’m struggling embroidering eyes and a nose on my first crocheted bunny.
    I’d love to watch a video just about different embroidery techniques on different kinds of toy faces, on knit or crochet or both. Different shaped eyes, different sizes of eyes and mouth.
    Once again, a totally captivating and helpful video! Watching you stitch is mesmerizing, it flows like water! ❤️❤️

I finally got to round 4 without ripping😭😭 praise god. Practice makes perfect. ! After this I plan on stitching your free bunny pattern. Hopefully I’ve worked out the kinks before purchasing your big bad wolf pattern! Btw I’m using sugar & cream yarn for this project. It’s 100% cotton medium worsted. Hopefully i make a good choice in yarn. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I haven’t crocheted or knitted in 7 years and only done bulky blankets and knitted a beanie. I fell right in to this due to your channel ! Im obsessed! I haven't ever tried that yarn before so unfortunately I don't have any information about it. I will say sometimes struggles with amigurumi have to do with the yarn and/or hook. I love your teaching technique. I followed your tutorial step by step and my Catster is about 50% larger than yours. I thought it might be the stitch tightness but if I crocheted any tighter I couldn't get my hook in the next round. I may have over stuffed it.. I was paying attention to "stuff it and stuff it some more". My stitches actually spread out and made gaps! I'll try again.

    When you have a ball, so it does not roll around, put it in your favorite brown with a large binder clip. Works like the expensive bowl

    Cute project! I would have made a wrapped knot in the ears and pulled through to secure them in case a little one liked the ears a little too much and same with the mouth/nose.

    I am so happy to see a video/written pattern combo. However, I am confused on the 2nd row "increase". This looks to me as the same stitch all the way around. Please explain

    • @EliseRoseCrochet
      @EliseRoseCrochet  Рік тому

      Round 2: [1 sc, inc] 6 times (18). You're making one single crochet, then increasing (which is doing two single crochets in one stitch). At the end of the round you should have 18 stitches. Hope that helps! ☺

    I am trying my first amigurumi from a book/kit and I really struggled with the floss. In the end i just ripped it out and used regular yarn to make the mouth.

    • @EliseRoseCrochet
      @EliseRoseCrochet  2 місяці тому +1

      Embroidering a mouth for amigurumi is really hard! That's why you'll see a lot of them without it! ❤️

  • @Drachenbauer
    @Drachenbauer 7 місяців тому +1

    You can also make him little feet:
    with the white yarn start like the body until you have 12 stitches around (what you called round 1) and than do 4 simple rounds just one single crochet in each stitch around and finish off.
    Stuff and sew to the white half of the body in a square pattern with equal distances to the finishing-point of the body.

    My very first amigurumi!! I used #4 acrylic yarn from Joann’s. I used 3.5 hook. It came out huge 😂. I stuffed it and now the stuffing is peeping out thru the stitches. Should I use heavier yarn or should I use a smaller hook? Thanks for all you do Elise!! Look forward to your videos every week.

    • @EliseRoseCrochet
      @EliseRoseCrochet  4 місяці тому +1

      I typically like to go down in hook size until I can no longer see the stuffing! 🧶🧶🧶
