Hill Sprint Workout | Run Faster and Boost Stamina

  • FULL HILL SPRNT WORKOUT:
    WARM UP-
    3 x 50 meter strides increasing speed each rep.
    dynamic stretches, 8-10 reps each stretch, each leg
    scoops
    quad pulls
    knee hugs
    frankensteins
    hip openers
    sprint drills, 15-20 yards each drill
    A skips
    fast straight legs
    long straight legs
    high knees
    WORKOUT:
    5x 70 meter hill sprints at 90% max speed
    or
    4-6 60-80 meter hill sprints at 85-90% max speed (depending on how in shape you are and if you can maintain your speed and quality throughout the reps.)
    COOL- DOWN:
    repeat dynamic stretches
    stride or light jog 100 meters.

    How do you tell when you're going 90% vs 100%?

      Pay attention to how hard it feels like your pushing when your running at 100 percent, then just dial back the effort a bit and try to relax more into your sprint. It’s really just a mindset que to help you relax while still sprinting fast.

    you dont build up speed with hill training. that is stupid
