    • @alantheleader
      @alantheleader 4 дні тому

      My quote on quote “Fast metabolism” is a combination of hardwork in the gym and discipline with my diet. Go on the street and find me 10, 21 year olds who are in incredible shape. Very small percentage. Fitness principles apply at any age. If I wasn’t training and eating the way I do I’d be out of shape as well. I gaurantee if you start strength training at a high intensity consistently and eating a high protein diet your “slow metabolism” will magically start to speed up.

    • @solidsnake7167
      @solidsnake7167 3 дні тому

      35 aint old. Muscle maturity is a thing. My Squat, bench, deads, even endurance in the gym was superior to when I was 24. Life is what changes, you have a real career at 35, making real money, have real responsibilites, good for nothing kids that steal food out of your fridge, being a home owner and working around the house instead of working out etc. Metabolism slows mostly due to letting all of the added life things leading to less lifting and poor diet. I will be 46 in a few months and I still feel no different than when i was 24. The main physical difference is if youre running full court basketball with the 19yr olds at your local la fitness or something, not near as bouncy or springy. Kids can do that shi everyday, their bodies are more resilient, thats all. Keep your test levels up naturally, dont resort to being a junkie by pinning your leg with test and tren. I will admit that i was a little dismissive at first with this dude because ive been in the gym literally longer than hes been alive but his principles are on point

    Great video. I definitely agree on the cleaning and time part. Yeah, so many “anabolic” recipes look delicious, but they also look like they take an hour to make and 30 minutes to clean. Might be ok on Sunday or Saturday every once in a while, but otherwise it’s way too time consuming.

  • @Blu_rz
    @Blu_rz 5 днів тому

    Yea extremely valid video. The idea of having a whole food diet is great, keeps out all the preservatives that could otherwise decrease the amount/ volume of food you could be eating, while optimising the amount of nutrition and macros that you gain from the food. This dude knows what he’s talking about, especially with his techniques of fasting or not depending on what the aim is. Solid video dude

    My diet is not very different from yours, I also try to make it simple and cheap. What do you do with fasting if you must train high intensity (strength, speed, etc.) during that period?

    • @alantheleader
      @alantheleader 5 днів тому

      I will either train after I fast and eat my first meal, or just train fasted but like right when I wake up so Im not low energy yet, or I just won't fast for that period of time. If your main goal is athletic performance eating a small meal before your training with some carbs like fruit is how you will see the best results. This is a great question and would be an amazing post in my community, I answer questions like this with full videos. Link in desc.

    How much rest do you take In between sets? Especially on the sprints

    • @alantheleader
      @alantheleader 14 днів тому

      It depends on what your training for if I want to improve my endurance I will lower the rest time, if I want to improve my performance I will increase the rest time. A general rule of thumb to follow is get enough rest so you feel ready to do the next set but no so much when you are relaxed. This could be anywhere from 3-5 mins

      You have the best answer above (depends on your end goal) however if you don’t know (haven’t discovered / not sure yet) where you’re at yet, try to keep sprints as a session on their own and you’ll find you’ll perform best at them when your fresh. Sprints days / drills are very taxing when performed correctly. Make sure you’re fully recovered before and recover properly after sprint workouts.

I watched a few other videos and want to see you succeed, so just a few tips.. -I'd change the channel name to something catchier (Alan Athletic Fitness or Alan's Athletes or Alan's Athletics) something that better describes the channel -You're a clean cut dude, I'd clean up the language - Post shorter videos that are more direct to what you're teaching, this will allow you to have more content spread out. Like within lifting (specific exercises, lifting reps/sets, frequency, timing, etc.) Just suggestions, keep at it!
