My stock 2022 German SQ7 did 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds when I tested it, so in american 0-60 that must be about 3.3 seconds. Consider that in Germany the SQ7 is about 150 kg lighter (i think should be 340 lbs more or less) because there is not standard sunroof, driving assistance package, third row, 16 ways electric seats. All these are optionals an you need to pay extra to get it, but they add weight also. Also my car has ceramic brakes that save another 20 kg / 45 lbs. Maybe stock north american cars aren't as fast as mine, but what an incredible machine for a non RS audi!
this car is so outdated, but the sad part is. knowing the direction audi is going, the replacement will be tablet mobile on wheels with cheap quality interior.
Front grille looks like David Letterman’s teeth with a couple missing. Horrible. What is the point of 3rd rows seats that are meant only for small children? Most carmakers are so shortsighted they straightaway slot into a very minuscule segment of the market, resulting in significantly higher prices and worsening the problem by making it unaffordable.
I get your Letterman comment; the rest doesn’t make sense. The SQ8 only has two rows if you like. Plenty of people buy vehicles with a small third row, either because they have small kids or more likely rarely need the seating but want to have it in a pinch. Audi’s “S” vehicles are indeed expensive and aimed at a narrow segment, like Mercedes AMG and BMW “M”. The base Q7 is competitively priced for a luxury SUV.
Audi used to be probably my favorite, and most elegant of German big 3 (besides 3/4 series BMW).. now BMW and MB went downhill.. and Audi hasn't had anything new ICE since 2017! And what finally just came out in A/Q5 has an infotainment screen that of a Chevy! Pathetic..
As usual, its full of screens that will go bad in a decade, or even at the slightest cold snap. Love the v8. Everything else is tacky and par for the course on new cars. Nothing different or innovative.
Long live John Davis 🙏🙏🙏
He's dead 💀 😢 this is a hologram
He's not
The S and RS lines are soooo good! I’ve had two so far!
Nice vehicle. Glad they still make the V8.
The vehicle is too small for it to have a V8 engine
While supplies last lol
Love the Q7! Almost pulled the trigger on a Prestige model, but went with a Cayenne GTS instead.
Now this is how you keep an older product competitive. I didn't know it was that fast.

3.3s? Stock?😂 When I tested a stock SQ8 from launch it did 4.2-4.3 by Dragy.
Woohoo! Motorweek baby
That baby is F in fast 😳
AMAZING SUV PERIOD!!!! I have the 3.0 55 Q7 version. Believe me trying to balance cost but I would not object to the Sq7 either!!! lol
The front grille looks atrocious. The slats are way too large it doesn't look good at all.
I've seen many of these grills with birds stuck in them.
Are the quad exhaust tips real or fake?
It’s ten years old!
Did you watch the entire video?
Its still better than anything else available
What's the experience of replacing a turbo?
It's an EA825!

@@fredrceAudi quality isn’t the best
@@Stanley112803They’re hard to service, but the materials they use are arguably better than those of Cadillac or Lincoln.
The grill should have an illuminated Audi logo at this price point. I’m old school and still prefer dogs even tiny ones 🤷🏽♂️
Love the idea of this car, but I just find Audi’s styling too sedate. And as others have said, MMI is dated.

Like every other German car...It's either outdated or tablet on wheels...no in-between
It's as modern and good as anything available.
What a beast! Audi keeping it real! With a real beast of an engine!👌😎👍Long live the Legend! 👉John Davis!
That grill is so ugly. Looks like a chained chandeliers.
Not a fan! The reliability is eh, the MMI is outdated, and those weird Audi rings
SQ7s are damn near bulletproof with the EA825 and ZF8HP95 it's hard to go wrong.
@@mattskavenski1015 No, it’s not the engine/transmission. It’s the 48V hybrid system and all the electronics, air suspension, etc
Rather have a Lexus. That Audi won’t last long.
Audi used to be handsome, refined and cleanly designed. Not anymore. What a messy overly detailed contrivance they are now. So sad.
You must've watched a different video. I don't like SUVs, but this is tastefully done. If I needed a large performance SUV, this would be on the list.
@@KRAMITDFROGThe only thing I really do not like is the grille. When light shines into it, you see a gap into the engine bay.
Front grille looks unfinished 😅

An ALL NEW Q7 is needed!! Longer wheelbase for more interior space, slightly higher roof, shorter overhangs! 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
this audi looks horrendous, the whole design language just looks cheap and doesnt say premium.
