You guys are just sailing over that chunk! Another awesome video 👌
Thanks! At this point, we even prefer chunk over flow. Maybe when we get better at clearing jumps and riding berms, that'll change. 😅
Cory’s got such great energy! It’s fun to watch. Keep up the videos
She just really loves biking. 😊
Ugh can't wait to get back to NC! SO Chunky and fun.
Yup, love that Pisgah chunk. 😁👍
I love your videos..."hey boi!". We just got back from Brevard today. 2 days at Pisgah, 2 days at Dupont.... Amazing trails everywhere. Hike-a-bike is a way of life around there. Creek crossings very fun. Black mountain kicks major ass. Gotta love Avery Creek Rd and Clawhammer Rd climbs to the top... Not! Thanks for the awesome videos. We're from Toledo, OH. Hope to see you at Poto and DTE
Yeah boi! 🤘 glad you had fun in Pisgah. Great place to ride. 😁👍
Nice! Loved doing black mountain last year. You all timed it well. We're down there right now but they closed Dupont today.
Lucky. Weather still sucks here right now.
You guys rode that nicely! Impressed!
Thanks, dude! Now if we could just learn to jump. 😅 You guys go to some awesome skills parks in your vids. We're jelly.
This ride killed me a couple years ago! Super hot and sticky day with not enough water. Had me puking after. We should of just done the lower section looking back. I hope to go back some day and ride it in more favorable conditions. Great vid as always.
I feel you. The first half was a nightmare. We ran out of water too, but we were already descending by that point. It would have sucked to run out before finishing all the climbing. If we knew what we were getting ourselves into, we probably wouldn't have done the whole thing either. Made for a great vid though. Hehe 😅
My index fingers stopped working near the end of that descent. Super gnarly.
I bet. 😁
Great video! Pisgah really reminds me of my home trails here in West Virginia at Kanawha State Forest. Planning on visiting Pisgah once all the COVID stuff dies down. :)
Pisgah is amazing! 95% of the trails are pure chunky goodness. You'll love it. 😁👍
Sick trails especially the last descent 🤘🏼
Another great edit!👍👍👍
Thanks! 😁
I love your videos guys, please keep making them and improving your skills in video as well riding because it is so fun to watch.
Being just an average guy, I can relate to your pace and reaction to the trails!
Thanks. 😄
How did she survive the whole 8 minute mark? Oh, I know... I'm a ninja! Great video!
I know right? She loves riding on the edge. The gnarlier, the better. hehe
I did it in December and it was a full on effort, the hike a bike was brutal. Great views but a lot of work. This trail is no joke. At 12.51, you were right, DO NOT go between those trees...clipped may bars and bucked me hard. I will do it again, but not by myself. This is definitely not a solo trip.
It's not safe to do the whole thing solo. No cell phone reception either. Better be safe.
Cory actually OTBd through those trees too. It didn't make it into the video though. I couldn't make it work.
If we ever ride it again, it'll probably just be the lower half. The top half is for the fitness junkies. 😅
Great video 💪🏼
You are the king of mtb not the Duke such an amazing rider keep uploading we will all stay tuned.
Thanks, dude. 😊
It’s nice to see some other real people from flat Michigan that get beaten by all the out of town climbs we aren’t used to.
Thanks. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to mislead anyone that might be interested to try these trails. Too many videos show the epic descents, but completely omit how hard it is to get to the top.
It’s absolutely brutal to get to the top of this climb. By the time you start descending you’re so exhausted that it’s hard to ride safely.
Cheers my guy, nice Cache run
Thanks, broski! ⌨🖱
Nice vid
5:15 "who could do this?!" Jeff Lenosky haha you ever watch the stuff he climbs?
Yup. I've seen his stuff. Infinite stamina with great trials skills = unstoppable climber. He's barely human. Lol
You guys can seriously ride. A month ago i hit up lower black mt. That was good enough for me those climbs are tough 😊🤙🏽
Thanks! We walked 90% of the climbs though. 😅 It took half the day to finish the whole thing with all the breaks we took. Worth it for the epic descent though. I'll give just doing lower a try next time. That section was super fun. 😁👍
Ha ha ya'll the realist🤙🏾🤘🏾💪🏾
Thanks, dude! Glad you like it.
Awesome content guys! Watching your older videos and I'm hooked. Also just curious, do you usually drive or fly to your mtb destinations?
We only flew with our bikes once. It wasn't the best experience. We usually just drive. I've done multiple 10 hour drives at this point. You get used to it pretty fast. I just listen to podcasts the whole way. 😁👍
Black mountain is an incredible trail, once you get the climbing over with its some of the most gnarly downhill you'll ride.
Yup! It has some great descents. It's still a pain in the butt to hike-a-bike though. 😅
This was the first trail I did in the area and I did it by myself on a short travel trail bike. I felt like I got beat with a shovel the next day.
I'm glad you survived. I bet everything else feels easy now. 😅
I’ve been riding two months and did it on a short travel yesterday. not bragging, just trying to explain how ill advised my ride was. I would still be shaking in terror if I wasn’t the most exhausted I have ever been. That trail is no joke and there should be warnings to wanna-be riders like me. I had no business on that trail.
Same! I took a trip to the area a couple years ago and didn't do enough research. I ended up riding this trail.. on my hardtail. Oops. I don't know how I made it out alive. Didn't feel too bad the next day, but I definitely hated myself on the climb up!
“Jashen, don’t slam your brake!” I think someone needs to practice what she preaches lol.
Punisher 911 😂🤣😅
🤣😂🤣
Great vid guys! Climbs suck, but those with the big payoffs are acceptable, eh?
Absolutely! Never understood "climb only" trails anyway. hehe
That just looks Tough...
Yup, probably never gonna do all of that again. Maybe just the lower part. 😅
@@dukeofmtb lol
“You’re a Ninja,,, You’re a Ninja,,, You’re a NINJA!!,,,,,, Nope... 😂
😂🤣
Are you guys going to put more videos out now that the coronavirus is forcing you to stay home from trips
I still have a decent amount of backlog. No shortage of footage to edit here. 😁
The Duke of MTB that good
A full black mountain climb takes about 3 hours
Yeah, you're probably right. We took a lot of brakes though. This was the first time my brother and his wife rode a trail with climbs like this. We can't leave anybody behind, especially since there's no cellphone reception if anything goes awry. 😉👍
@@dukeofmtb yup. It's a beast. I did it last year. Cursed all the way up. But the ride down is epic.
@@americantrailrider7031 Yup. Everybody was ready to murder me. 😂🤣 It was my idea to ride this trail that day.
I did this yesterday with only 2 months experience on a bike. Can’t believe I’m alive and it was the most exhausting and terrifying thing I have ever done.

Dimsum
The girl sounds like shes from the Philippines
😄 that's because she is. 👍
@@dukeofmtb lol I knew it 🤣 good stuff man, me and the squad will be riding brevard on September,
@@MCMTB Nice! Have fun, dudes! 🤘
You can shuttle to the top.
We did, but we started from Club Gap and rode Upper Upper Black, Upper Black, Mid, and so forth. We'll probably never do _that_ again. 😅 Best to shuttle to were the descent starts, which is what I'm assuming you meant.
Yes shuttle to club gap. Have you done Avery Creek?
Yes! Only once so far. That trail is a blast. Can't wait to go back and hit some of the features I missed the first time.
What camera is your wife using btw?
She's wearing a 360 cam on the forehead of her helmet. It sticks out just past the visor to get everything.
Black Mountain and Heartbreak 2 of the worse climbs in the area, but also 2 of the best downhills.
Yup. The climbs on those two trails can break a person. Epic descents for sure though.
The climbs are brutal... we lost an accomplished rider just from that.
