Yessir! Always appreciate the informative and useful Raven content man! I've been trying to implement B44 more as a wall combo ender but have using BT D4 which hits if they try to roll but BT f4 looks to be a wayyyyyyy better option haha. 😅 I can't say goodbye to BT D4 despite is launch punishable frames in this game. Keep up the great content man, 10K subs is on the horizon for you!

I've been questioning oki options for Raven (I usually just do d3 but that whiffs on techrolls) and no guide out there covers it as well as yours. This also goes for the other guides and I think I've been spoiled by how in-depth your guides are for learning Raven that when I wanted to learn other characters, I have a hard time since there is no guide that is as in-depth on other characters as yours is. Soulzone from crouch dash was such a helpful tip. So much of the time my opponent will just freeze up and either get hit or because they freeze up, be forced to block whatever SZ move I use

@@imortalXsoul That combo is so fun to do, do you use it in matches or is it too inconsinstent for you? When I don't sidestep enough the szn4 doesn't connect but it's 63 dmg, same as my regular combo so I'm gonna use your fancy one now.

uf4 is one of my favorite moves to use against players who love to duck but I just finish the string, didn't think to use the first hit for oki. That's gonna be a nice addition to my tool kit
its so good for oki, been using it since T7 but less cos the move was nerfed a bit regarding whiff recovery LMAO

13:21 I’m a noob in Tekken, but it’s not a bug, it’s an untechable in my game. Usually it’s landing an attack on the same frame that person hits the ground. I don’t know if it’s the same in Tekken though, but if it takes even 1 frame to do anything like crouch, jump, block, etc then there’s nothing they can do about it, it’s just guaranteed.
It’s most likely having to turn around that’s getting hit. It takes frames to turn around and between turning around and being able to block the move hits.
Haze seems to be using a very different Oki set up at the wall. He would do the spike into "safe" slide or spike into wall splat mix up. very effective.
I found that it’s inconsistent and also depends on character regarding how safe the slide actually is but still a nice set up regardless. You can’t set up a safe slide at the wall. It’s qcf1 sz 4 and it can be -12

@imortalXsoul 14:00 the reason it can’t be blocked is because the opponent is in FUFA recovery - when they do a backwards recovery it extends the amount of time their back is facing towards you (since they turn around while they stand up) and you can’t block while your back is turned. This is the same reason that Dragunov used to be able to launch you if you backrolled after his 1+2 grab.
A POSSIBLE way to block is to directly hold down-back (or hold up and swap to down-back), since that recovers a bit quicker and doesn’t build as much space (which might cause the SZ4 to be more minus on block also) - although that also turns the back for a bit, so it may still be not enough time to block.
This also all applies to FDFT recovery, which has the same back-facing recovery animation.

Quick question, if they block the soulzone slide on wakeup consistently is there another option to deal with this. Being minus 9 in someones face basically ends your turn on wakeup but i didint see any ither way to deal with this. Loving the content! Looking forward to more!
It depends on where you are on the stage, usually SZ 2 will not hit, you can use SZ white hole to continue pressure. The purpose of the -9 slide is to bait a punish. Usually players will try to launch it or try something -12/13 for example, which are usually either duck launchable or straight up punishable
So much doomposting about Raven right now makes your enthusiasm always such a breath of fresh air. Reminds us why we all love this character.

Unfortunately they don’t give us the option to move stuff around. We’ve been asking for command history to be reverted back to Tekken 7 layout 😅😅😅

@@emiliano3873 combo videos have those, i photoshopped custom notation in for my combo videos but this is a guide not a combo vid. Also they take literally 5 hours + for one vid lol

I recently got my first arcade stick. It's a used Mayflash F300 and it's pretty good for its price. But to use it on my PS5 it needs an adaptor. Do you think it's worth it for Tekken 8? Especially for characters like Raven, Victor, and some Mishimas...

Just picked up raven when you get the backturn slide bb3+4 but you do it from a far range and dont go through your opponent and stay in front can you get a combo still? (sorry if thats confusing)

bt g clef (bt 22/bt 221) is the only option that actually frame traps. Everything else can be mashed out of

In Raven’s case: BT 2,2,1. G-clef denotes a string where if the first hit is a counter hit the rest of the string cannot be blocked.

I couldnt get the timing..the cpu kept blocking it but what did come out and is the 3 and then i started doin 3,2

Both, you're probably timing it wrong. The further away the f23 hits, the more safe it is

Oki literally means when you attack (mix) your opponent when they are getting up! That’s the definition

I played him online got him to garyu but compared to the other characters like jin that can pretty much do any and everything and be safe raven lacks everything his back turn is a complete joke i wish they give him back his haze instead of soul zone that opponents can just poke you outta it felt like harada didn't like him cause he buff paul who didn't need the buff even steve got buff beside making aqua spider easier that's it that's all they did with him.
i think SZ could be great if they added movement options from it like haze
