Got curious and tested the escape party against the whole cast’s heat smash: Can launch: Alisa, Asuka, Claudio, Dragunov, King, Panda, and Paul Rising 4 punish: Steve, Kazuya Follow ups will hit or need to be blocked: Azucena, Jack, Jin, Jun, Kuma, Lars, Nina, Victor, Yoshi, Zafina Works but with no real punish: Bryan, Devil Jin, Feng, Law, Shaheen, Raven (negates follow ups), Reina (knocks out of HW) Can do 2 escape parries with no real punish: Hwoarang, Lee, Leo, Leroy, Lili, Xiaoyu Some of the double parry ones can probably be tested more but I’m pretty confident in this. Also thanks for the videos my man. Made learning Raven way easier.

Are we allowed to make more than one suggestion on the community post for Raven101 videos? A video on tech traps and set ups would be a great one. Here is another idea that all Raven players would appreciate. I find myself playing Raven differently depending on the character I'm up against. A video series on how to counter each character in the game as Raven would be marvelous. For example, I did a lab test on how to counter Victor as Raven. I discovered after Victor fires that gun and gose into stance, Raven's D,3 beats out every option Victor has as long as Victor is in range. You just have to press down 3 immediately after the gunshot is blocked. You can double-check my work and make some corrections if you find anything that's off. Some of us Ravens don't have enough time to do detailed labbing on countering characters as Raven, so I thought it would be a great expansion to add to the Raven101 series.

Very nice technics showing but one thing: Need to be very carefull at wall corner using teleport parries, because if you teleport on wall again you're just... dead. So we need to make sure to teleport on the other side. Been in similar situation and it didn't end up really well as I didn't know you can teleport behind opponent. Also, after watching the last guide with back turn and trying to "muscle memory" it, my Raven at last will become intimidating af.

it’s just match up knowledge. I’m having the same issues vs reinas just pressing strings. I don’t know the strings yet or gaps in the pressure. Victor not so much, his heat u1+2 is the annoying one
@imortalXsoul thoughts on BT 3,4? Only i10 and neutral on block. Its high mid while the mid is not steppable, you can get crouched and launched during it. It also seems to be a natural hit string.

However, I'm uncertain if confronting the GHOST in Tekken 8 is an effective method for enhancing my skills. Could engaging in bouts against the GHOST in Tekken 8 be considered a beneficial form of practice?
I was messing around with parries last night and was trying to figure out why some moves let me parry with F,1+2 from back turn and some got me hit...so I have to be -4 to -9 for the F1+2 parry to work?
Great video man! Correct me if im wrong, but when the game first came out i briefly tried testing if Raven could B+2+4 parry heat smashes. I tried against Kazuya and Paul since they were low starting heat smashes. But was surprised that i wasnt able to as i keep eating them. But i was in a player match yesterday and parried Kaz's smash. I feel like the recent patches fixed it? Or am I tripping and has he always beem able to parry smashes? Im getting old. 😅

There is a hidden move that you are not using and is also not in the move list i dont know if im ready to share it yet ive seen nobody use it not even in videos
It feels so bad to main him atm.they took his1,1 when it was clear the style needed it and they jailed him in on his backflip taking away his mobility .he does not have good combo options on the combo heavy game .only one or two hit combos that are risky ass hell

Tekken 7, Raven some parries could vary teleport distance slightly by holding left or right. That ability is gone now?

it depends on what you parry. You can punish certain moves or strings that have a lot of recovery with it or not depending on the move

better solution: learn the strings in replay mode

not really well he has soul zone 4 which is very long range

low parry isn’t exclusive to raven. There’s no reason to do a video on low parry. Just press df when you anticipate a low 💀
