Although Durango hosts several fine hotels, you can't go wrong with parking an RV or pitching a tent at one of the local campgrounds. There's no finer way to enjoy Durango's incredible scenery and fresh mountain air!
NOTE: United Campground is located 1.3 miles north of the Mild to Wild office, not 5 miles as is said in the video.

Great video. went through Durango in ‘77 on the way from the GC to Rcky Mt Nat’l Park. Then back to NC. my first time off work in 3 yrs.
Loved what I saw of Durango. ‘think I need to return.
Thank you! Durango is such a fun and special place! It's certainly changed a lot since '77, but there's still a ton of fun to be had for everyone
@peetyw8851 * I also stayed at the United campground when I came through Durango in 84 on a motorcycle trip from North Carolina to Western Wyoming and found it to be one if the nicest ones between there and NC. We also went to Rocky Mountain National Park and had a great time. I can't say enough about the area, especially the friendly people there. I'd recommend this particular campground to anyone who is looking for a good secure place to stay with great accommodations. For my money, it's hard to beat! ☮✌

I will look into some of these, i work for a plumbing company in durango but i live in grand junction and the super 8 is getting a little bit too pricy for me to keep staying there
