1987 I'm 27 years old and in the prime of my life. Loved Foreigner but the way it all went down with Lou pissed me off. I bought his cd when it first came out and I heard this song I got goose bumps. And when I hear it today at 64 I get those same goose bumps. Lou, you're the greatest lead vocalist of a generation. Thanx for the tunes dude.
There aren't even any of the original Foreigner Band members left. It's nothing but a cover band. That being said, I could listen to Lou Gramm all day and night long.
Had a stroke!!?? OMG!! Lou didn’t have a stoke! He had a brain tumor some 27 yrs ago and it wreaked havoc with him recovery wise for years!! Poor guy! Unbelievable he sings this good!! True WARRIOR!
I'll be damned!!!! He's still got it! I've got to be honest, with his age, and past health issues, I would have thought his talent would have slipped a little bit. But not at all! He hit every note!!! I'm beyond happy for Lou Gramm - he deserves a second coming!

The amazing part his the man has been through hell and worked is butt off to get back to this place in time, where he can sing like this. Much respect.
I remember it well. Midnight Blue was my favourite song in 1987. I used to play it on max volume in my beautiful Datsun 260Z, scream it out for all to hear, haha.
The iconic voice of a generation.......he defined what a great rock singer was all about. Midnight Blue proved emphatically that he could do it without Foreigner. By contrast..Foreigner never had a hit song without Lou Gramm. Class act.

I was amazed and so happy for him. He has gained back almost all of that classic Lou Gramm sound. Hopefully he won't retire like he has hinted. What great karma it would be for Mick to completely hang it up, and have Lou soldier on for a few more years. 😂
My 1st lp was Double Vision, giving to me for a Christman present along with a cheap record player. It was 1978 I was in the 5th grade and 10 years old. Thanks' mom.
It's crazy and amazing at the same time that it seems his singing voice is getting a second life. That brain tumor totally ravaged his health, and frankly, i didn't see him coming back from it. He's not romping around stage like he did in his 30's, but who among us does now? He puts his effort into the vocals. A really awesome rendition of his solo classic!!!
When my parents bought me a CD-player around 1990, most of my records went into the trash can. But not this one. Kept it for 35 years in the basement. And when I bought my son a record player this year, this was the first song we played.
Saw Foreigner Saturday 23 ,1978 in El Paso Texas for 7.50 + service fee 1.50 under 😮 10.00 dollars!?! For a great super fantastic 🎉show played all their hits to that point. Played for about 2.30 hours!!! Those were the good old concert 🎶 days. 😢miss those days!!!!-.-
