- In the midst of the fast-paced, modern world of Atlanta, GA lies an unexpected island of stately trees, tranquil water features and a dazzling assortment of blooms. Oakland Cemetery was one of America’s first city parks and is now a 48-acre secret garden.
My husband and I started taking care of an abandoned cemetery in our city of Jersey City, NJ over 10 years ago. We have come far and still have a ways to go but it’s my dream to restore it and make it a tranquility garden for the city again. This video was wonderful and Oakland cemetery has been inspirational for me….thank you.

Thanks Ellen. You're very welcome!
Our rural cemeteries often have old roses or daffodils growing in them. I enjoyed this segment and also enjoyed seeing Erica Glasener in front of the camera.

Stunning 💌
I've finally found where my father's mother and father is buried also a great deal of other family members including a uncle that died on Guam in WW2, I plan on going to the cemetery and plant some flowers and clean the markers so people will know they're not forgotten.
