the fact alone that you took that scary looking book and learned so much just to make this video legit is so awesome! and it's fascinating what technology can do even now! I sure hope to catch you play cyberpunk on twitch :) love ya, ace!
I wasn't expecting another installment of this series so soon but Im super excited that it came out! On a fascinating topic, with good research no less!
I don't care about making google searches with my brain, a PC with firefox is good enough; I just want my left leg back and my eyes don't become blurry every morning and pitch black every night (this one causes my endless anxiety).
"Sarif was right about one thing. It's in our nature to want to rise above our limits. Think about it. We were cold, so we harnessed fire. We were weak, so we invented tools. Every time we met an obstacle, we used creativity and ingenuity to overcome it. The cycle is inevitable... but will the outcome always be good? I guess that will depend on how we approach it. These past few months, I was challenged many times, but more often than not, didn't I try to keep morality in mind, knowing that my actions didn't have to harm others? Time and time again, didn't I resist the urge to abuse power and resources simply to achieve my goals more swiftly? In the past, we've had to compensate for weaknesses, finding quick solutions that only benefit a few. But what if we never need to feel weak or morally conflicted again? What if the path Sarif wants us to take enables us to hold on to higher values with more stability? One thing is obvious. For the first time in history, we have a chance to steal fire from the gods. To turn away from it now - to stop pursing a future in which technology and biology combine, leading to the promise of a Singularity - would mean to deny the very essence of who we are. No doubt the road to get there will be bumpy, hurting some people along the way. But won't achieving the dream be worth it? We can become the gods we've always been striving to be. We might as well get good at it." - Adam Jensen, Deus Ex: Human Revolution
To add to the topic three years late. I must say the topic scares me. Not particularly the meaning it could have for amputees or other people in need of health upgrade for medical problems, i hope for the best for them, and not the more known problem of how the tech could be used by an outside sorce to influence other people but how well people are actually equipped to handle perfection. Sure learing a skill and failing and messing up can suck and takes years of work and frustration but all that will elevate the satisfaction of success, something just downloading a language in your brain cannot do. Also, i believe that a lot of beauty operations prove this, humans seem to be bad at measuring their real ups and downs. So often people reject their most interesting quirks that make them special and the world fuller and richer with character to seek almost uncanny perfection
New series is something new, duh. Don’t worry about views, it’s still a great and informative videos nonetheless. Narration is on top too! I guess you are benefiting from it by self-educating and that’s the way to go, trust me. Anyway, I wanted to say that I’m looking forward to seeing new videos. Best of luck, Ace
İ would not. Because I believe that human beings are created in the best way possible. Trying to make it better is not a good idea imo. Also human beings are not just flesh, we also have a soul and I think transhumanism would wipe the soul.
@@GuardianMehmed I don't have an as spiritual take on that matter, so I dare to disagree that humans are perfect as they are. If they were we wouldn't have to deal with diseases like cancer, which itself is uncontrollable but rather natural cell grow which in the end can be fatal for the human body. In fact I think there's no perfect state the human body can evolve into, since evolution has no defined end. Still, the human body is just a mere prototype of what it - naturally - could turn out to be in the far future. Cybernetic technology still can have a significant impact on that - for the good or worse though.
@@StrikeAgainstMusiclife is not supposed to be a fairy tale, diseases are part of this life we have. And even if we dont see the spiritual aspect, human body is pretty strong and its functions are generally perfect, this body we have is a miracle i belive.(ua-cam.com/video/e_1utfWwdD4/v-deo.html check this video) well, hopefully we will see what's really gonna happen when this kind of tech comes or our childs will see

Unless it is an emergency, death or life situation, I would not want them in my body.

There's no such thing as body augmentation, it is called mutilation.
All these mutilated handicapped people with prosthetics would disagree.
@@welcometheoverlords They would actually agree.
