    Hey Jade..your hair turned out beautifully..as you know i also am a roller set girly..I agree that the tension rollers help smooth the hair down and also are easier for beginners to use..there is a seller on etsy called hourglass rollers who ive purchased from before...also can i just tell you i got a heated round brush to set my curls with and let me tell you its a game changer

    Okay I’m convinced! I have the magnetic rollers already but I’m going to purchase the tension rollers from the salon you’ve linked before to get the best results possible 🤞🏾

    Question: @0:37 , is your hair wet wet? Or semi wet? I have VERY thick hair and when I tried this is the past the curl didn’t take all the way…. I am thinking cause my hair was too wet? That I may need to do this on semi-dry & spray the leave in ??? Can u give me advice/tip

      Hey! So you want your hair to be just BEFORE soaking wet. Not damp though; the more water or products you add the longer your hair will take to dry so you probably took the rollers down too early if the curls didn’t hold!

    Dominican blowouts use roller sets.I wonder if the the process and products are different

      I’ve seen variations of this technique done by Dominican hairstylist but also I’ve never personally gotten a Dominican blowout so I’m just speaking from an observation perspective!

      This technique works on tighter textures..I have tighter curls then her..the key is to smooth out the hair and hold it taught before your roll them..using a shower brush or a good detangling brush..also finding the right styling foam is key as well as how hydrated the hair is plays a factor with the results.

      @@heavaforeva Have you been watching that series? I really should have said “more textured hair.” I'm going to edit my comment.
      Silky textures, regardless of the curl diameter get great results easily. It's more challenging for people with textures that are more cotton-like to get smooth results.
      In the series, you can see this and that's one of the reasons why the stylist uses heat afterward.

    • @heavaforeva
      @heavaforeva 19 днів тому +1

      @@michelleej yes I have followed the series and commented on her post for tips..and yes it works on tighter textures like myself. You do not have to use heat after taking to rollers out but I have found that using a bit of heat help seal the moisture in. There are a couple of hair stylists on IG that I follow that provide some useful techniques and tips that help with longevity of the styles..
