Just hired a Cupra Leon VZ over the weekend and did a 2000km road trip. Best car I've taken on a long trip. My girlfriend absolutely loved it. She rips as soon as you put her in Cupra mode. 300hp is no joke!
Would have destroyed Golf R sales I reckon. They do have an AWD Leon variant (VZX 5 Door Sportstourer) which is now in big talks for coming to Australia now the Golf R wagon is no longer sold here.
SEAT can't produce hatchback with AWD because it would make S3 and Golf R not sell that much, because for me i don't really care about brand i care about engine, transmission, traction, etc.. if it is AWD it would be a very good machine, now is good but as u said some things missed, because they can't do it Volkswagen doesn't let them.
Yeah not too bad for a hot hatch. Some rivals like the i30N are a bit stiffer, but some like the Golf GTI are a bit more comfortable. The VZ is a decent balance.
I don’t get it the market for this car, its still a VW (good luck) but non existent dealer network / support, pretty same (overpriced) price as GTI, but less performance, more expensive tyres = its gonna to hideously depreciate
Yah, i'm seeing now Cupra VZ for 30k with only 20k KM, in 3,4 years it will be 25 or something like that with 40k KM or something like that, for price is nice, but if u want all the performance go Golf R or S3.
No one knows how to hurt tyres quite like you, Driving Enthusiast. Great review as per usual, keep it up!

mate, when will you review byd seal? I can't wait.
Just saw a listing for this exact car on carsales and it had your name on the last connected bluetooth for one of the photos 🤣. Great review!
Haha
Have driven the VZX pretty quick car though i don't understand why it is not AWD Thanks for the review

Agree - I didn't want an S.U.V (even crossover) and would have definitely gone for the Leon,. but decided on the 306 bhp Formentor due to the A.W.D
@@OscarLodge I was thinking the same thing but i wont go for a Formentor so my only options are Golf R or S3 i guess

Not bad I guess, the change from first gear to 2nd seems to be letting it down. But of a delay.
If it's available in Australia means I can ship it to Indonesia
I miss both Europe and Indonesia at the same time but anyway
VZX next!
What's the cost differential between the two?
about 2k difference without on road costs
What's it like in comfort mate?

What do they say... lipstick on a pig.
That is not a 40K euro car. In my humble opinion.
