Who else wants the 90s back?
90s was the last decade of great music.
It was all over after that.
If we could only go back.
We didn't know how good we had it.

The 90's was the coolest decade in my life and I'm in my fifties. The best music, people were cooler, nicer and more respectful. Life wasnt cheap. As a woman, dudes were cooler and more respectful. No f#$** social media. I love Counting Crows. One of the great bands of that era. It reminds me of taking pictures on my daughters high school prom night. Miss those days terribly ..Want to beam myself back. xoxo

Just got back from the concert three hours ago. 1) I miss the 90s so much, it's crazy.
2)They sounded sooo soooo good. I love them, his voice is actually getting better as time goes on.
    3) I hope they know we all still love them. They sounded like perfection tonight.

I just listened to this song for about the 50th time, and focused in on the instruments for the first time. Not that I hadn't heard the instruments before, of course. But this time I really paid attention to the talent level. Every one of these guys jams! Not only that, but they do several different breakdowns where just two instruments hold it down for a moment, and every one of those segments works. Fantastic track! 😎👏👊🤘🕺🎯🎸🎹🥁🎼🎶🎵

Brings back good memories when I was growing up in high school. Counting Crows, Matchbox 20, Third Eye Blind and Oasis were my all time favorite alternative bands in the 90's. I miss those days. Alternative you can say today its pretty much dead on mainstream now. Music has changed so much today. Now everyone is into rap and electronic/pop in which I don't have a problem with peoples taste of music.

I was born in '92, and I can tell you all that I was raised with a part of the 90's inside of me. Looking at music from the last 10 years, music has taken a leap off a cliff. You could fart in a mic now and get a platinum album, in my opinion. Bands like this are inspirational and uplifting.. They gave music more then just a beat, and know-nothing lyrics. They added meaning.

We spend all day getting sober
    Just hiding from daylight
    Watching TV
We just look a lot better in the blue light
Well, you know I gotta get out
    But I'm stuck so tight
Weighed by the chains that keep me...
Hangin' around this town on the corner
I been bummin' around this old town too long
I been hangin' around this town on the corner
I been bummin' around this old town for way too long
And this girl listens to the band play
She says "Where have you been?
I've been lyin' right here on the floor"
Well, I got all this time
To be waiting for what is mine
To be hating what I am
    After the light has faded
Hangin' around this town on the corner
I been bummin' around this old town so long
I been hangin' around this town on the corner
I been bummin' around this old town for way, way, way, way, way too long
I Hangin' around this town on the corner
I been bummin' around this old town too long
I been hangin' around this town on the corner
I been bummin' around this old town for way way, way, way, way too long
Way way, way, way, way too long
Way way, way, way, way too long
Way way, way, way, way too long
Way way, way, way, way too long
Way way, way, way, way too long
Way way, way, way, way too long

It's funny: when I was a kid I used to love this song, because it made me feel motivated to move out of my hometown (due to how boring everything was). Now as an adult, it just fills me with so much nostalgia about that same hometown, and the memories I have of growing up there. Just goes to show this song was brilliantly written.

Easily one of the top songs that instantly brings me right back to the 90s and eveything so wonderful about that era! Adam and co. sure know how to pump real emotion and life into their music. Its hard not to deeply feel somethint while listening to Counting Crows. Bravo bravo boys, thanks for the great memories

Just realized that this is pretty musically close to "Steal My Sunshine" and that explains a lot about why this is a sleeper favorite of mine.

That song is also great. Steal My Sunshine was built around a very short sample from “More, More, More” by Andrea True Connection. Very different, but another jam you might enjoy.

One thing I have always loved about Counting Crows since the 1993 album is Adam never lets the talent of the band go to his head and claims himself as the lead singer that holds the band together. In reality, every band member and Adam truly love music and to jam and they still work together to this day to make great music. Adam always makes sure to never take all the credit and in some cases, will correct a person and remind them that its the whole band that make it happen. This video is another great example as the Crows being Crows. Smiling, jamming, and having such a great time. Its never all about Adam. Its about the music they make together and everyone feeling blessed they are along for the ride. "There's a bird that nests inside you. Sleeping underneath your skin. When you open up your wings to speak I wish you'd let me in"
