Those “worms” look like algae Bill.. I would drain the tank and filter the diesel that comes out and pour it back in to wash out that crap.. hell with taking that tank out.. you might not want to run your storage tank down so low because a lot of junk tends to find its way there and if you’ve got algae you’ve got water in it too.. have a great weekend!
Most likely there is a strainer in the outlet in the fuel tank that is plugged with trash or algae, common problem. Also the fuel pump doesn’t sound the greatest.
JD Parts does not show a strainer in the fuel tank. I have the same tractor and looking through the technical manual it does not mention or illustration a strainer in the tank. It is normal for the fuel pump on these tractors to just make a weak ticking sound.
@@Inwetrust-qy2ly I have the same tractor and my lift pump sounds the same way. They all make that strange ticking sound. I agree, a lot of tanks have a little strainer in the outlet fitting but there seems to be no mention of one in this tank. I guess we'll find out for sure when Bill pulls the tank. :-) Little bits of dirt or debris usually isn't a problem as the strainer in the water separator will filter it out. But if his tank has a lot of goo and sludge on the bottom that could be a problem.
A lot of good suggestions. May I add one that might save you from removing the tank. Drain as much fuel as you can, then add a biocide treatment to kill the microbes (actually bacteria). Refill with diesel. You'll probably have to change the fuel filter.
The Operator's manual is your friend. That spin-on fuel filter is supposed to be changed every 400 hrs. You are supposed to PRE-FILL the filter, lubricate the O-ring with diesel fuel and tighten it ONE FULL TURN after the O-ring makes contact.
You can buy cheap endoscope cameras on ebay that connect to your phone that are awesome for inspecting things without needing to disassemble them first.
When I first saw the gunk in the water separator, it looked like algae. You may have to clean out your fuel tank, big supply tank and treat it with algecide
I was plowing with my Case VAC and my one bottom plow a couple days ago, and I blew 3 gaskets, I also had some fuel issues, and somehow cracked the frame of the plow
Check your oil and fuel tank on a diesel it does not always smoke white when a head gasket blows.it depends on which side intake or exhaust gas the hole in the head gasket.
Well the seriousness of it is injector pump, fuel pump, burned up liners. The more I watch people work on them coolant getting into the oil you can always dump to check then put back . Then the thermostat not opening. Best thing eliminate what it could be versus is. Hopefully 🙏 nothing major hmm loosing prime sounds like either injector pump or fuel or both. It’s mechanical if it’s still does it I’d ask jd may be a trip to them.
Haven’t read through the comments yet…. But I’ve experienced floaters in the fuel tank swirling around and blocking the bottom drain line temporarily and will cause your issue.
When you unhooked supply line from tank to water separator, Is it possible you didnt have good flow because you left fuel tank cap on. Then you mentioned you unscrewed the tank cap and tried again and had good flow. It may have just been a vacuum giving appearance of a constricted flow. Just a thought… Also this makes for a great video but cemetery owners should agree to let you work in the good ole shop seeing your saving them big $$$. Again, just a thought and hopeful wishing 🤞
The electric one that you hear is your lift pump.the injector pump is after the lift pump.if you go to Deere and tell them you want the fuel pump you will have a heart attack when you get the few grand price tag.the lift pump is at close to a grand but more likely a few hundred dollars.
There may be a screen/filter in the bottom of the fuel tank. Sounds like you definitely need to clean your tank out. Also, the algae other comments have mention will destroy an injector pump.
You got a bit of air in the fuel system by turning the lift pump on with both the separator and filter off you are taking the wrong on off that one is the supply line
Hey Bill check the top of your fuel top your field top should hit a hole in top little baby whole if it's small enough you probably can't tell that it's clogged up your fuel cap is got small little breather hole in it if it's clogged do I have to say I'm way ahead I had the same problem with machine I drive
@@billstmaxx No need for it to have one as there are two fuel filters after the fuel tank - both of which are very easy to change. If there was a strainer in the tank yours would have been blocked solid long ago.
The 'worms' looks like microbial contamination of diesel. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microbial_contamination_of_diesel_fuel

@@eosjoe565 Usually there is a strainer in the fitting for the hose in the tank, fuel pump sounds horrible, not like they normally sound.

I'd just call the JD dealer and tell them you're comin in hot with a basket case.
This is howI found your channel, working on the first small JD tractor. I went out and bought one. I’ll be paying attention. Thanks Bill.

The first stuff to come out was water.you need to check your water separator on your main fuel tank.
4bolts to take the tank out, no need to remove the dash. I have had mine out when I was replacing my cam so I could wash everything really good.
can you drain the tank and then use rags to clean the big stuff and matbe blow aie down the top of the tank to push the stuff out maybe
You can buy cheap endoscope cameras on ebay that connect to your phone that are awesome for inspecting things without needing to disassemble them first.
Bill could you do a grading or digging video with the 110tlb. Or do a oil change
I would just drain tank and vacuum it it out
Hey Bill do u run any additives in the gd ? Example injector cleaner , cold weather additives for fuel.?

Had very similar problem with a 2305 I had, crud in the tank was the problem for me. I am looking at a used 2032 ,have you been happy with yours??
Hopefully the tank in the tractor isn’t algae’d over your gonna have to treat it that do it to.

Regular maintenance an fuel additive every fill up
another trick is to syphon the tank, refill and syphon again . do several times that should get 90% of the muck out of the tank

Dear John: 🚽☹️
Isn't there a screen of sorts in the filler opening for diesel fuel?

Can you mow over your septic system with that tractor?
oh yeah.
I use Baldwin and wix filters there good filters and cheaper.

no nothing at all.. Bad on deere i think

take it to deere let them to the work lol may be expensive but they work on those for a living
Drain your tank and look inside with your flexible camera and see what is going on before you tear the whole thing apart. Might be a simple fix.
Fuel filter
new tractor time? been nerly 8 years now
no no.. only 1285 hours on it so far
@@billstmaxx only! You traded your old one in at 5 years I think can’t remember how many hours tho
On top of your cap is a small little hole clean the hole on top of your cap of your fuel cap
You might have opened a can of worms there, got bacteria growing in the fuel 🤷♂️
long pipe to the bottom of the tank and syphon or pump the shit out at least try this first save the hassle of removal
for how many hours it gets you should be tbh be doing fuel filters when ever you do oil changes
Hi
Bill contact me I carry diesel additives for both vehicles as well for equipment
