Thanks for the shout out. Nice video
The artillian tool rack is great.
You can use it with the cab, but I remove the tool bar when using the backhoe. Luckily it is quick detach
I agree with the negatives. I have upgraded the grill guard, and upgraded to the self leveling loader but it would be nice to have those from the factory

Glad to hear that welding is on your bucket list, not dying Josh. I laughed out load when you said that. I have a Kubota L2501 and have pretty much the same issues that you have. I have been a Deere guy my entire 64 years, yet went with Kubota. I have a you tube friend that had a friend of his custom make a brush guard for his Kubota L series. That friend then started a side business making the guards. I bought one for my Kubota . The you tube friend then gifted me a laser cut custom design for the front that spells out "Tractor Talk" with the you tube subscribe arrow in it. That was super nice of him and if I do say so myself, it looks pretty darned good on there.
As far as the issues and gripes that we have, there will always be things that we like and things that we don't about our tractors. What steered me away from Deere and over to Kubota was that they wanted to charge me $170 for a drawbar. I get that it is probably some bean counter in a suit in an office cubicle somewhere thinking how much extra money he can make the huge international corporation by charging extra for something the tractor buyer cannot do without. What he fails to take in to consideration is that it just lost a sale north of $20,000 from a life long customer.
I will always have my John Deeres on my 224 acre farm in Iowa. But now if and when I suffer from a cut, I don't bleed pure green. There is a bit of orange in there too. Thanks for sharing Josh.

LOL... I love the saying that commas matter... makes a difference if you say, Let's eat Grandma... or Let's eat, Grandma... haha clearly pauses do as well. I would love to learn to weld... so much of what I do comes from brute force learning... i need a mentor that can teach me the right way to do some of this stuff vs. "the Hardy way"... haha I like that custom brush guard idea, sounds really cool. I can't say we bleed green other than the money we spent buying tractors and implements... haha... we could easily be swayed if the alternative is equally as good and gets the job done. Btw, that drawbar scenario is nuts... you got that right, penny wise pound foolish on their part. Thanks again for watching and the continued support Gary!

If you bought a kubota over $170 you didn’t really bleed green

@@jimbennett1519 , it was the principal of the matter. I think I have been a pretty dedicated and loyal John Deere customer over the years. I think that I would have been happy with any of the little tractors that I looked at. The question that needs to be asked is are John Deeres the best tractors out here? I am one that thinks that they are pretty darned good. Where Deere shines is their parts availability and dealer network. They don't take a back seat to anyone on either one of those issues. I still hav e 4 John Deere tractors on my farm and I love having each and every one of them.
I buy around $200 dollars worth of oil, filters, mower blades, and miscellaneous stuff from my local John Deere dealers here every year. I won't get both feet in the door before someone will greet me with a "Hi Gary". I would rate their customer service as outstanding. My Dad had bought 2 pieces of Kubota equipment, and that sort of got the ball rolling with Kubota. He wanted a Gator but Deere hadn't come out with power steering yet and the Kubota RTV 900 came standard with power steering. ( My Dad was 88 when he bought the RTV 900) He later set out to buy a new lawn tractor and could buy the Kubota with a 54 in deck and diesel engine much cheaper than the comparable Deere with a gas engine. I wanted him to get the Deere as it was much more deluxe and I didn't like Kubota's rocker pedal for the hydrostatic vs. Deeres twin touch system. The Deere is laid out nicer and much more user friendly than the Kubota. It looks like Deere set the operator down in the seat and then built the tractor around him.
BTW, I am wearing a John Deere sweatshirt and a John Deere cap today... but I am using my Kubota today.

You need to add #6, the MMM actuator. This part if replaced costs $1800 plus dealer installation to validate a one year warranty. Mine failed after 117 hours in 2022, not under warranty. JD claimed they knew about a bad lot but not which tractors had them. They replaced it free and my dealer did not charge for installation. Last week the replacement failed at 147 hours, under warranty. Now my dealer is trying to find one. Issue: the actuator has sensors to electrically raise and lower the deck with an indicator showing height of cut. The sensors get exposed to water, dust, and soil that causes corrosion. It is a poor design, causes down time with the tractor in the shop, and there is no guarantee the new actuator will be any better since at least one owner is on actuator #7. I like the tractor but not the MMM actuator.

You’ve got that right. While I love the concept I’ve had some issues with mine as well but luckily the actuator hasn’t gone out on me yet (knock on 🪵). I just mowed with a grooming mower yesterday for the first time and I’m a changed man. It had some maneuverability challenges vs the mmm but the cut was superior to my 72” mmm. Sorry to hear you have had this challenge. I’ve seen many others in the FB forum bring the issue up as well.

I bent one key and that’s all it took. I now think every time I get off. In addition, I agree 100% about the tool box. I carry a bag or my whole tool box in the FEL. Have you seen or heard of a tool box that mounts to the rops? Great video as always.

Yeh, sam here, bent it and now know to avoid it but still catch it every now and again. I am always carrying stuff in my FEL unless I have forks on... Carry-all in the garage soon to be started... been sitting there for well over a year now... good intentions don't always come with the time needed to follow through... ha! but did see that they are now $70 more than I paid so happy about that. I'll call it foreshadowing and proper preparation... LOL

I wish my tractor had a brush guard too. They call them brush guards but they don't do much. I was pushing some brush back and a little stick cracked the plastic grill on the tractor. I don't understand why they would put that cheap plastic ON A TRACTOR!!! That's just stupid! They always seem to want to cut cost but they're not as tough then. I agree on the tool box too. Mine is small and behind the seet. Not very handy place at all. Don't use it much There's my little rant. 😁😆

Good video and valid issues. A better brush guard and skid plates would be a great option from Deere. Do you have a video of why you choose the 2032 over the 38 model? I got the 2032 over the 38 cause I figured I didn't need the extra HP and was looking to keep my payment in my ballpark. Thanks, Bob

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors
      @HardyBrothersOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

Hey Bob thanks for watching and commenting. In terms of why I chose the 2032R over the 2038R it really came down to availability for me... I bought when the 2038R was just ramping up production so they were harder to acquire and I was impatient. I probably would have gotten it fir the extra HP. This review talks some about the why and also what I like and don’t like and what needs changed and evolved from the initial purchase. Sadly none of my 5 rants here would have been helped by the 2038R as they issues are the same. I know some have opinions on the turbo on the 2038R vs the 2032R but I’m not much of a gear head so don’t fully understand the advantages vs disadvantages.
