yup, the same feeling here. really miss the previous MH games because of the LOOK/DESIGN of the weapon. not saying that the MHW is bad game, not at all. i played MH since MH 1 in PS2, longshot till MH Gen on 3DS Nintendo. and i get excited each and every title of MH games because of the thought of new monster, features/mechanics, and WEAPONS & ARMORS from The monsters itself. and every time my expectation is blown away by the evolution of weapons/armors design of each games. But then when i noticed some of the weapon design in MHW, it came to the point of "WTH with this design, bone sword with little bit skin attached ??". i know that the developers are aiming for a great game-play, but pls, make the little boy in me get hype again every time i saw monster weapons or armors design, and aiming to build EVERY, SINGLE ONE OF THE EQUIPMENT just for mere aesthetic reason. sorry for rambling on your video @arekkzz, but as one of your subs, i believe you can deliver our message to them (Capcom team). *QUESTIONS RELATED TO WEAPON AUGMENTATION:* Im still in base game, so, If I augment a weapon and then buy Iceborne, and I upgrade the augmented weapon, ¿Do that weapon keeps the augment?
@@idiocracy9020 thank you for answering the most important questions bout augmenting. I dont give a fuck if we can augment them after icebonre I wanted to know why tier 8 weapons still had augment slots, assuming that they kept the augment when they got upgraded. honestly, even if its not as big of a visual change as expected, its nice to know that those weapons get something extra that the unique looking ones dont
I kinda wish iceborne would give us a better reason to grind Tempered monster beside just decoration (which i think is really stupid). I wish it'd be more like MHGU where a weapon would branch into 2 different paths, either normal or hyper (or in this case, tempered) weapon. Tempered monsters will give a unique and specific item for each monster and that item can be used to upgrade tempered weapons. It could mean tempered weapon would have higher raw but lower sharpness, or high sharpness but low elementals. while normal monster weapon would be more balanced etc. So we'd have more choice, either balanced weapon or specialized weapon. Not just grinding the same tempered over and over hoping for the blessing of RNGesus
The val hazak charge blade can get the odagaron look. I have mine currently custom upgrade lv4 with 2 element upgrades. I can go to 5 but I ran out of materials xd

I'm at the guiding lands and have gathered all the bone and ore materials from all areas but i still don't have the option to augment weapons.. i'm MR 47 and HR 147, do i need to kill an Arch tempered monster or is there a MR rank i need to reach? special assignment i need to do ??
Does anyone know what material I need for cera cyclord defense increase 3? I have fierce dragonvein bone and slumbering greatbone but idk what monster material I need I have both namielle and tempered namielle material but it still says “???” So I guess that’s not it?
i personally think that there should have been a custom option to change the blade design so the glavenus blaze has the blaze design, but if you could customize it to be the normal buster blade, i recon that would have been cooler that way it is still a GLAVENUS weapon, y'kniw? not a Pukie-Pukie weapon calling itself a Glavenus weapon
may i ask a question? if your previous weapon for ex. GL royal burst has been augmented with 2 health regen then you upgraded it further then does that augment will stack with the new end game augmentations??? im really confuse cause i have been upgrading some of my weapons and not augmenting them by rarity6,7,8.. sorry for my but english haha
Shinji Dimasacat They remove the augments and refund you the mats used for them. Basically, the Iceborne augment system replaces and overrides the base games system. Also the weapon streamstones can now be used as materials for a bew tier of feystone ritual at the elder melder since their original purpose has been discontinued.
Thanks as always, this does however miss the info of what happened with our already upgraded weapons, like if i already had 3 health augments on a weapon, what is the state of that weapon when i start iceborne?
*Laughs in master rank* your high rank augments don’t transfer over to master rank...or more so I mean when you upgrade them to those higher rarities the weapon loses the augment slot. For example in the rathalos longsword tree the rarity 8 wyvern blade “Indigo” has 1 augmentation slot and when it is upgraded to rarity 10 “Indigo”+ it loses that slot. Since rarity 12 is master rank endgame that’s probably when you’ll get the master rank version of augment slots. Either that or rarity 11...
Oh, thanks guys. That's sucks though, so there really is no point in further upgrading my weapons in the months until Iceborne is released on PC. They really didn't plan this well (for this feature at least).
I don't have Iceborne yet, I'm PC only, but checking the footage when you tried to explain the custom mods for the Kurogane as an example, I think you are wrong with how you showcased what the "limit amount" for it is. Unless ofc going even further than what you were able to show fills up the 2nd level "square" on the level section, it seems that you can simply progress through custom mods until you reach a separate maximum that has nothing to do with the Level of the weapon, which seemed to be exclusive only from increasing the amount of slots for the other type of augments.
That's my impression of it as well, especially since the first level box is already filled in before he even puts on a custom upgrade. If it really had a limit of two custom upgrades then that would also be almost worthless because of how little you actually gain from them.
I really hoped that the Custom Augmentations would alter the weapon's appearance too. I say this because, for probably the umpteenth time, Namielle's s&s is visual trash. If it was one of the Iron Ore variants then i would have been ok.

yup, the same feeling here. really miss the previous MH games because of the LOOK/DESIGN of the weapon. not saying that the MHW is bad game, not at all. i played MH since MH 1 in PS2, longshot till MH Gen on 3DS Nintendo. and i get excited each and every title of MH games because of the thought of new monster, features/mechanics, and WEAPONS & ARMORS from The monsters itself. and every time my expectation is blown away by the evolution of weapons/armors design of each games. Last word, keep on Arekzz !. Great content !.
Can you do that custom change to armor though to change its appearance. Because I remember icebourne we were suppose to get all armors as a layered option and I haven’t seen it yet
Could you explain the steamworks?
Hey Arekkz, I know it wouldn't be optimal, but can you put this kind of augment to the high rank kulve weapons?
can i still unlock augments the old way? meaning it'll only augment "HR weapons"?, or now, is it only after beating icebourne? i need help with how to unlock augmenting.
is there a quest i have to do to unlock augment for iceborn? cus i can't seem to augment my weapons from IB
*QUESTIONS RELATED TO WEAPON AUGMENTATION:*
Im still in base game, so, If I augment a weapon and then buy Iceborne, and I upgrade the augmented weapon, ¿Do that weapon keeps the augment?
You cannot. Once the weapon has upgrades remaining you lose all augments.
@@idiocracy9020 thank you for answering the most important questions bout augmenting.
I dont give a fuck if we can augment them after icebonre I wanted to know why tier 8 weapons still had augment slots, assuming that they kept the augment when they got upgraded.
Capcom needs to explain shit better if they want to keep this large new fanbase they've accumulated from World
What level do you have to be to unlock augmenting
bruh, complete the story first
honestly, even if its not as big of a visual change as expected, its nice to know that those weapons get something extra that the unique looking ones dont
Or an easier way to even get tempered monsters and ED's.
The val hazak charge blade can get the odagaron look. I have mine currently custom upgrade lv4 with 2 element upgrades. I can go to 5 but I ran out of materials xd
Arekkz just pumpin out vids after vids OuO)b
I literally just forged the Consummate Katana (DevilJho Rarity 12 LS) and I wanted to know how many slots does it have. I haven’t unlocked all the Elder Dragons yet so I still a way to go before I’m at post-game
Where can I find a list of materials needed for health regen?
Are you gonna make a vid on pendants?
I'm at the guiding lands and have gathered all the bone and ore materials from all areas but i still don't have the option to augment weapons.. i'm MR 47 and HR 147, do i need to kill an Arch tempered monster or is there a MR rank i need to reach? special assignment i need to do ??
i need to see a video with weapon tree images and items to get maybe where or how to get them the best
I can't find the augmentation in the regular MHW anymore?
Does anyone know what material I need for cera cyclord defense increase 3? I have fierce dragonvein bone and slumbering greatbone but idk what monster material I need I have both namielle and tempered namielle material but it still says “???” So I guess that’s not it?
i personally think that there should have been a custom option to change the blade design
so the glavenus blaze has the blaze design, but if you could customize it to be the normal buster blade, i recon that would have been cooler
that way it is still a GLAVENUS weapon, y'kniw?
not a Pukie-Pukie weapon calling itself a Glavenus weapon
may i ask a question? if your previous weapon for ex.
Does anyone know which are the materials required for extra slot augmentation for rar 11 weapons? Not the decoration slot, the other one.
How to get extra slot 2 and 3 for rarity12 charge blade
What about previous augments from base game applied and then upgraded to master rank. Do they stay when you get to this end game augment system?
You get a full cash & material refund on base game augmented weapons when you upgrade them in Iceborne.
This is truly amazing.
When will we be able to have layered armor for all sets?
You wont. It is not in the game.
When you buy mh generation ultimate 😂
Wrong games
Thanks as always, this does however miss the info of what happened with our already upgraded weapons, like if i already had 3 health augments on a weapon, what is the state of that weapon when i start iceborne?
augments get removed when you upgrade a weapon, you do get the materials back though.
@@DonLopeAguirre Your augments will still be there when you start Iceborne, but they get removed if you upgrade a weapon to a MR level.
If it really had a limit of two custom upgrades then that would also be almost worthless because of how little you actually gain from them.
still doesn't show what happens when we try to custom upgrade a weapon that already has monster parts on it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, you cannot augment the acidic Glavenous CB right? I just finished the story, have the augment requirements but still nothing.
Lol
Elemental hammers now? Or raw still
Idk why, but with this content in Monster Hunter.
I don't think, if there will be another monster hunter game. This one has the package
So is this only for PlayStation because it doesn’t pop up for me on Xbox. And my weapon is rarity 11
Whats your build in this video? I need a good hammer build
Do you know a good acid shredder build I can use
Should i stop farming streamstones then?
Yeah, unfortunately. There's a new version of them after you complete the storyline boss.
I thought my headset was broken at the beginning
I really hoped that the Custom Augmentations would alter the weapon's appearance too. I say this because, for probably the umpteenth time, Namielle's s&s is visual trash. If it was one of the Iron Ore variants then i would have been ok.
I think you should just reupload this video. Aside from the muted givaway a lot of the info is wrong.
Kibido like what?
Does anyone knows how to upgrade zinogre weapon to 12grade? I spent already three days in the new area with endless grind, and have no idea where these ??? materials to take.
So could I put 6 elemental augments on each of my bows?
What happens to weapons augmented under the old system? Do you lose your augmentation once you upgrade that weapon to master rank?
Apparently you do, but you also get a refund on the materials you used
So... We don't need a Gleaming Streamstone and Monster Gem to Augment Health Regen?
Nope, just gotta farm some parts on the monsters at the new endgame
@@UmTalDeUmPH hmm I was farmed a lot of Nergi's Gem for Augment Weapon in Iceborne but there no need Nergi's Gem anymore for Augment Health Regen. Thank you for your information.
If you upgrade a weapon from high rank to master rank that was previously augmented do you get your stream stones back?
You get the streamstones, monster parts & zenny back. A full refund.
@@marvthereddevil5418 HOREEEE SHIIIIIIIIIITTTT!!! thanks for the heads up!
Can you check if the kelbi bow is in the game please
I’m sad they didn’t bring all returning monsters weapons same as in previous games
Did the augments always have levels like Attack Boost I? Could it be possible to raise those levels higher or something?
the current augmenting made it harder a bit. lets say that you have 4 augmeting slots. selecting the attack augmentation will occupy 3 of them. so you have to choose wisely between augmentations unlesss you have more than 4 or 5
I’ve seen people put stuff like Nargacuga essence on a weapon through augmentation. NOOOOO idea how they’ve done it, but then they get to have 3 Nargacuga and 3 Zorah for an absolute sticky chaos bomber. If anyone could tell me how you get that augmentation I’d name my first child after you
Wait. What happens with the augemtation I have already in finished weapons that are going to get an expansion to the weapon tree in iceborne? For example my diablos tyrannis 2 gets a 3 and then acidic Glavenus.
Your aug is gone.
@@Showy9Tails :/ damm, in the meantime I read how it exactly works. I'm more bummed out about the custom upgrades. Why should I throw a shitty looking Jyratodus custom upgrade on my weapons for better stats and make the great looking ones that aren't just iron or bone reskins look like iron or bone reskins. Doesn't compute.
A video on forging layered armor could be usefull
This video was incredibelly usefull, it's really cool to see how all of this works
Can someone help me? I just played MH again and im now MR 14 and HR 54. I havent unlock Augmentation from the HR49 Kirin mission. How do i unlock augmentation for Iceborne?
The YT subtitles tell me this is a video about MHW "Iceporn".
Can you stack high rank and master rank weapons
I have two fully upgraded hammers but I can't augment them
Give away info is muted
Oh you too, I thought it was my speaker that's broken.
I don't get it, if atk increase I takes up 3 slots how come i see ppl running around with "atk increase V"x3?
How does the glavenus gunlance look like? I hope they didn't change the look :(
Bone GLance with Glavenus scales stapled on it
