I solo'd Fatalis. I solo'd two Furious Rajangs. No armor spheres spent. I must have thousands piled up. Fuuuuuuuuuuu...

If you happen to be someone like me, who aims to craft every single armour piece at low, high and master ranks as well as every end of tree weapon; you probably won’t be upgrading every single thing you make (I haven’t, I’ve just been using and upgrading the defender sword and shield - Just hit Iceborne). I haven’t encountered augmentation yet (nor am I really sure what that is). For now, I plan to upgrade armour as I start using it (Likely skip upgrading the low and high rank armour).
It’s pronounced Bahzell-Juice. He’s named after the star Betelgeuse which is a supermassive red star on the brink of supernova. So yeah he’s named after one of the largest possible explosions in all creation
@ most monsters have names based on real things. Zorah Magdaros was named because Zorah is an Aramaic word for “Dawn” and Nergigante is based off Nergal, a pagan god of death and sunsets, as in the base game, Nergigante always follows Zorah. The sun rise is followed by the sun set.
I think there's no correct pronunciation of Betelgeuse. I've seen many astronomers pronounced it differently, sometime's they pronounce it as beh-tell-juice, some would pronounce it as beh-tell-geez, and some would pronounce it as beh-tell-goose.
Besy way to farm armor spheres is Farewell to Zinogre to get dragonvein ores. That will allow you to run the steam engine with the old drwarf guy for a very long time. I use tape to hold the R2 button and do something else. When I come back I have king armor spheres, etc and tons of gourmet vouchers

@ the way i see it unless you need it you might as well save them for endgame, saves you the hassle of farming for them
