I say this every time you do an English Challenge, but every time it remains true... You're doing an *AMAZING* job! I've been progressively trying to learn Japanese and I'm nowhere near the skill level you have in English. You could absolutely get by in America without many issues with what you already know! You should feel very proud of yourself Yuka-san. It seems like you have a gift when it comes to learning languages. 🙂
Thanks for the video! I heard of the story of 安藤百福 and instant ramen when visitng Cupnoodles Museum in Yokohama. Both instant ramen and cup noodles are great inventions

Yuka is killing it with the English, learning so fast! Inspired me a bit too to try Japanese and while the phonetic parts are clicking for me, having a hard time associating the Hiragana characters especially when some are so similar.
Ive been doing Nihongo on Duo for so long I've forgotten words I never learned. I remember some but get them wrong. Then I say I washed my wife for the car ;)

In studying Japanese I constantly worry about particles and still have yet to be able to complete a sentence beyond what's in study books. It's a fear of not sounding right or learning it wrong and fearing having it stick. Here Yuka has shown us her progress with English and isn't afraid of making any mistakes and just keeps going and clearly she's progressing more, and here I am stuck. This video really helped me not be so afraid of chopping up any grammar. If she's able to get this far (from her other rice making English challenge) she's only going to learn more and be better with her grammar. Thank you Yuka so much for the inspiration and motivation with these English speaking challenge videos.
As an English speaker, I must say how wondefull your English skills are at this time and are indeed continuing to improve. You have obviously put a lot of effort into learning English as a second language and even at this point I feel you could easily have a conversation with another English speaker.
