The one who sell in the streets are illegal vendors. That is why you rarely see vendors on the streets because it is prohibited. Streets are for people not for vendors. Only few certain areas that you can sell..not for all streets because it is illegal.
If you asking me or else what my favorite thing we tried today or someday !? Hopelly 😅 i would say...if you try me to do eat together you guys and spend a time for advertizing.etc blah blah..😅 .. Absolutely amazing!👍👏😅
I love how you guys are so considerate and constantly wear a mask. Most vloggers I watch here don't bother wearing one in indoor places and on public transport.
I always go there during Christmas season. Lots of discounted items for gifts, more food selections even in the early morning, and just more lively atmosphere. I am glad you had a blast there, too!
Hi. I'm happy to see you two enjoying touring in the Philippines. The crunchy bread you had was called Pilipit, a deep fried pastry coated in sugar and best paired with a strong coffee (in my opinion). Some will dip it in the coffee to soften it up. The lumpia you ate is called Lumpiang Sariwa, which literally means Fresh Spring Rolls and it usually contains vegetables and should be eaten with the peanut sauce. The adobo egg beside the pork asado has a tinge of color because it absorbed the adobo sauce it was cooked with (soy sauce), I guess. Calamansi is the local lime here in the Philippines. And lastly hopia is a great snack. It's a flaky pastry filled with various sweets, like beans, custard or some sweet fruits. Enjoy your stay :)
One of my favorite places in Manila. Wish I could be there to guide you through, but there isn't really a perfect route to the best gastronomic experience. You can make your own and that's what you did! 🥰 Binondo has a lot more to offer. You can always come back for a part 2 or 3. ☺ Good to see you guys enjoying your stay. Take care always! 🥰😍😘
Thank you so much!! We definitely tried our best on our own! I love this comment thank you! There was so many options you could definitely come back! 😁😁🙏🏻
Personal Favorites in Binondo 1. Dong Bei - Kutchay Dumpling *The best I had so far!! 2. Wai Ying - Honey Baked Rib Rice *A bit oily but meat is so soft and makes me eat more rice - Hakaw (Shrimp Dumpling) - Custard Bun *I can a lot of this - HK Milk Tea 3. Masuki - Asado Siopao *One of the best siopao I had 4. Quick Snack - Fresh lumpia
Another wonderful vlog..thank you for touring us inside the Binondo area Josie and Michael!.Keep up the good work!..enjoy always and keep safe all the times..
Thank you for featuring my hometown. I really miss this place. Specially the food items and the restaurants. Plenty of options and varieties. I'm craving right now to taste these foods again 😋
Lots of good food down there, thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Love watching your videos and I enjoy all of it. Your personality and accent is so adorable! Enjoy your stay, and be safe. More power to you and your channel. Keep them videos coming.
Yay. Tomorrow is Saturday. I'm Filipino and so happy and proud that you guys are showing to the world how amazing Philippines is. Salamat po:) forgot to mention we are now living in Melbourne:) ....
Nice to see u 2 touring the busy Binondo Area the lumpia sariwa is good if you dip it with sauce. The Chicken Mami is better than the beef wanton noodles and the first Twirl bread you try we call it pilipit very hard not nice to eat😁and the last round pastry u eat we call it Hopia..the best is the mung beans version the te pineapple. U forgot to try the Siopao the soft bread bun with meat fillings inside.
Rice is staple here… so meats and saucy dishes go well with rice in every spoonful. Wai Ying has good unique dimsum like Ham Soi Kuk. They also serve rice toppings. Next time try Causeway for dimsum.
If you go there on Sundays, then, many things situated along the streets such as fruits…dimsum…food…etc. During weekdays, there are certain areas that they don’t allow vendors selling along the streets…but still, you can still enjoy yr “food adventure” on weekdays.
Calamansi is a small citrus fruit grown almost everywhere in the Philippines. You can find them in some other parts of Southeast Asia and south of China and in Taiwan but not as abundant here😁 It's used to make a nice sour juice, mixed to many local food, cocktails, marinade, dips, etc. It's even used as beauty regimen to soften and lighten dark elbows, armpits and other parts of the body😊
Hello josie, … the first snack you eat is called twist cookie’s or pilipit in Tagalog… since I was there I keep buying that… I’m leaving now in Montreal Canada. You eat pilipit is like a tag of war… lol … enjoy eating in china town that place is my hang out… I used to live there close to china town…
New subscriber here! Love the way you vlog and you keep smiling and honest to everything. By the way, try eating the adobo dish or any dish with rice to balance the sweetness or the taste. Keep it up!
Must-try Filipino dishes: The most famous Chicken Adobo and Pork Lechon, Crispy Pata (pork), Sisig, Bulalo, Kare-kare, Fish head Sinigang, Pork Sinigang (usually Sinigang shocks non-Filipino tastebuds because of the tamarind taste in it but it's one of the Filipino's favorites and worth the try for a video content). And don't be afraid to be honest with your reactions. Snacks and street food: Isaw, Betamax, chicken legs, Balut (these are a bit exotic but makes you famous if you're up for the challenge 😂), Jollibee (chicken, spaghetti, mango pie) and Chowking Halo-halo. Again don't be afraid to provide honest comments about the food. Enjoy your stay in the Philippines. 🙂🙂🙂 Edit: Balut challenge as one single video content alone is interesting enough.
This comment is so detailed guide. I second this. Additional info on Street Food: Isaw = Chicken Intestines, Betamax = Grilled Chicken Blood, Chicken legs ( i think he meant Chicken Feet), Balut = Fertilized duck egg. Just be careful with this street foods as it is not tummy friendly to stomachs that are not used to it.
for authenthic lumpiang sariwa try globe lumpiang sariwa it just close to ongpin ask the people how to get to raon once in raon try asking how to get to Globe lumpiang sariwa you'll love it

u missed the 1919 grand cafe at juan luna, binondo it's an old bank made into a restaurant it has a charm and history to it and you'll enjoy their coffee and food too👍🏼
Tasty dumplings, surprisingly, is more known for their porkchop hehe. You can always ask the restaurants what their specialty or chef’s recommendations are. Sometimes I ask for their bestsellers but bestsellers can be subjective (to palate of Filipinos or what they’re familiar with) so I compare it first with their specialty (if they’re the same). Wai Ying, on the other hand, has very good dimsum haha. But Tasty dumplings also has good ones.
Hi po, I always watch your vlogs/videos and I loved them! I hope before you go back to Australia or in any other country, I hope you try "balut and penoy".It is one of the most famous food in the Philippines. Actually, it's an egg with a twist. Have a nice day! 💖
