It would be pretty interesting to also see your warmup😄
Yeah, that'd be really nice
Yes!!!!
Yess
well dang this is quite possibly the prettiest xc course I have ever seen! Couple of ‘oh crap’ moments but brilliantly ridden!!
Tryon area is stunning, trust me. Even the town movie theatre is a work of art-it’s not terribly far from me so I do go there sometimes over closer options because it’s also the only theatre that serves alcohol-and the entire town actually has life size painted horses dotting it.
I have to say, of all the x country courses I've seen, that one is the most "natural" from a purely aesthetic point of view. I'd love to just ramble all over the place with no one there.
I have to agree, so beautiful
Believe it or not, this was an Arnold Palmer designed golf course! Capt. Mark Phillips (UK) did the course design for this event. The turf held up well considering flooding rains just a couple days before.
@@shadrackzulu6138 Shout out to the Captain, then. It is a great course design. Those Brits love their table jumps. Yikes!!! The use of the water elements was really well done, too. Very unique!!
me too! It’s such a pretty courss
This course felt endless, and I couldn't believe it when you said at the end that you were going *slow* 😆
Looked VERY gruelling! Bloody good horse! Give him all the carrots!
I kind of thought she was cantering at the beginning.
He definitely seemed slower than sharpie lol made me nervous watching it felt like you weren’t getting over the jumps!
Bless him! Looks like there was some fairly heavy/deep going and he was already looking for his second wind by 6 minutes ... good heart your Lee
Holy crap! I think I counted 35 jumps with pretty long intervals in between. Beautiful course and pretty challenging to say the least. Water...amazing! Man, these horses have to be super athletic and YOU WERE TERRIFIC. Thanks so much!❤️
8:54 when she says "go buddy go!" he speeds up with a renewed confidence, it's so adorable! It looks like Lee really enjoyed that run.
Great job Elisa and Lee! Confusing track. I would get so lost! Lee just flew some of those jumps.
Yea it would be so nice!!
I evented for 10 years and when I would ride my horse I would ALWAYS talk to him during our ride. It sounds so silly but I teared up watching this because it reminded me of how much I miss riding. Thank you for sharing your ride so I can live vicariously through you.
Saw this on the livestream and he was phenomenal
This is the most beautiful XC course I've seen. I love the bridges. It's so natural. If I was riding this course while the sunset I would feel so free. I love the fact that there were jumps made from sails!
1:52 is what you came for...but the whole entire video is truly impressive! Well done Elisa
I am an ex hunter/jumper rider. No my focus is working with the "difficult" and cast off horses (I work Classically and with Positive Reinforcement.) and paring the horses with the chronically ill. Never, in my career have I ever had the courage to ride a cross country course. My best friend used to compete in Three Day with her little event horse that could jump the moon. It is fun to "ride" along with you and I truly appreciate how you talk to your horses along the course.
I love her because she is so confident towards the jumps
Love how he goes straight for the treat bag right when he gets back to the stall. Lol
You're the coolest horse ever. It's the most beautiful and the best horse I've ever seen in my life 👍 I've never seen anyone this good at horseback riding. I became your fan.😍
Such a gorgeous course 😍 Lee is such a gentleman, very very forgiving and gives his all! You're very lucky ❤
2:22
It’s cool to watch Lee’s shadow as he jumped over these next three jumps!
Thanks again for taking us along for the ride! Exhilarating! That is such a beautiful course. Weird lighting again for you, you don't mention it much but I'd imagine it would take a lot of adjustment. You are the best! 😊💓🇺🇸
I was counting all the distances and you got that all almost perfect! This is amazing, I envy your amazing riding and your horsemanship! Good work, both of you!
what an awesome run! also what's the deal with those random little shrubs all planted over the grounds haha
They are placed there to mark sprinkler covers (this was formerly a golf course).
@@shadrackzulu6138 oooh that makes sense, thanks!
Tryon is definitely one of my favorite places to ride
Loved the shadow and the exciting feeling I was feeling great job.
Whew! I'm exhausted! That was fabulous...
Well done Elisa! So proud of you and Lee
Whew! Some course. Great job, hope you placed...Cheers Lee and Elisa! ❣️🍀
I use your videos to practice judging my distance!!! You and Lee lee are amazing
the shadows of Lee were hilarious at certain points
That venue is super neat looking. Great round!
okay but those houses in the back were NICE
I love these types of videos.
Beautiful Morning ride
It must be nice to live in those houses and walk out of your front door and just see horses jumping fences
The spreads on these fences though 😱😨😳😬
This is such a beautiful course!
What a beautiful course
I loved this course but man! It was a lot! I was feeling exhaustion for Lee!
I really like this track! Very pretty.
That water drop really pissed me off😂
This is how many people love the sound of hooves beating rhythmically
👇
Hi Elisa , I just wanted to ask if you could educate me on how to teach the spanish walk , and if you could do a "all my horses" video and give us a little bit of background on them , that would also be awesome
Love you so much and you are such an inspiration to everyone , equestrian or not ❤❤❤
hi! I believe you start with tapping behind the horses front leg with a whip, and take it away when they pick up or move at all the leg. do it with both legs, slowly. start being more picky with how high they put their leg and once they understand the que and they do it when you tap their leg ask them to move forward when they lift up their leg. after that I would imagine you add in a verbal command such as 'walk' or 'step' hope this helps!
@@graceconnolly5765 Thank you so so much ❤
You can also use treats as positive reinforcement.
@@ronelbuitendag2952 oh, another thing I forgot to mention, start next to a wall or solid object to make sure they dont think you are asking them to move sideways
If you teach it with a clicker its really easy. Tap the horse on the back of one front leg and click as soon as they show the intention to lift it. Make them do it on both legs and reward every little step. I personally then switch the whip to the front of the leg and reward if they touch it with the leg so you can train the hight of the step quite easily and its much simpler to handle in motion. And you reward every little step forward, even if its not intentional. Personally i like the clicker because i can reward the exact moment they do something right and they really start to think and experiment. Personally i found it easier to train the step forward before i trained the hight, it may also take a bit of building up for the muscle. Thats what worked best for me and the horses get really into it
You and him are so good at cross country i could be wrong not for sure but anyway you guys have such i special bond💞😂
🤩💙 Bravo! Very nice and accurate ride lady!! Mr. Leland, those big boy shoes fit you so well!! Proud of ya buddy! 🤩💙
Y'all are amazing 👏 💕 🐎❤🔥
As others have said, beautiful course but a very challenging one indeed and the ground was not ideal. Those bridges looked so fun to ride over though, and I did enjoy the way the course flowed for the most part.
I would be puffing hard after that, felt like an absolute marathon 😅
I wish i would have known you were finally coming to Tryon i would love to have seen them in person. Did Johnny come too?
he did!
Can't wait to see the video
I watched the 4* long did he do the short or 3*. Unless i totally missed it
@@hollyhoney6664 He did the 4*S but retired during XC (don't know why yet, it was run the day after the 2/3/4*L and they don't have any video livestream coverage for the 4*S on the Tryon website). He was in 10th place after SJ.
This is it. THIS is the dream.
I thought it was Johnny at first then realized it was Lee 😂
That's a long ride back to to the stables
If you missed the live stream, Tryon still has them posted (11/23/20) at : tryon.com/category/live_streams . They have the CCI 2*L/4*L and 3*L (in that order) on the XC coverage. Elisa's Dad did the commentary for the 2*L and 3*L.
If I wasn't so busy with college and had more time to train my horse over jumps + if I wasn't so uneasy about his arthritis and pushing him too hard, I would do this. He would do flawlessly, I bet. Though we would have to work on spooking.
What a pretty course
Them houses tho🤩
Your videos are so great and I hope I can do eventing someday
Just go for it , work for it and you'll get there ❤ I believe in you
@@ronelbuitendag2952 omg thanks. That means a lot
@@haileydragon123 You are going to kick ass 💪❤ go do it , I know you can
@@ronelbuitendag2952 Thanks so much 🥺
I really want to try xc it looks really fun!
I love your videos
The shadow😂
Looks like so much fun
Обожаю подобные видосы 😍
hi! I love watching your videos they are so interesting and fun to watch, how often do you go to shows?
5000 likes and I get horse , the equestrians got me + love this video!
You must be incredibly fit!
is saw the video before 5 min in TikTok HAHAHA
Very interesting watching this from the UK, the going looked pretty good in most places, as some of our cross country courses can get very wet and thus deep. Did you guys have studs in?
Does anyone know of an eventing barn in British Columbia? I’ve been really interested but can’t seem to find one!
It's dangerous see this videos in VR while riding?
Lee doesn't like the boggy going. Interesting. In NZ we race our thoroughbreds on grass so at times the tracks are slow and boggy and thoroughbreds either prefer a fast dry track or a slow one or both depending on their galloping style. I suspect Lee would have been the type of racehorse who hated a slow wet track.
Yous did a great job but he seemed to be off his game a bit?
question, when ur doing all these jumps, did u already know you were going to do those jumps beforehand or is it just random?
early! does anyone know when i can find the scores from tryon?
They are still on EventEntries website under past events or the Tryon website (Tryon/eventing). The Tryon site also has the xc maps and program still posted.
@@shadrackzulu6138 thanks! most events i do use startbox scoring and i don’t see it on there
@@larkynhendren9854 No problem. EventEntries : evententries.com/#LiveScores .
I miss riding, because of corona I haven’t been able to ride as often
Good job❤️
You amazing!
I love to jump but don't know much about eventing. Why does your watch (I think it is) beep like that?
she has set minute markers when walking the course so she knows where she wants to be when it beeps, it helps her keep track of time and how fast she needs to be going in order to not get any time penalties. I hope this makes sense, if not www.caroline-moore.com/top-tips/the-use-of-stop-watches-on-the-xc-phase/
Bro jumped on the jump
Hey please answer!! What is your camera? Is it a go pro?
Uhhh that's soo awesome.
Você é muito legal Nossa esses vídeos faltas
So much water omg
tell me what is this country?
I watched the livestream to watch your rides. Where's the part where you jumped into water, nearly dumped out of tack but did your best "Rick Wallace" recovery!, jumped out of water but then had 2 run outs, put your hand up indicating retiring?? Then it appeared that you continued on course.
Did she miss one at 3:49 ?
No. Or else I would’ve been pulled up and eliminated.
@@WallaceEventing thanks for the reply! I don't know much about cross country lol
What does your watch beeping mean?
They're minute markers. It's so she knows if she needs to speed up or not to avoid time penilties.
was anyone else worried that the gopro would hit the bottom of the bridge ahah
I do cross country
he was good boy :D
first!
woah someone who’s actually first saying they’re first😧
