Love this! Almost everything you mention is a must have for work life for me; loft tops are everything, staple clothing items that mix and match well, essential oils! Another office must is plants for me (No light friendly plants) they just make it feel so much brighter in there. I also have a small salt lamp on my desk and I have a similar pair of digital protection glasses I bought off Amazon, love them! I have noticed a huge decrease in the number of headaches I've had. A final must is a favorite coffee mug in my snack drawer (also take mine very seriously!)
I couldn't agree more about audiobooks! I commute on the subway in NYC and a lot of time you can't get a seat and can't pull out a book so audiobooks are fantastic for commuting, walking around the city and at my desk! And podcasts are great too!

Im a medical practitioner and I would say my essentials are: water, a good not-skipping pen, my agenda, and I like to have my office with at least a plant, they cheer me up! Hi Ashley! I've been using Edens Garden EO for over two years and I'm very impressed with the quality. My favorites are their cleaning blend, which I use in a spray bottle in the kitchen, cedar wood and camphor oils which I use in my closet on sachets, and their lavender, peppermint, and sweet orange oils which I use in the diffuser. They also have a "thieves" style blend that I dilute in avocado oil and use topically on cuts and scratches. They are so affordable, but the quality is excellent.
So many of these items just went on my Christmas list (both as wants and as gift ideas)! I love my Plantronics Back Beat Sense headphones. Their best feature is that they pause your music/book/podcast when you take them off your ears so if a coworker walks by to ask a question I don't need to fumble with my phone or laptop to pause.
While commuting the things I keep with myself are : (and keep in mind that I use public transportation and sometimes stand while travelling for up to 1,5h in Serbia) wallet, keys, phone, hand cream, umbrella when needed, tissues, external phone battery, usb and cotton bag for groceries when I commute back to home. For me it's important to keep things as light as possible. ^^
I'm a nurse, although we have portable computers to chart, were mostly on our feet for the 12 hours. I am a professor- but first I am a mom. I make everyone breakfast and dinner so I don't really have freedom with those meals because I have to consider everyone else's taste. For work I have a bunch of different work/mom bags I rotate through, and I'm currently using my Lo & Sons OMG bag, which took a while to break in. But the bags that work the best for me are by Ju-Ju-Be, which technically is a diaper bag company, but their bags have so much storage and organization that they're great as workbags; they also come in great print options. And then I'm always cold at work so I keep a Nordstrom-brand pashmina at my desk (it's a great Christmas gift to ask for) and it keeps me warm when the AC is turned up too high. They're also great for airplane rides and movie theaters. Lastly, I had to stop using earbuds because coworkers could never see that I was plugged in and would come up and talk to me all the time, not realizing I couldn't hear them. (I work in a newsroom - so open-floor plan, super loud and distracting.) Thankfully, my husband works for an audio company, so I have an awesome pair of JBL deejay headphones that are gigantic - like Princess-Leia-bun-gigantic. And then he just got me a pair of more streamlined, super chic wireless Harman headphones that I'd never be able to afford on my own. The sound-quality of both brands beats Beats by Dre (not that I'm biased).

Have you tried the overdrive app? I don't know how many libraries are on there, but it is a free app that you sign into your library just using your library card and pin. you can borrow audio books and e-books. When it is due and can't be renewed anymore no need to worry about returning it on time since it will just be removed from your app. I've gotten through a lot that way for free.

Eden's Garden is my go-to brand of EOs! I started off with Young Living oils, but fell off the wagon as I was in college at the time and couldn't afford the hefty price tag. Eden's Garden has been a god send! The purity, quality, and customer service of Eden's Garden is on par with Young Living. I don't take EOs internally, as I don't think that's wise, so I can't speak to any differences I noticed there. From my experience diffusing and using them topically, however, I say try them out! My work essentials are my Longchamp Large Le Pliage, my Inkwell Press planner, a tube of Weleda skin food, and lots of snacks. :) I definitely have my eye on a Dagne Dover mini tote, though!

Love using essential oils! But I did have a couple coworkers who were sensitive :/ anyways you gotta check out BC Essentials out of Newburyport Ma. Her stuff is amazing!!! I've never smelled better oil combos. She has one called "escape" that is so lovely. It's a vanilla lavender scent. Also one called "Autumn" and "cinfully vanilla" which are great picks for fall/winter!! You won't be sorry you checked this local (to me) company out ;)
I'm not working at the moment since I'm a fulltime student, so this i'snt really a work essential i guess. But anyway! My noise canceling headphones. I use Bose quiet comfort 25 (I think I got the name right), but I'm sure there are other good ones to. They are a great help if you find it hard to work in noisy invironments.

Have you tried the overdrive app? I don't know how many libraries are on there, but it is a free app that you sign into your library just using your library card and pin. you can borrow audio books and e-books. When it is due and can't be renewed anymore no need to worry about returning it on time since it will just be removed from your app. I've gotten through a lot that way for free.

Julie Quates have you ever used DoTerra? Do they smell similar? I've only used DoTerra & a store brand that smelled awful. If I could find something that smelled as pure but was a bit cheaper I would love that.

Eden's Garden is my go-to brand of EOs! I started off with Young Living oils, but fell off the wagon as I was in college at the time and couldn't afford the hefty price tag. Eden's Garden has been a god send! The purity, quality, and customer service of Eden's Garden is on par with Young Living. I don't take EOs internally, as I don't think that's wise, so I can't speak to any differences I noticed there. From my experience diffusing and using them topically, however, I say try them out!
My work essentials are my Longchamp Large Le Pliage, my Inkwell Press planner, a tube of Weleda skin food, and lots of snacks. :) I definitely have my eye on a Dagne Dover mini tote, though!

My office essential is lotion! I always have hand lotion at my desk because it gets chilly at work and I cannot stand it when my hands are dry. It's also nice to give myself a hand massage after all the typing that I do.

Love using essential oils! But I did have a couple coworkers who were sensitive :/ anyways you gotta check out BC Essentials out of Newburyport Ma. Her stuff is amazing!!! I've never smelled better oil combos. She has one called "escape" that is so lovely. It's a vanilla lavender scent. Also one called "Autumn" and "cinfully vanilla" which are great picks for fall/winter!! You won't be sorry you checked this local (to me) company out ;)

I'm not working at the moment since I'm a fulltime student, so this i'snt really a work essential i guess. But anyway! My noise canceling headphones. I use Bose quiet comfort 25 (I think I got the name right), but I'm sure there are other good ones to. They are a great help if you find it hard to work in noisy invironments.

Since I'm an educator my work essentials aren't too crazy. In my bag I have my personal sized planner, bag for planner essentials, make up bag, bag for my feminine hygiene products, and snacks such as granola bars, fruit bars, dry roasted almonds...😌

Those shoes! Need them. :) I'm in grad school right now, but my commute/work/school essential is definitely my Swell water bottle. I originally got it because it was cute (let's be honest), but it stays cold all day and I've never had a water bottle do that before.

Oh my goodness when I heard you say you're looking into Eden's Garden I got super excited! I absolutely love them! I personally like them better than doterra and young living. I also really enjoy that the company is owned and ran by women in the US.
