    Also, no, I do not have a weird skin rash...just an amateur trying to apply sunless tanner. I didn't notice until I went to edit this video, and I cursed myself for trying to add a little color to my limbs before I leave on vacation. I went to town with my exfoliating cloth and invested in a mitt, so hopefully the next application will be better. 😂

    I remember the video you did about the "work uniform", and my husband and I both utilize this method since then, and honestly it's such a time saver! We pick from our 5 outfits, and go. I will usually have a casual Friday, but I kind of have a few rotating outfits for that as well. I wear a piece until it is kind of worn out, then replace it. Saves money, saves time, great idea!

    I loved your other work bag video so I’m really excited to see an update! I have 2 essentials. 1) My Apple air pods. I work in one of those open concept offices with no cubes which can be really distracting and noisy so I listen to music or a podcast all day long. But the thing I love about them so much is they pause your music or podcast when you take one out of your ear so when someone talks to me I can easily take one out and not miss any of my podcast. 2) Snacks. I love going to Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s or wherever and picking an interesting snack to try as something to look forward to during my day.

      Yes! even the .7mm are super nice and you can buy refills for them as well. It's a pricier pen but I find that it lasts a while and it never dries out.

    Those grids are great! I got one to put in my hospital bag before I gave birth to my daughter to hold my makeup so I didn’t have to rifle through even a small makeup bag. It was great!

    Headphones, Spotify, Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Orange gummies, and a face mist. I have super watery allergy eyes and a water mist is essential for me to refresh my eyes and also clean around them during the day. I love the Pentel Entergel pens. I'm a leftie and they dry super fast, but still crisp fine points.

    I love all things organization related, so your work and planning videos are some of my favorites. I would love to see a home office tour and/or more tips on how you organize. Also, what are you using to display your essential oils?? It looks like it slightly tips the bottles so they don’t fall out. I found Eden’s Garden through you and have a whole slew of them now (love, love, love the Good Night blend). I would love to actually have them out on my desk... Thank you for your fantastic videos!

    You got me hooked on those Pilot Juice pens! Also discovered Saje essential oils this summer and I LOVE peppermint halo. I'd be so interested to see what's in your current planner, I've always enjoyed your plan with me videos. All your videos, really! 😄 I'm not sure what gets me through the day, but I do have my eye on some Valhrona chocolate bars they've been displaying at my Trader Joe's checkout...

    I would love to hear more about how you organize digital clutter! I just got the new Macbook too (hello dongles!) and I'm trying to keep it as clean as possible too so I'm wondering what type of files/clips you keep on Google drive versus your hard drive. Great video as always!

    "Aspirational tea bags" hahaha! I know that life! I always have a nice selection of tea in my purse or suitcase but inevitably reach for coffee every time.
    Great point about the unconscious mental stress of reading online articles and deciding whether or not to read follow-up or related links. Sometimes I do feel that pressure to keep reading and reading, and next thing I know, I don't even recall the original article I read.
    I work at home, so the one thing that really helps on my desk is to keep separate pads for life tasks vs work tasks. That way the line doesn't get blurred and I can concentrate on one without feeling the pressure of the other.

    • @makeupTIA
      @makeupTIA  6 років тому +1

      Love the tip about the two separate pads for life and work! I have one giant "inbox," but then like to separate things out between the two.
      Also, on my list of things to buy at the grocery store today is parsley tea because I read it was good for women. Who knows if I'll actually drink it, though. 😂(joking, hopefully!)

    I feel partly responsible for the hyperlinks that are in online stories that you mentioned. I’m a digital editor at a magazine and those in-story links improve a post’s SEO score, so we’re encouraged to add as many as it makes editorial sense. I never thought they cause readers to make micro-decisions, but I totally see why they do. Something to think about! 🤔
    As for the work bag item I can’t live without, it’s my cord tacos. I never thought they’d be as useful as they’ve turned out to be. I have the grid organizer as well, but the cord tacos keep my earbuds organized in all my various places where I keep them (purse, car, etc.), plus they don’t take up a lot of space. Great video!

    I purchased 2 Dagne Dover totes (black and taupe) after seeing your first video and mine have lasted also, except the taupe (or stone color) one started leaning over and got mis-shaped. I contacted Dagne Dover and they said there wasn't a warranty on them (I only had it for a few months at the time). The only advice they had for me was to store it from a hangar instead of leaving on a flat surface. The black one is fine. After spending so much on the 2 bags, I wouldn't recommend them.

    Love seeing your smiling face, Ashley. Thanks for sharing an updated work bag video! What are your thoughts on David Allen vs Inkwell Press planning systems?

    • @makeupTIA
      @makeupTIA  6 років тому

      Hi, Lauren! David's method to me is really an ideology that you can use with whatever planning system you like. He even has a PDF for sale on how to incorporate the GTD Method with a paper planner. Right now I'm trying to simplify the number of inboxes I have. The app Todoist is helping with that, but I think I'll always need some kind of paper planner in my life. I feel weird without it. : ))

      @ByAnnaRaya 6 років тому

      I feel the same way about my Dagne bag. It’s too heavy, for me even empty, so by the time I’ve put all my stuff in it it’s unbearable, and I have about the same amount of things I put in it as Ashley. Plus, I think the zipper is hard to work around. I like my bag in principle, but I don’t often reach for it.

    • @BeautifulDreamerK
      @BeautifulDreamerK 6 років тому

      I couldn’t agree more. I thought I was the only one. I also have the classic. Once I add my MacBook (only 2 lbs), the bag is very heavy. I also find that there’s so little room in between the compartments. I have a small pouch with my Advil, travel size cream, hand sanitizer and it makes the bag more bulky, thus losing its shape. The idea of it with the organizational compartments is great but the execution is poor. The bag is very heavy :/
