How to Easily Convert Mp4 to Mp3 Using Audacity

In this video, I'll show you how to easily convert Mp4 to Mp3 using Audacity.
Audacity is a free, open-source audio editing application that's available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
When you install Audacity, it cannot open Mp4 files but when you add the FFMpeg Library, this enables Audacity to be able to read video files and other audio file formats like M4a.
This tutorial will walk you through installing FFmpeg Libraries in Audacity and converting our Mp4 file to Mp3.

David, I have a Mac and I am trying to get to preferences to add FFmeg library in Audacity but when I go up to file, click new, then go to edit, preferences it's not there. I can't find preferences anywhere. Why can't I find it?

David.....how do I know if FFmeg download properly? It looks like it did. I saw it download in the little box at the top right on my computer, but when I went to open a MP4 into Audacity a box came up saying: " Error Importing Without the optional FFmeg library, Audacity cannot open this type of file ". Getting totally frustrated!! What did I do wrong?

No, you won't. UA-cam doesn't support upload of audio files. Only video files.
