I could not believe this Video showed up on my home page! As a kid, my Dad would take the whole family camping for a couple of weeks to "Kings Canyon". This was back in the 1960's. I met the woman I would marry Saterday Aug. the 5th 1964 in "Kings Canyon". She was 14 and I was 11. We now live on the "Big Island of Hawaii" I moved here in 2017 and She was already here. We married on Saterday, Aug. the 5th 2017 53 years after we met! WE loved the video!! And it is good to hear that the Bears are still around! But there have been many changes since we were kids. We want to thank you for the tour of our old stomping grounds, With the times the they are, We know wewill not return. We have seen other Videos and yours is great!! On The "Moro Rock Trail", Were the any "Marmouts" out... As a kid, my Wife and her Family would purchase grain from the Rangers to feed them? Aloha! Tom and Sue
Sequoia is slowly starting to become my favorite park in California. Everytime I’m like I’ve seen enough of it I see videos like these that quickly change my mind I gotta go one more time !
Just completed 4 nights at Lodge Pole Campground just 5 minutes from the general grant tree trail. Thus National forest is amazing and my kids loved the hikes. Recommended for sure
So glad I found this video. You have such a wonderful spirit. Very enJOYable to watch & listen to your take on Appreciating this beautiful world. My wife & I visited SNP/KC 6 yrs ago: A bucket list 30yr anniversary trip from our home ~ Michigan. I have muscular dystrophy so we stuck to flat surface 'trails'. I use an electric wheelchair. So nice that they have a lot of ADA available nature walks. We are now planning a trip for 2024 to take our grown children and their families. They MUST see these unbelievable majestic trees. If anyone has advice for this 2nd trip; I'll listen. The 7 others in this party are able to hike 😊 [we will stay in a home in '3 Rivers' area]. Best Wishes!
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and share some kind words 🙏 honestly this is why I do what I do 🙏 to not only inspire others but to hear everyone’s story and love for nature 🙌 and I agree it’s awesome that they have ADA nature walks and they continue to make trails more accessible for everyone to enjoy. Sounds like the perfect trip for 2024! Wish you all safe travels and blessings to you and you’re entire family! Thank you for watching and supporting 🙏
I checked out a few vids before stumbling onto yours. Yours is by far the best. Others may have drones for editing or whatever, but i didn’t see them have what you have here: basically, I like how you thoughtfully gave almost, step by step instructions on what you did/ how you’re doing things- cuz it makes people like me, a guy who’s never gone camping before, want to go camping there this week! And your “how I did it” style makes it less scary for me to think I am not planning things correctly and makes it feel like, “yes I can actually do this.” Which I believe is what a lot of people are truly looking for when searching for a vid on how to do things. Not just watch someone else’s vid with edited reels/stunning still frames- I can just google image that. A lot of those vids are: This is where I went, here are my pics, thanks for watching. I’m left thinking, great but I would’ve liked to have seen how you did it, so I can actually do it too lol. After your vid, I said “I wanna be like this guy.” Truly inspiring. I’m promising myself that going solo camping this week! Just my 2 cents: it would be great if you included little things like: cost of campground if any, or the site where you made your reservation, do I need to make any gas station considerations etc. maybe I’m just asking for too much here, but I believe you know what I mean :) keep up the inspiring work!
Bro I really appreciate your response and you taking the time to share your thoughts 🙏 this has truly been my goal with this channel, to show people if I can do it so can you 🙌 camping doesn’t have to be so hard and scary, and I want to share my experience and what has worked for me. And I will definitely make sure to include the other info like cost etc, maybe if I forget I can at least include it in the description of the videos to start. Thanks again for watching and hope you are able to camp and create some amazing memories yourself too 🙌
Thanks bro! And awesome! About the bear lol just make sure to use the bear vault. Perfect place to spend a bday 🙌 did you make a reservation already? Thanks for watching and safe travels 🙌
