AS a die-hard fan of the greatest balladeer who graced this earth, Luke Kelly, I have to say that your man here is a vocalist as good as the finest himself. No greater accolade can ever be bestowed upon a mortal. Absolutely love this, I close my eyes and rewind some 40 years.
Just to add... I believe Traditional Irish music is in safe hands with you lads. All the greats are now gone - Lukey, Barney, Ronnie, Ciaran, the Clancy brothers. Without you, we'd be left with choreographed crap like the High Kings.
A newfie lad here in Canada listening to these guys..and i think luke kelly is alive and well..this guy sousnds remarkably so like luke himself. Slan go foille
Great to see the younger generation singing these songs, great performance by the lads. My dad work in Cricklewood in the 60s, he went to London after been in the Congo.
I'm an American of mostly Scottish, and Irish, descent. I was raised by my Grandmother Ervin who was born in 1912. She was from Kentucky, and raised me on bluegrass. Irish folk music reminds of bluegrass, and my grandmother. The roots of bluegrass are here, and alive and well thanks to lads like these. Unbroken chain. Slainte kindred.
serious, and best young natural ballad voice I've heard on here or live, this is the arrangement style bar none. well done and delighted I've come across ye
That is not the voice I expected, I gotta say, WOW, Simply amazing!! I don't like to compare singers because if ya do, there's someone who won't agree and jump all over the comments. I will say this........................other than the Dubliners Ronnie Drew and Luke Kelly, this is the best or closest to them singing that I've heard this song being played or sang. Great band lads and I hope you keep it going. Everything gets better with age :) Thanks for keeping traditional music alive and well
It's been almost seven years. Please Guys! Make a propper Version of this song. It's one of my favorite Songs and I always listen tot the Dubliner's version when I have to work all alone at the basmaent in Friday evenings when everybody else has left. It wold be such a plesure blasting your song throgh the hallways, all alone in the factory.
My father and his brothers all came over to london in the sixties. And no where is their a statue erected to paddy for rebuilding the post war infrastructure of Britain
I'd like to add that the iconic McAlpine Fusiliers is as much English as Irish.I worked for Alfred Mc & met many Irish on site.Hard workers in the cold but great crack & friendlines.
Absolutely great music. Glad to find pieces of wonderful irish music as these are played by people of my generation, haha! It's just impressive :) Thanks for bringing such a great work to UA-cam, lads!!! P.D: Just a thing of a fan. I would like to hear you performing Come Out Ye Black & Tans. If it isn't too much could you try some day??? My more sincere congrats to ye, artists ;-) Greetings from Spain!!! Slán go fóill!
God bless yaz. First time listening to your music. Touch of Luke Kelly whom ever was singing. I’m watching on my phone and don’t have my glasses. Keep it up boys. Signed. Another Tim in California who misses home. Actually, I’ll search to see if you have come home paddy Reilly to ballyjamesduff. If not, do you take requests. Bravo gentlemen bravo
