Rowen Starchild I'm not sure why you say he is a fraud but I can personally tell you that when I use his techniques I get many more compliments on my looks....
Rowen Starchild “A fraud” solely because you’re pissed WG has so many followers and offers lovely makeup tips. Unless you wear makeup, dear, take a seat. Can smell your jealousy a mile away.
damn I just came here thinking of commenting EXACTLY the same thing. I always end up skipping more than a minute of other bloggers cause in the beggining they keep asking you to follow them in every single social media. annoying. I love how he's straight to the point, his videos are very short yet full of information. Makes me watch every second of it, some other people I keep skipping the blablabla.
Wayne u manage to Crack me up with your humor everytime I watch a video..trying this technique in the morning bc I have a early start and looks simple with just a few shadows and some blending. ..I love shimmers and can't wait to see the look...thanks for the tips as always...you rock!
Everytime I watch your videos I get so inspired to do my eyes. #EVERYTIME. I also RESPECT the fact that you do not take 30-60 mins to get to the point. #EASYBREEZY. ;-"
I really appreciate the make-up tutorials you do. Of all of the tutorials on here you make them doable without feeling like I need a degree in art to do it effectively. growing up The women in my family really didn't wear make up except on very special occasions (funerals, weddings..) so I never had a teacher in that aspect. Growing up in the 80's probably didn't help matters either. Thank you.
Thank you, Mr. Goss, for this vlog. I am 55 and wanted to know how to make small green eyes appear larger. This was a success! I always watch and listen intently to your videos....I retain the knowledge.....then pass it on to others, along with your vlog sight info. You've made a difference in people's lives. Thank you for that. 😊 Stay true and positive 🙌
Thank you for this tutorial! I've been doing my eyes this way all week & have gotten so, so many compliments from friends, family & even total strangers- asking me what kind of makeup I use, etc. I've tried it with several brands and several color combos & it's the TECHNIQUE that makes the eyes look so big, awake and vibrant. I tell people that it isn't the makeup, itself, it is the technique & to watch this video when they ask about my eye makeup. Thanks again! Oh, and I must tell you, I've always had rather large eyes, but now being in my mid thirties, they just don't look as big anymore....well.... until I watched this and started doing my eyes like this! I feel like I look 10 years younger, seriously! Ao, a million thank you's. I like that your videos are classy, as well. There isn't any ear stabbing ghetto music or techno blaring over your voice, no cursing and your tutorials are just so professional- thank you for keeping things classy. So over the young "makeup artists" that just make the videos to make themselves appear as cool & sexy as possible, when in reality they just come off trashy& totally immature & obviously not professional. Keep up the good work Mr Goss!!! 👏🏻👍🏻
I love your eye looks. I have weird eyes (downturned, but my lower lash line turns up dramatically before the corner) with serious hoods toward the outside of the eye, yet every eye technique you have shown makes my eyes look amazing. You are the only makeup artist who is doing tutorials that work for anyone and don't take hours to complete. Keep it coming, Wayne. You are awesome!
Thank you so much Wayne, if I may call you Wayne.. My name is Julissa I will be 49 this year, and I have to tell you, how refreshing, and kind it is of you to share your knowledge. It has helped me tremendously!!!! You have helped me finally get the answers to questions I’ve had for YEARS!!! Sharing is caring, thank you!
This DOES open your eye so much. I right now can't do this because I of lack of brushes & it'd be harder with hooded eyes, but it looks amazing on him at the end of the video. I'm really impressed.
Ah, that line about the mascara. I don't know whether I'm watching your videos for the makeup tips or for the humor at this point...LOL...you're hilarious x
Don’t know what I would do without your tips!! I never wore makeup when I was younger now that I’m almost 40 I’ve been getting into it. Alas, I had no clue what I was doing, I’m still no pro but am getting better thanks to your videos. Especially since you give great tips for people who have some lines and are getting older it’s hard to find that on UA-cam. Thanks Wayne!!!!
Thanks for this Wayne. I was just wondering if you could do a simple office look for girls in their twenties if you have time. Thanks so much. Your videos inspired me to really learn how to do makeup. Life-changing.
Yes I absolutely love using #20 to make that connection, that's what I love about #TheEyeSet-I can apply and go ahead and blend, clean brush, beautifully as you go, to soften out the edges, and then go and and take it outwards(and that is the game changer, and I can do it flawlessly with 16-20) I love a matte in the crease as well. Thank you for sharing that gorgeous technique. Thank you for the Skindinavia darling-just purchased, so excited to try it. I enjoy spending time with your new gorgeous Face Set brushes-and I want that smooth, lovely finish to last-and not just remove any powder residue on the skin! xoxo I know, I know I can't stop talking about the brushes, I keep sharing the #fallinlove. And yes, in re all the comments below, Wayne is absolutely so genuine-he has a beautiful and kind heart. So generous with his time, generous in heart and spirit. @waynegoss
Oh I love this, it reminded me of everything my mother taught me when I'd watch her apply her eye makeup. No nonsense, over-dramatised, instagramised routine!!
You're the first beauty guru i've ever watched and I've learned and still learning a lot from you. Thank you so much for all your tutorials and opinions. Please don't ever stop!
Wayne, I just discovered you, and have been watching you for hours. You are my favorite beauty guru now. You give the best demos. You obviously know what you are doing, and are not here to sell product. I love your honesty. Plus, your lovely British accent and soothing voice, along with being quite handsome, make you easy to watch. I must admit that I have a crush on you now.
I'm not Wayne but I'm no kid and here are some tips. Use cream eye shadows instead of powders (easier to find online than in-store). Also, no patent leather eyeliner - on the upper lid, use a good eyeliner pencil like Clinique Quickliner for Eyes (you can get a darker, more even lash line by making dots to form a line rather than pulling the liner across your lid). On the lower waterline, use whatever form of eyeliner that you can tolerate, but no patent leather liquid or glossy ink liner. If your inner eyelid is easily irritated by liner in the waterline, either make a line of dots in the lower lash line with an eyeliner pencil, or get a very small brush and use dark colored cream eye shadow as eyeliner.
There are so many powders, concealers and skin textures that I cannot answer that question with a "yes" or "no." A person well under sixty may decide to use cream foundation with little or no concealer or powder if her skin texture is very uneven. A person well over sixty might have some lines and wrinkles, but apart from that, have a finer skin texture and still benefit from the right concealer and a good loose powder. Generally, one should use only products that are kind to the skin, so if you find that you cannot maintain healthy skin (at any age) while using a product or if you find it impossible to use concealer and powder to create even skin tone and color, changes are in order and those changes may include giving up both concealer and powder. If someone has dry skin before the age of fifty and it just continually gets drier, avoiding ingredients such as alcohol, high concentrations of talc and aluminum compounds in cosmetics would be sensible, and this practically eliminates most drugstore concealers and powders. Hope this helps.
"...blend the buggery out of it", you Mr.Goss are luscious and hilarious! I really enjoy your natural warmth. Thank you for helping me with my make up.xxx
Absolutely love your videos, Wayne. I'm really a novice at makeup having spent the majority of my adult life getting away with good genes in terms of both bone structure and skin. A little concealer under the eyes, a swipe of lip gloss, a swipe of mascara, that kind of thing. But now I'm in my mid thirties, stressed, and often sleep deprived, and it's all showing up in my once fresh face. I've picked up a lot of great tips from you on how to get some of my natural glow back with makeup, but I'm really stuck when it comes to my eyes. The closest they resemble in terms of lid shape and relation to my eyebrows might be Angelina Jolie--deep set, but also slightly protruding. Can you do a couple of tutorials for the deepset eyed among us? There's so much natural shadow in my crease, I feel overwhelmed figuring out how to balance it and flatten out the look of the whole area. I know I would learn from you (aka the best) and your terrifically straightforward instructions (also the best)!
Gorgeous. I have big eyes (frog eyes) with hooded lids but will give this a try. Thanks Wayne. I noticed you were teasing us with that concealer brush that isn't released yet! ♥ Elle
Wayne l just want you to know that you have a lovely way of explaining things that give us confidence. Your Simplicity is what really does it ! Also you have a extraordinarally peaceful way about you... Thanks for inspiring and motivating us to add to our canvas. l will continue learning from you Wayne, have a beautiful evening .
I have learnt so much watching your videos, I'm thrilled with the results. I also love your no BS way of talking, it's a relief to listen to (and funny), you make it not intimidating to try. Love your channel, you are fabulous 💖
WOW, that made your eye look huge - I love your techniques. I have used a drop of oil in my foundation, and people say my skin looks amazing. I am in my early 60's, and of course, I take good care of my skin, using oils for cleansing and soft creams. But that foundation trick which I learned from you has transformed my life. Love you muchly Mr. Wayne ~ thank you so much for caring!!! we love you!!!
as a cosmetology student I appreciate your videos more than you can imagine! Whenever someone asks me questions about make up and wanting to learn how to do it, I send them to your channel (as opposed to a few others...) You teach how to do great make up, not what is the most dramatic, flashy, new thing out now. And you teach it right! We fight what Instagram and social media has done to the perception of the beauty industry every day. Thanks man!
I absolutely love your videos. I have been wearing makeup since 1982, but your videos have taught me some tips and tricks for how make up SHOULD be applied. Most of your tips have worked for my face and skin type. Only one or two haven't, and that was probably my fault. But thank you so much for putting out these videos. I love them.
Hi Wayne.. love your advise it worked out good for me. I have problem with my eyes watering all the time what can I use for my corners not to disappear. love your videos 😊
I have extremely dry eyes because they water constantly. I use restasis eye drops but these are by prescription. They help tremendously. Check with your eye doctor.
As I watch this (I am 1:54 way in), I keep thinking it's going to be an April fools joke because it looks so WRONG. I can't wait to see where you're going with this.....Ok. The clean-up helped and the end result definitly increased the size of the eye. You had me going for a minute there. Nicely done.
I am an older fan! 71 years old! When I was a kid mascara in a tube hadn't been invented yet!! Lol Wayne, you are fabulous!! 71 and I'm just learning to do makeup right! But My grand daughter has the same makeup bug!! We'll be watching you together!!! Hugs from Texas!!
I love how you only do half of your face at the time in these cases, before and after pictures just don't give the same effect. Great respect to you and have a good weekend!
Great video! I'm horrible at doing my make-up, but watching your tutorials helps quite a bit. I just can't get the finesse you exhibit...but that's why you're the pro!
...my eyes are deep set and small with a hood....this would not work for me, sadly because i love the look! can you make a video about a technique for my eye type that doesn't look overly made up? (not too much or no black liner on the bottom) that would be awesome and much appreciated!!! thanks, wayne! your eye looks amazing!...xo
+Donna Perry Darling I would need to see them as its not normally possible to have deep set hooded eyes as a deep set eye means the eye goes back in to the skull, which makes it hard to have a hooded eye. A hooded eye means the crease is covering some or all of the eyelid - if that makes sense x
***** yes, it makes sense! first of all, thank you so much for answering my question from a sea of a million questions!! lol....well, my eyes are def an enigma...the reason they are hooded, i think, is because i am 49...uggghhhh.....the skin sags naturally....well, how about i re-pose the original request.....can you please make a vid showing how to make an aging, deep set small eye look massive!! ahahah i'd send a pic but i am technologically inept.....xo
+Donna Perry I have extremely deep set eyes. My eyelid basically disappears when my eyes are open and all you see is my brow bone. And in pictures it looks like i have two holes in my face lol. I hate it so much.
I adore this man.. you have helped me start with (the ordinary )very much obliged I have late stage lyme and years ago just loved to do makeup and hair as I got bad tremors I stopped wearing makeup and lost interest in organic vegan good skincare I started following you and thank you Wayne makeup is easier and quicker and I feel so much better knowing and trusting what to buy and use.. much much love, you are beautiful ~
Simply remarkable! I'm not even close to 'advanced' anything with regard to makeup --esp eyes--but I'm going to practice this until I master it! Incredible.
I've been doing this for ages, and I naturally have big eyes so it makes my eyes look overwhelmingly large. My friends always comment on my eyes and how big they are and I'm like, you guys, I do this on purpose...
Is it possible to make your eyes look big while keeping your eyeshadow more natural? This tutorial is great, but it's also a very dramatic look that I wouldn't personally wear every day.
I actually discovered this on my own! I used to be afraid of shimmer but it really looks beautiful when you control it with a deep outer corner. Makes the eyes almost like an accessory
+LiliUF ... and from the packaging and the letters on the tube, I strongly believe the "absolutely shit" mascara was a crazy expensive one from Chantecaille ;)
Aziyadé Omg! I could get several of my favorite mascaras for the Chantecaille price, so that would be quite unfortunate if that's the one in question haha. I'll have to take another look at it in the vid.
I love your tutorials! They're always so helpful to me but more then that you almost always make me laugh with your comments & a serious face! Thank you Wayne! 😘😍😃
Your ears should have been burning today as I was with Charlotte Tilbury and TCS, and we were talking about you and Dr FPJ, everyone tells me that we are destined to meet ... so I wanted to say Hello x
Oh dalring, this message has made my day! I adore Charlotte and the TCS and of course Dr FPJ is just wonderful! Thank you so so much darling :) E-mail me would love to chat :) Wayne xxxx
+Wayne Goss Wayne, just for fun will you do full, classy drag one day after you apply all of the makeup? I know it is probably not your thing, but a gorgeous bob style wig with a shimmery lbd would look killer!
This is the first time i see an eye enlarging make up video with BLACK eyeliner in the waterline. I always play it safe with nude colors in the waterline or no color at all, and use transitions on the lower lash line bc im afraid a really dark smokey eye would shrink my eyes. Im gonna try it with this technique and see how it goes. And i will probs upload a pic and tag u on insta haha i know u dont care but imma do it anyway 😌💕
OMG Wayne! I actually do this everyyy single day coz my eyes are really small but they look really big bcoz of this technique! I have been doing it for years and I absolutely love it!!! And u r awesome!!!
I did this this morning with the colors I had including black. It was amazing!!!!!! I cannot do the water line because it irritates my eye, but this tip really works!!!! Thank you so much Wayne.
Wow! I have a routine similar to this technique, but with a chocolate brown eyeshadow instead of the black and dark waterline eyeliner. This has always been my preferred method for eyeshadow ever since I started using makeup, I love the finished look! You're fabulous x
This is exactly how I've been doing my eyes for a couple of years. Thanks for the tip on cleaning up. I have been doing it backward and will now change the order. Totally makes sense. You are amazing, Wayne. I love that I found your videos.
Stephanie Lange has a helpful video for a hooded eye and how to open it up. Don't me wrong I love Wayne but just happened upon that other video because I have hooded eyes and am struggling with them right now.
Love that you just get on it in a few steps..all other tutorials have sooo many steps and soo many different products. I would never leave my house in the morning.
One of the few Make up Artists on UA-cam who actually makes you understand the process.

No bullshit. Just straight to the tutorial. More people should be like you Wayne
Thats what i love about him!
meghan Steinberger because he focuses on the art and making good makeup techniques accessible not his own vanity!

Hello, green-eyed sister! Isn’t he beautiful? 50 here. He’s a Gem.
I love this so much. No annoying unnecessary drivel, brilliant tutorial. And it worked, even on my (annoyingly) 50 yr old eyelids......xo

I'm 72....how would you adapt this to the very aging eye? Thanks Wayne...xo patti 🎀
BuyerBewar25 is there an age where you should stop using powder and concealer?
There are so many powders, concealers and skin textures that I cannot
answer that question with a "yes" or "no." A person well under sixty may
decide to use cream foundation with little or no concealer or powder if
her skin texture is very uneven. A person well over sixty might have
some lines and wrinkles, but apart from that, have a finer skin texture
and still benefit from the right concealer and a good loose powder.
Generally, one should use only products that are kind to the skin, so
if you find that you cannot maintain healthy skin (at any age) while using a product or if you find it
impossible to use concealer and powder to create even skin tone and color, changes are in
order and those changes may include giving up both concealer and powder.
If someone has dry skin before the age of fifty and it just continually gets
drier, avoiding ingredients such as alcohol, high concentrations of talc and
aluminum compounds in cosmetics would be sensible, and this practically eliminates
most drugstore concealers and powders. Hope this helps.

Your tutorials are the best. You actually know what you are doing. A video on how to make hooded eyes look bigger would be awesome! :)
He has done it. It is on eyeshadow for hooded eyes, and makes the eye look much larger.
Wayne, you always make it look so easy. I wish I could blend as well. I've learned so much from you! Thank you!
Stunning technique and application, thanks for sharing your Knowledge and experience!
Love your tutorials. Quick, simple, straight to the point. One of the few "makeup" artists on youtube. So refreshing. :)

Loved this, I learned something and you always make me laugh! Thank you! :) Lisa
as a cosmetology student I appreciate your videos more than you can imagine! Thanks man!
Hi Wayne could you use softer colours for a less dramatic look?
+Natalie Boland Absolutely - darker colours here just for demonstration x
i am 52,i started doing make up since 20 and been doing the clean up process from then.
and it really works for me.thumbs up !!
I really love how you teach techniques You have always been a great influence
+MegaLastingBeauty thank you so so much xxx
How can someone be so amazing in a four minute tutorial. I will be trying this today!
I wish I could just have this man do my makeup every day for me. It would be perfect.
This is the one video I want to share with everyone I know. Absolutely amazing, easy, fabulous results, and unbelievably fast. Thank you!
''It was absolutely shit so don't worry about it".....I literally LOL!! 😂😂😂
+jukka556 Darling, are you using an SPF? I was having this issue and finding that SPF near my waterline (outside) was causing this xxxx
What is that... 54 and in my crisis years....
+jukka556 sun protection factor (also known as uv factor)
have u checked if u have dry eyes or allergy to some chemicals in make up?
I have extremely dry eyes because they water constantly. I use restasis eye drops but these are by prescription. They help tremendously. Check with your eye doctor.
You keep shrinking before my eyes! I love how REAL you are in your videos . . . Hope you are well Wayne! Sending love from Rhode Island!
The wink....... It always get me!!!!❤️
Best makeup tutorials ever! No drama, just make up. I love it.
I love how you only do half of your face at the time in these cases, before and after pictures just don't give the same effect. Great respect to you and have a good weekend!
I must get myself a blend-the-buggery-out-of-it brush !
Great video! I'm horrible at doing my make-up, but watching your tutorials helps quite a bit. I just can't get the finesse you exhibit...but that's why you're the pro!
"it was absolutely shit, so don't worry about it!" I spit out my coffee! Too funny! Thanks for the laugh Wayne!
Great filming!! quick to the point, like the humor- let the shadow down to the cheek!! Funny !! We love you Wayne!!
Wowww!!! I'll definitely be practicing this one!! You're hilarious by the way haha "this ones shit so dont worry about it" lmao haha
yay simple, classic, timeless and always beautiful- this technique truly works on every eye everywhere!
...my eyes are deep set and small with a hood....this would not work for me, sadly because i love the look! can you make a video about a technique for my eye type that doesn't look overly made up?
+Wayne Goss please... because i have that kind of eye too.. the crease covering the eyelid. only a little bit showing
+Donna Perry I have extremely deep set eyes. My eyelid basically disappears when my eyes are open and all you see is my brow bone. And in pictures it looks like i have two holes in my face lol. I hate it so much.
TheBoots72 hahahah....i hear ya! its hard to apply mascara too.....lol
I died when you said "don't worry if it's halfway down your cheeks" cause knowing me, it probably will be.
You are a genius. No bull talk-- just educational and helpful!
Is it possible to make your eyes look big while keeping your eyeshadow more natural? This tutorial is great, but it's also a very dramatic look that I wouldn't personally wear every day.
Alaina Atk. Aly art has a good tutorial up on her channel for huge eyes :)
Alaina Atk. I think doing the look with lighter colors and skipping lining the waterline could do a similar but less dramatic effect.
Alaina Atk. Maybe you should try brown/ish colors then. 😉
Alaina Atk. You can use the same technique, just use lighter shadows in the same color family as your skin tone.
Alaina Atk. stay light with your shadows and use white on your water line
I actually discovered this on my own! I used to be afraid of shimmer but it really looks beautiful when you control it with a deep outer corner. Makes the eyes almost like an accessory
The part about the mascara had me cracking up. :D
love it lol
Haha same
+LiliUF ... and from the packaging and the letters on the tube, I strongly believe the "absolutely shit" mascara was a crazy expensive one from Chantecaille ;)
Aziyadé Omg! I could get several of my favorite mascaras for the Chantecaille price, so that would be quite unfortunate if that's the one in question haha. I'll have to take another look at it in the vid.
Love how you get stunning results and make it sooo simple to follow, unlike some gurus that make it so complicated. THANK YOU!!!
Thank you xx
"Don't worry it was absolutely shit" hahaahhah made me laugh
+Wayne Goss I have emailed on your address listed in diary directory xx
+Wayne Goss Wayne, just for fun will you do full, classy drag one day after you apply all of the makeup? I know it is probably not your thing, but a gorgeous bob style wig with a shimmery lbd would look killer!
Nadine Baggott
I see, he only applies to those from across the pond who know someone who knows someone. How very ain’t we the stuff of you both 🙄😏
I came here for a makeup tutorial. Ended up mesmerized by the beauty and the voice. Learned nothing but I am absolutely in love 😍😍
I love how to the point, short, clear & streamlined your tutorials are. Also they look 'natural' & suits most people. Thank you!
OMG Wayne! I actually do this everyyy single day coz my eyes are really small but they look really big bcoz of this technique! I have been doing it for years and I absolutely love it!!! And u r awesome!!!
Wayne, do you have any tips for those of us who wear glasses? I know I have a hard time getting my eyes to really pop from behind my glasses.
I did this this morning with the colors I had including black. It was amazing!!!!!! I cannot do the water line because it irritates my eye, but this tip really works!!!! Thank you so much Wayne.
I appreciate your videos so much, you have no idea!!
Wow! I have a routine similar to this technique, but with a chocolate brown eyeshadow instead of the black and dark waterline eyeliner. This has always been my preferred method for eyeshadow ever since I started using makeup, I love the finished look! You're fabulous x
+Wayne goss would using a liquid liner on top make the eyes look smaller?
I love how you don't chat shit for 25 mins at the start of your videos. Straight to the point, one of the reasons you're the best on YT 😘 xx
Haha it's very helpful! Thank u uncle Goss! Xoxoxo
+Han Fang hahaha thank you darling, i love Uncle Goss :)
+Wayne Goss
+Han Fang He makes it look so easy. Practice makes perfect, so I'm going for it.
+TheEnergyMagic that's why I love him so much
This is exactly how I've been doing my eyes for a couple of years. Thanks for the tip on cleaning up. I have been doing it backward and will now change the order. Totally makes sense. You are amazing, Wayne. I love that I found your videos.
how would you modify for a hooded (older) eye?
Stephanie Lange has a helpful video for a hooded eye and how to open it up. Don't me wrong I love Wayne but just happened upon that other video because I have hooded eyes and am struggling with them right now.
Love that you just get on it in a few steps..all other tutorials have sooo many steps and soo many different products. I would never leave my house in the morning.
'But it was absolutely shit so dont worry about it' hahahha love you wayne, you're straight to the point
