My first helicopter ride was flying around and landing on Point St. George lighthouse in Crescent Ciry, California.

It sure has changed. Big parking lot, railings and a ton more people. It's good that a lot more people can access it, but I did enjoy it when it was more 'off the beaten path'. I guess you take the bad with the good. Same goes for lower antelope canyon. When I first went through it, there was maybe 10 people in there. Someone was actually set up with an easel at the Lady in the Wind and painting an oil painting. Hard to believe. Nice images!

😅Thanks! The helicopter ride was epic! and not as expensive as I thought, Ive paid more to tour canyons. And his was an awesome way to see things from above since drones are a no-no in most of the area.

We’re getting closer to Page and was wondering what helicopter company you used for that incredible ride, and also was there one special canyon you’d recommend touring over the others. We’d always heard canyon x was the best.

I used papillon helicopter, I believe they are the only ones in page, if you book go directly they them and not a third party, they have offices at the airport or online third parties like the page lake Powell hub charge almost double for the same ride
Canyon x is nice, I enjoyed mystical antelope canyon as there were no crowds but there’s also Secret Antelope canyon and horse shoe bend tour that I really wish I had had time to do, I believe from talking to others that it’s one of the better ones in the area!

While in phoenix try a day trip to Payson, there’s a state park up there I forgot the name, but there’s only one 🤷♂️ and the drive up thru the seguaro cactus is beautiful!

Update …. My husband went on the photographers canyon x tour this week with Taadidiin tours, and yesterday went on the papillon helicopter tour around page, landing on the butt, and having the reserved front seat. He is totally overwhelmed by these two adventures, and I thank you for your advice. It’s always best to find out what others think who have been there/done that. Many thanks again.
