This thing looks pretty good. I like that it appears to have a lot of deck space even if you have the drive up. Ive also always liked that this guy seems to care about selling a good well thought out kayak at a decent price.

This literally is a game changer, this Kaku should get paddle board/kayak of the year. I've wanted a voodoo since I seen them but wanted the drive to keep hands free, I live in Jax and the Kaku is super popular here. Definitely saving to get one! Better than everything showed!

I cant say enough about this kayak. I've been fishing it for about a year now out of Yankeetown/Crystal River area. Stability is crazy good. The seat on this really sets it off. I cant get out in the water without 20 questions from bystander's. I've had it loaded with tons of camping gear and you barely notice it as you pedal. Great fishing platform. Tons of deck space and storage. There is also a tone of track space to mount any accessories you might want. Kevin has also been super great a from a customer service standpoint. Any question I've had has been answered promptly. He even met me after hours to deliver the Kayak.
Have to say, this Zulu (is King), looks like the real deal for marsh fishing using motor to get to / from targeted area quickly, then paddle / push pole in shallows and sitting up high (or standing) for sight casting. Light weight is yet another bonus for older guys with experienced backs. I will buy this hybrid, place a Bixby on it with a power / mechanical pole. One other added bonus could be that, in the event of a power loss or breakdown of the drive, paddling would still be a viable option to get back to the landing.
Kevin is so real, always. Great products, just wish he could manufacture here in the USA. I’ve had a Wahoo and it was an awesome yak. Just went to a hobie for the drive system.

Nice information. I agree and disagree with the peddle motion. Everyone’s knees and hips are different. When I peddled the Slayer Propel 10 for more than ten minutes straight,!my hips would hurt and when I raised the seat it felt better. However when I was all the way up on the Blue Sky Angler my one knee would start to kill me as soon as I tried to go above three miles per hour. On my Hobie Outback I can peddle a lot longer, but I wish the seat were an inch or two higher, but for me it is a lot more comfortable. I think I need a bass Boat now that I am almost 60! Lol

Love the high seat position. I'm tall so sitting 3 inches off the kayak deck isn't good. I would think peddling this kayak would actually be more comfortable, actually peddling below even with your seat height

Aliex, you need to take Kevin up on his offer....the guy is really dedicated.....he drove straight through from Tarpon Springs to Houston last spring just for a kayak demo over a rainy weekend. He brought his own personal Voodo board that he used on all of his videos & a Wahoo kayak. I was impressed with that....he’s the real deal....and I got to paddle that Voodo from all of his UA-cam videos....nice board to mount a motor or to paddle & rock solid. He’s a good fly fisherman on the flats too.
I really have to make that trip soon

I own the Voodoo which is very similar so probably around 70lbs naked.
Very prototype so it is hard to say, like 911 said probably around 70-80lb

Yeah they will sell it without the drive too, but if you put the motor maybe you want a foot rudder control for hands free

your videos are great, but all ocean boats and kayak videos are from Florida. i Live in Northern California, and the Off Shore and even our American River has rougher waters than Florida. Do you have any videos for this area? I am shopping for a new kayak, and i am stuck between the Vibe Sea Ghost 13 and the Pelican Catch 130 HD. Do you have any sugestion on a Yak that will suit me for our waters here?
