Marty is extremely talented especially with all he does, to help us with crazy, epic DIY's. But Aliex, is the best reviewer out there. And he will put that kayak through everything it can handle. That's a sweet on man boat, factory wired is what I love. Epic stuff Aliex. 😎 🎣🌊
Your right Marty if you want a big motor get a boat lol. keep it real it's a kayak when you add weight to the front when your not on the power the bow will dive.. learned by trial and error,,it all looks good on paper till you get on the water ...if we weren't out their testing we weren't be learning anything about e.k.s, these paper proffsers need our input I have been building and testing e.k.s. since 2003 as a hobby their has been some progress in the last 16 years but not much, most of it is showboating ,(looking like a Christmas tree with a lot of presents under it lol,,,I'm glad you didn't show up in a suite and tie thanks for keeping it real I gotta get up to your place and compare notes and shoot the breeze and maby some kayaking but mainly shoot the bull,,thanks again for being honest
Great job Aliex. It's interesting that everyone connected with Pelican is downplaying the ability to use a small gas powered motor on it. They mention it but that's it. I have a little 2.5 Yamaha that I only use on my boats but am very intrigued about the possibility of putting it on a kayak.
We weren't allowed to demo a gas motor in Denver or Orlando, that is why all the focus is on the electric trolling motor. But yes, the PWR 100 can also handle a 2.5 hp gas motor ;-)
@@AliexFolgueira Honda does not have a gear shift so a bit easier to operate. I looked at the Jonny Boat at the Sydney Boat Show. Has some nice features however really like the simplicity of the Pelican. The pelican has built in motor mount, open deck and the swivel sliding seat to operate motor and adjust trim. Pelican could be by next boat when I give up paddling.
@@AliexFolgueira For a guy like me who already has a fishing boat its not worth it looking for something inexpensive for some small ponds. do you have any ideas thank you.
If you dont mind paddeling you can buy a kayak called the Lifetime Yukon. Can find them at a place called Blains Farm and Fleet on sale for $400 all the time. Ive got one and for the money its a great kayak.
Hola Alex, soy Jonh nos vimos en el agua el pasado sábado 9 de Mayo, me gusta mucho el pelican catch pwr 100 donde puedo comprarlo? Muchas gracias Feliz dia
Sooooo... If i go fishing with this i have to turn around to control it after i get back to my spot? In stead of a propulsion system in the middle or front....
Nice kayak! I like it ! and if I install any kind of trolling motor on it ,I need apply for a drive license ? Don't I? I am looking forward to your reply.
Hellz yep Aliex ! Get both , 4 Shimano rod & reel combos + a decent kayak trailer to haul them on , & the decision morphs between all that , or 1 big-ass Whoreby Tariffed 360 model !
See how stable the catch power is ua-cam.com/video/rUox_2MVlzI/v-deo.html
Zoffs videos are relaxing for sure been watching him for years.
Ohh yeah

Great icast coverage. Thanks alot for doing such a great job.🙂
Thanks Steven 😁
Marty is a legend to me.
He is
You two make a good team! It’s like Laurel and Hardy rerun on tv. You just so fun to watch.
Lol I always try to bring in a bit of fun on my videos
Thx Aliex for all the great videos but I want to know which one would you pick this or the jonny boat?
Luckily I don't have to pick, I have both lol 😂 😂 😂 catch is very prototype now not fair to compare, gonna do a bunch of videos on Jonny soon

The coolest guys ever! I really love both of your videos.
Thanks 😁 😁 😁 Marty is awesome
My wife said yesterday, “why are you watching Kayak videos when you have one now?” Gotta Watch! I am in the Aliex, Zoffinger and Chad Hover fan club.
Lol the best club 😁
Aliex If you got it flaunt it! Lol
My 2 favorite guys for Kayaks
This is awesome, thank you
I knew Marty knew more about the Catch Power 100 than he was acting like he knew I even question him about it with no answer.
Even if he knew he couldn't tell you, non disclosure contracts
Yeah I figured that
Pelican Catch PWR = $999
Pelican Bass Raider = $799
I chose the cheaper one and it is so far very fun.
Great times
Honda 2.3 hp gas motor is light weight would probably be ok. There are also some other light weight air cooled outboards available.
Thinking Suzuki but may end up with mercury

Does anyone know when this will be out, I’d like to get it for my dad.
Early next year
YOU ARE A LEGEND..!
U are the best

Cool boat. But seeing that its a few hundred dollars more then the Johnny Boat Ill be curious to see how many sell.
Can't wait to see the final catch
What’s a good trolling motor to pair with this boat ?
Any 55# 12v would do
Yup, you two need a fishing video together !
Yes we should!!!
Yeah you two need to start fishing together. Two of my most favorite channels. You two do a great job on you all's channels. 🙂
Why feel sorry for us lol. You make great informative videos. I’m always excited to see what you show us next. Keep up the great work.
Lol 😂 just making a joke 😁
I love it and i cant wait . It will fit inside of the Honda pilot no problems. How much i hope it will be around $ 500$ thank you for the video.
Gonna be more than $500, they are looking at $1299

GSTIX Bespoke Fishing The seat turns 360 degrees which helps. But I agree, I would add foot controls and a pod
I'm gonna rig up some foot control on mine

No license, just registration
@@AliexFolgueira Forgive me ,Your means is to have a registration at kayak seller's store or trolling motor seller's store, or government?
Get the receipt, certificate of origin and go to the dmv

What’s the price on it
academy sports wants $1099 as of June 2022
Price point
We hear $1299
How well will it be for some one who is 6ft 240lbs?
Have 210 # to spare you will be fine
The seat accommodates up to 300 lb and the boat, if properly balanced, is rated for a total of 450 lb
No need for built in wheels, build a cart for $25
That’s right
$$$
MSRP will be $1299
