Thank you so much for this! I've been puzzling for 2 days on how these time lapse videos are made and whether it was a feature I wasn't aware of or if it was a mod
Fun Fact, when you start a new game, you can "undo" what's already there. You can see how the Dev's actually did that small creation. The history is there. All maps are natively blank.
Good stuff. Quick screen recording tip for anyone on windows. Windows has a built in-game capture software, the game bar, you can press windows key + G to access it and start recording in-game footage without much hassle.
And with that you can undo the pre-generated deorama the game generated with every new game and learn how those were done. People have just been deleting these hints without realizing it >_
my builds have so many tiny details, that even in timelapse it took more than half hour, and my game started freezing :-D. Let me know if you/ anyone you know faced anything like it. I plan to break up build in small chunks and record going ahead. i dont plan on posting to youtube but sometimes wathcing you build come to life is relaxing and feels good
I know the devs are constantly working on fixing issues like that. If you use discord, join their server and post about this is the technical issue channel
Oh wow, I had no idea it stores infinite undo. Since it stores all that data anyway it would be cool if exporting a timelapse just became a single button in photo mode.
There are tons of building guides out there already. I don't want to be a copycat... If I come across a technique worth sharing, I will do that of course.
There is no official way to do this yet. The developers said that they used a rudimentary key frame editor for their trailers. This feature has been made public in one of the recent updates. But it is in an experimental stage and does not yet function within camera mode afaik.

I'm happy I could help :)

Steam also have built in video recorder
That’s weird I can’t redo while rising this screen record option 😢

Oh! Good point
there should be clear canvas kind of button. removing trees gets boring sometimes

Thank you
thank you @markispaki !
you are welcome! :) I'm happy I could help
UA-cam gave me a 3 minute un-skippable ad? No sir!
:/ lovely
i have an irrational fear that i may construct something inbetween the undo that'll mess up my hours of build
As long as you make sure to stay in Photo Mode, you can't build anything.
Make a Favela to brazil👌
Hi, can i still do this with the build I did a few days ago that was saved?
yes
Thanks bro for this video but I hope the Arabic language is available for translation
Thank you to the inventor of undo and redo.
I thought it was sometging like that. I would be great if this could be included as a feature in the game.
Afaik they are including a key frame editor for camera control... So it actually just might be added in the future!
tuto start at 2:19
