Medford fanboy here, great video. I enjoy your videos, and your character. Your vids are yours. They’re enjoyable because your passion shows. If you’re having fun, and reviewing knives you enjoy, you’re ahead of the game. And spite is a solid motivator 😹
The Slim Midi is such a great knife. Small carry profile but still has a big, reasonably thick blade. I own several and they all came razor sharp from the factory. Pocket clip could be a little better and the lock bar access could be a little better but those are minor nits to me.
My most educational video that I put the most effort in do the absolute worst. People ask me for sharpening vids or mod vids, tutorial this and breakdown that. I make it for those who care. But yeah the videos that do the best are when I buy new shit😂😂
I have the chunky midi I purchased used. It's awesome for a smaller knife. I only wish the clip was a little more beefy even though it hasn't been a issue. Just for peace of mind I guess.
I’ve had a similar experience with my slim praetorian. Been a great user. It also has the slightest bit of lock flex, but doesn’t fail. The best blade to handle ratio knife I have is my McNees Mac2 3.5 it’s perfect in that regard. Never had another knife come even close. I wouldn’t mind seeing some cutting footage laced into the vids btw.
I fully agree with about not needing to completely wreck the finish on a $500+ knife just to show its capabilities. Especially if the views from you wrecking it do not warrant the cost of the damages. I have a BUNCH of very expensive knives myself. And even if I had a blade channel, I would not dare destroy them to appease the rabble unless my content's views were AT LEAST able to replace the knife with a brand new one.
Dang man. The scales on mine were made just after yours I think #93-026. I just switched my pocket clip with a slim praetorian clip and it is so so so much better. Fits in thicker seamed pockets and looks better to me plus better feel in hand . I love my slim midi
I too use my slim, good knife, you'd probably be surprised how many "knife guys" don't recognize it.... probably wouldn't hurt to post reviews on knives you think everyone has seen:)
I also have a bunch of Medfords, some gen 1 and some new and the new ones are so much better. I have a new Slim Midi on bearings and I love it. My favs are the usmc fighter folder and the auto nosferatu, you should check one out. Some of them do have the exposed lock face and I was worried about it but none of them have ever had the slightest problem! All of them are Tanks!
I carry either a Medford Proxima or TFF-1, everyday for work stuff. Same setup as your Midi Maurader. Feels safer using those bruisers to thrash stuff. Now, my $1100 Fat Daddy... Not so much, lol
It ain't worth it bro. You'll never recover the funds. Btw, don't know if you care or not, but you can acid dip that blade, resharpen it, and it'll look good as new. Thanks for the vid.
Still can’t believe how poorly Medford unveiled his failed OTF project. Their poor handling of that fiasco was enough for me to never consider purchasing anything in their lineup.
It was (still is) pretty bad. His decision to reinvent the wheel by doing it all house was dumb. zit would make sense if he was doing something new, but inside it's the same damn mechanism as 99% of OTF's
@@edged_mindset 100% agree. I can only imagine that atmosphere in their Arizona shop once the widely documented shortcomings of his project started to emerge throughout the knife community😬
I like my Medford knives. I don’t like were he is taking his company. Examples. No more praetorians. No MORE HOLLOW GRINDS👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 NO MORE CUSTOM BUILDS UNLESS HE DOES A ONE OFF WHENEVER HE FEELS LIKE MAKING ONE. His budget knives are not interesting and your price tag remains same if not climbing. Old stuff is great I own several. Thanks for sharing though 👍🏼👍🏼
Keep doing exactly what you’re doing, man. I love this channel and the type of content you’re creating.
I appreciate that!

Medford knives are top notch, well made knives.Gregs a great guy and knows how to run a company

I'm a collector. I have users but some I admit I want to keep nice as a show piece. I have 3 Medfords and love them.
Same! I have a dew hard users, a bunch I light carry, and some that stay in the case
I really enjoy your knife videos. The way they are. People will bitch about anything brother.
👊
I have like 15 medfords. Love them!
Same here love them all
I love your collection man!
Thank you!
Also just wanted to say my favorite blade to handle ratio is actually the Mordax. The side profile open is SO good!
The market is saturated with China made “overviews”. This was a good video. I’m biased as I want a Medford Marauder though.

What is the name of your most educational video?

i been dying to try a slim midi, on bearings preferably...I only have 1 medford and it's a chodey fella, The Eris...and i love it
Just got my first medford smooth criminal ans very pleased with it so far
It's my favorite. Enjoy

Possibly! We will see how this one does. So far so good

I have thought about trying the USMC fighter
@@edged_mindset They break in really nicely. I'd definitely get a tumbled finish, not coated!
I want one so bad!
can you make a video on you're fav knife to carry?
I watch ALL your videos and shorts.
I can't commit on shorts, unfortunately..😪
I appreciate you 👊

😀
I probably use my edc 2-3 times a day. 🤷🏼♂️. I’m not a collector, just a guy who cares a pocket knife.
I have yet to purchase a Medford.
IMHO for the price point there is better quality and better choices 🤷🏻♂️ 😂
My next two purchases will be Microtech
Testing vids absolutely
the "collector's centering" secret is...................................73 washers

I have no opinion on the guy, but I’ve heard other people say he’s a stubborn know it all.

He is going to bring back the Praetorians. He's going to let the current stock sell out, then bring them back as a new generation.
Medford knives are overpriced and overrated.
Eww a Medford 😂
🤣
