You probably won't see this but I have a question. Does the ultimate form mean you can no longer gain strength? Like it's the limit of your power, but you still have to train to keep it sharp? If god ki was applied would Gohon get stronger if so doesn't that contradict the previous statement that he can no longer gain more power? Unless god ki is considered an exception to the rule
Never understood this myth. It's one of the myths that can show the difference between a real Dragon Ball fan and a fake one so it has some merit to it
I will never get people who thought Kid Buu was the strongest version. Goku was freaking terrified of the idea of fighting Buuhan, and was practically begging Vegeta to fuse with him when they were facing that version of Buu, but thought beating Kid Buu was doable without fusion, if not for the massive ki-drain that SSj3 had. The reason why Kid Buu was so dangerous wasn't because he was the strongest, but because he was the most evil and chaotic of the bunch.
Kid Buu was only the strongest in the Z Anime version, it's pretty clear. However, in all other versions such as the Manga and whatnot, Buuhan is clearly the strongest
@@TheSuperGoober Which makes even less sense, the anime basically contradicts itself, they say Kid Buu is the strongest form yet SSJ3 Goku and Kid Buu were fighting on even grounds whilst it’s obvious he couldn’t even touch Buuhan
@@sonomni the Anime backs this up by stating that Kid Buu was only playing with them. Basically, Kid Buu was just having a good fun time while fighting Goku, which would support him both being the strongest aswell as why he was fighting even with Goku, he was just playing around

Cooler is still my favorite fo the Freeza race, still believe that Arcosians are the better version for the name and his story has great potential as a few great fanfics dove into. I’m glad he gets more of a showcase in the games more often.
And here I've always called Gohan's Ultimate Form the "Elder Kai Unlock Ability" thanks to my first exposure to it being the DBZ Budokai 3 game on PS2 .
I like the idea that Cooler just didn't want to rule. This is also now my head canon on why he looks so much different from Freezer and King Cold: They reproduce via cloning and bio engineering and Cold just put too much fighter/everything else and too little king in the mix in the effort to make him stronger. Thus the additional transformation without training.
7:57 Thank you! This has been a battle since I can remember and I always get dragged when I say Buuhan was the most powerful, Kid Buu was just a force of nature. I had never known that they weren't actually called the Briefs family.
Masako, I have just found your channel again after a year or 2 and I am very happy to see that you have kept up the great dragon ball content. I’m going to start watching your videos again. Especially the what ifs (they are my bread and butter) so I wish you luck with your UA-cam career and I hope you keep making great videos!
Well part of the initial issue are games running with things (like the Cold family not quite being loving), Toriyama forgetting stuff (being the OG forgetful shounen artist) But some people love to death grip certain narratives. But in things like "how frost clan reproduce" goes under the thing "has canon confirmed it" if not, go to "has canon deconfirmed it", and if that's also no, then it's good to go. Interesting on Cooler, but yeah the family strife is good material, like the Freeza issues. The dub basically confused people on the matter with Kid Buu. It's telling that Kid Buu didn't do a big talk of blowing up earth, he just did it. That and he wasn't confined by the notion of a static form, thus the stretchiness and unusual shapes. the "Son family' is perhaps the only surname in use, but the lack of such in a "western" family is massively just a mind screw, that and someone referred to as "Dr. First name" Ah yeah... that, when I see a drink with "Mystic Mango" I like to joke about other names like "Ultimate Mango" "Elder Kai Unlock Mango"
The stuff with Frieza's race and Cooler is really cool to me. I don't often see headcanons being understood be be incorrect but still accepted since it's cool.
Over here on Latin America We know gohan during the Buu arc as Gohan Místico (Mystic) it appears in almost every merchandise you can find, not sure it’s mentioned in the show tho
My screw-up came from mixing up Bojack with the Buu Saga. I thought for some reason that Buu's holding place had been exposed to Babadi because of Goku bringing Cell to King Kai's planet and blowing it up.
The three biggest villains of DragonBall Z are the 3 types of evil from the d&d alignment chart perfectly. Frieza is lawful evil, perfect cell is neutral evil, and kid buu is chaotic evil.
Yeah, sometimes the dub-isms were more interesting. Also purified Majin Buu was more “dangerous” because there is nothing restraining him anymore, no real self preservation instincts because he knew he would literally pull himself back together, simply just destruction, chaos, and anarchy incarnated.
I think we all agree it's his 2nd form; the resemblance to 2nd form Frieza is too close. If the forms are reversible, something that seems implied all the time but we never see, then that showed he had more power by being able to stay "stable" in his second form; as again it is implied (but not confirmed) the higher the form the less stable and worse energy control the person has.
@@dannybeane2069 I definitely agree and would like for that not to be cold's final form, but I've seen people argue cold is weaker than Frieza, and I assume it's because the second form appearence is weaker than Mecha Frieza and assumed to be his final form. I assume their logic is that frost mutant suppressions and forms are heavily customizable. The possibility that Frieza made his second form resemble colds final is I assume what they go off of. I wanna see final form Cold tho, imagine that wicked level of power at the time
@@billybobbro8216 Dragon Ball Multiverse has that, pretty early on too. It's not official but it's damn cool and looks fitting, as do his higher forms.
not going to lie, i did like the twist that Kid Buu wasnt the most powerful but that didnt make him less dangerous, it made him FAR MORE DANGEROUS, felt like a force of nature with no control at all.
As someone who isn't super duper familiar with the lore of the Buu arc, this video was extremely helpful and informative. Especially the thing about Mystic/Ultimate/Potential Gohan. You managed to explain a completely acceptable story for how Gohan's power works in just a few minutes. That's a feat in its own right.
My headcanon/interpretation of Frieza "being born of King Cold alone" is that the Frieza race is able to reproduce like normal lizards(Toriyama describes them as hybrids of sorts) but one of Cold's mutant powers is reproducing asexually. Kind of like some species of lizards
Cooler obviously cared about Frieza in some way. Maybe even if it's the way Vegeta cares about Goku. You don't spill the blood of their race and them not be pissed.
I know this isn't official but in a fan manga, it's explained that members of Frieza's race are born encased in thick ice. Who then start to go through a thawing period. The longer it takes for them to thaw out the more powerful they can potentially become.
I've argued for that stance too. Goku wasn't too worried about Kid Buu, which is why he and Vegeta chose to fight him separately instead of fusing again with the Potara earrings, unlike Super Buu who they avoided fighting head-on.
Masakox: Producers and Dubbers were less inclined to keep the original story. Instead choosing to adapt scripts to make it, ......more American. Me remembering 4Kids: Those were some dark times in the 90s.
I would just keep the Briefs family name because it just makes sense. When referring to someone as a doctor you don't use their first name so the conclusion is logical and it makes sense. Of course the family that runs Capsule Corp would be one of those special families that have a last name.
I like this series Masako, I do hope you continue this "The unofficial vs official" lore of Dragonball. It's super interesting to see how so many myths and inaccuracies came about, and what the truth really is.
I may have actually CREATED a misconception in the Starcraft fandom by spreading the idea of "sub-cerebrates" that served the main cerebrates that commanded the Zerg Broods. The idea came from a misreading of the Starcraft manual and the fact that in the Zerg campaign you play as a cerebrate whose minions use the color of Jormungand Brood led by the Cerebrate Araj.
14:44 so in other words Gohan could've been the most OP dragon ball character had he only kept TRAINING! Oof that's a bummer, though I guess that would be boring seeing Gohan actually put up a fight against Beerus and Frezia.
Even Vegeta said that Gohan had the most potential out of all of them. In less than 48 hours Gohan had achieved a power at least on par with SSJB so who knows how powerful he could be if he kept training. I doubt he could best Beerus, but would likely still be above Goku.
@@seandobbins2231 Gohan after his defeat against Frieza in ROF has asked Piccolo to train him up again and has trained before Universe 7 vs Universe 6 Tornament, after the Battle against Zamasu and Lastly Before the Tornament of Power, Piccolo since them whenever he's not training Gohan continued his training and took it to very serious 48 hours before the Tornament of Power. I checked the anime just to be sure and yep Gohan has scheduled time for some training building up during of after each saga for the Real Intense training and regaining his Ultimate Form again, I hope he decides to train under Shin and Elder Kai to use the Abilities of A Supreme Kai making him an official Supreme Kai Disciple and who knows achieve a new power that is the Opposite to what New Form Vegeta has. (Gohan Blanco maybe... Jokes aside it will make sense for his Hair to turn White and maybe keep his eyes black since Supreme Kai's have black eyes except Zamasu)
@@greenguardian5845 I know that Gohan trained some during previous arcs, but wasn't as serious about it until just prior the ToP. Also, his most dramatic increase was during the 48 hours prior to the ToP. As interesting as it'd be to see Gohan go the Kaioshin route, Shin is too inexperienced as a Kaioshin to be a proper teacher. Elder Kaioshin might be suitable, but his knowledge as Kaioshin seems incomplete as well. If Dai Kaioshin could reemerge and train Gohan, that'd be preferable since he was the strongest Kaioshin and likely knew more than the others. I'd say that Gohan shouldn't have a different form, though. The idea of his unleashed potential is that he doesn't need to transform so any new power he gains should always be available in his base form.
@@seandobbins2231 I see, although Gohan in the Anime said in the english sub that he will achieve an Ultimate Form that noone has ever seen before and will achieve from a different route. Not sure about the Manga though since (correct me if I'm wrong) Toyutaro didn't really bother to do the Tornament of Power justice in the Manga more or less besides the awesome part of Gohan Knocking out Kefla out of the Ring with Gohan as well. But either way we're just gonna have to wait and see whenever the Anime continues or the Manga finally giving Gohan a chance to Actually keep up with his Father and Vegeta
@@greenguardian5845 I do recall that line and would be great if they followed up on it. It's true that the manga didn't have an equivalent line, but Toyotaro portrayed Gohan as more powerful than the anime did. We'll just have to wait and see, but I suspect the movie will do something with Gohan so perhaps we'll get answers there.
In the Philippines back in the 90's, someone started something, saying that Chichi was also an alien because her dad was too large to be a normal human
Gohan's form is also very weird compared to the anime and manga (Super). Anime implied its a replacement for Super Saiyan or at the very least its own form beyond what SSJ 1 or 2 could've given him. Manga implies that Gohan can add Super Saiyan on top of his "Ultimate Form" but chooses not to because he's looking for a power up outside of his saiyan heritage.
That part about Kid Buu being chaos incarnate makes me think of Final Fantasy IX. It had that sudden secret "actual" final boss at the end, Necron. He came out of nowhere for no reason at all and he just wanted to make everything stop existing or something. It's one of those "fighting against fate" kind of tropes.
People bitching about Gohan "losing the Ultimate form in Gt" only for Super to come around and do the same thing. Personally I like to hold the dub as a completely separate entity from the Japanese version. Like Robotech vs Macross. Have your cake and eat it too or so they say.
Regarding Gohan's Potential Unleashed power- couldn't accessing the power just be a function of the normal powering up anybody does? It's not like everyone else goes around with their full power on either. Likewise, if anybody else stopped training their power would presumably atrophy as well.
MASAKOOO Do a what if scenario with Broly in DBZ pleeeease. I do have an idea. What if Bulma, Gohan and Krillin landed on Vampa instead of "fake Namek". But if you have a better scenario, by all means!
On the topic of headcanon, or what I infer based off of implication at least, is that Super Saiyan Rose in the manga is just an equivalent of SSB in terms of how the power is obtained (that being SSG + SSJ) since he uses SSJ1 and 2 before he's implied to even know how to use SSJ Rose while in the anime it's just his version of SSJ but it has the power boost of SSB because he has God Ki without needing SSG I also love the concept done by Hyourinjutsu that all SSJ forms, canon or not, are connected in some form or another. For example SSJ Rage is a powered up version of SSJ2, LSSJ (Or Full Power SSJ in DBS) is the 'mastered' version of the standard Super Saiyan Form, and other things like that
you know it's possible that Frieza's race might still reproduce sexually and only Frieza was created from cloning. it seems like something King cold might do to create a suitable heir (and make sure he strong)
Interesting to see these "confirmed". I was most surprised about the name thing. Watching the original show with subtitles always called him Son Goku with no other clarification, so I find the confusion justified. Situations closer to Cooler and Cold, though.. most of DragonBall Z seems to have been written without much plan for the future. so of course even without the movies some facets struggle to align, such as Frieza's family once his father was conjured. The dubs may have a split, but there were potential issues from the beggining.
I've honestly been confused about the Ultimate Gohan form after rewatching the series a few years ago. In my youth I misread the sub as saying "Don't bother with using super saiyan, it's deprived..." Which gave me the impression that he has had all of his potential drawn out into his base form, and doesn't need to transform anymore... this is reinforced by him... well... not using a transformation that would make him much more powerful... but when rewatching I found out the actual sentence is "Don't bother with that super saiyan thing, it's depraved..." ... so is it a chaotic and unseemly power that Elder Kai just dislikes, and Gohan has chosen not to use, or is it a needless power that Gohan is learning how to circumvent in order to maximize ki efficiency? Or is it a mix of both?
@@eternal1832 He said it right after he finished unlocking Gohan's full potential, and Gohan powered up. Right before Gohan went back to Earth to fight Super Buu. Can't look up episode number off-hand.
Surprised you didn’t bring up how there’s no Surname’s in dragon ball. Like Briefs isn’t a last name, it’s just his name. Same with Gero despite being a doctor. The only reason Videl even learns Gohan’s identity as great Saiyaman is because him and Goku both have the Son surname which makes them stand out amongst the greater world
There are surnames in Dragon Ball, just not many. It's even stated by Bulma in early DB that most people in the world don't have a surname. Dr. Slump characters, who do make brief appearances in Dragon Ball, have surnames. Jaco and Meerus have surnames. Presumably other members of the Galactic Patrol do as well. As a joke, there surnames are ridiculously long. Continuing with Jaco, his manga debut, Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, does have a few characters who also have surnames. And yes, that manga is officially apart of the DB continuity. It's a direct prequel to DB. Furthermore, the old man Gohan meets prior to the Cell Games - interestingly in the Japanese version of the credits he does indeed have a last name. Also, Roshi's fake identity in the tournament arc, known as Jackie Chun, uses a surname. Obviously it's a nod to Jackie Chan.
8:34, one more thing. Super Buu can warp through dimensions with a scream. Kid Buu...I don't think he can do that from what I can recall. Feel free to correct me. 12:44,great! Gohan's Mystic/Ultimate form has the same name trouble as Dragonzord Battle Mode/Mega Dragonzord debacle.
So, Gohan's potential is like physical muscles... but with ki, I guess. If you a work out a lot, you get ripped. If you stop maintaining that routine, it all sags away. But later, if you start working out again, you can get the muscle tone back in time. It simply requires maintenance. Oddly fitting for the martial arts theme in DB. Gohans potential seems to work just like that, but spiritually.
So Frieza don't know about BuuTenks! Neither does Granolah! But Gotenks and Majin Buu is Equivocal to The Machine universe. But up until this point, No other form of Majin Buu could stop the Kid Buu. We just saw Uub help to beat Moro, Didn't we? Everybody else did it, but the Kid Uub OVERDID IT! Kid Buu! Confirmed! But I wonder what Buutenks would look like in Dragon Ball Super.

@@isuckatusernames4297 We're only ever told that it doesn't work from self-inflicted wounds (and only by Vegeta). This is allegedly a power all Saiyans have, and they somehow weren't exploiting the hell out of it before the Frieza saga. It seems likely to be a case of unreliable narrator.
What if after the Tornement of destroyers. Beerus asks rhetorically, "Hmmmm, now what should I wish for?" Bulma after seeing how stoic and wistful vegeta was after meeting Cabba says out loud, "Why not Resurrect Planet Vegeta and the sayians" Vegeta darts his gaze a bulma with shock and confusion. Jaco exclaims "Are you crazy!!" Everyone is shocked Except beerus and whis, and goku whom is just confuses and pretty neutral about the idea as he is still thinking about his battle with hit. Beerus ponders the idea, The idea has more attention than normal bc of the recent encounter with Zeno, "A Tornement with all the universes" he thinks 🤔 He says, "Very well, whis go ahead" as to make it seem like hes doing the mortals a favor but is secretly doing it for his own self interests. Jaco nearly has a stroke 😱 Vegeta sweats😳 The wish is made

this is dumb. no one cares about bringing back the planet or the saiyans. Beerus is the one who ordered Freeza to destroy the thing. No way he'd allow it brought back.
I think the ultimate form just puts Gohan at his peak but he can train to make is limite higher like a game where you always at your peace but you get strong the more you train.
Frieza being favored over Cooler because his power was greater than his until Cooler discovered his evolved form is way more interesting than Cooler making no mention of his family at all...
I honestly don’t like that, I think it adds a layer to him and jealousy to him, instead of him just being a character clone of his brother. It also adds to the poetic irony that even though he hates his brother he still falls into the same pit falls and mistakes he makes. Also I like the idea of them having a rivalry with each other akin to goku and vegeta
I have never thought that Kid Buu was the strongest incarnation of Buu. Goku and Vegeta noted that Buu's power dropped substantially after they removed their sons, Piccolo and Fat Buu from inside him. If Goku was really that worried about Kid Buu, then he would've used the Potara to refuse into Vegito again. The Supreme Kai said Kid Buu is the most dangerous one. He blew up Earth without even having any concern for his own survival. He blew up the planet and reformed.
Speaking of myths, one that I never managed to find concrete evidence either way: Was 'Ultimate Gohan' a transformation? The way I understood it, it was just like Guru unlocking his potential on Namek, just turned up to Elder Kai. But many (including some of the canon modern media) treat it like a transformation? On that note, there seems to be a lot of confusion about the 'Ultimate Gohan' form and Super Saiyan. Some say that the Ultimate form gives him max power out of the gate and supplants Super Saiyan. Again, MY understanding was that Gohan stated that he didn't NEED to use Super Saiyan in this state, that this would be enough to beat Buu, continuing the ongoing narrative of Gohans hubris that had first majorly reared its head when he achieved SSJ2 against Cell. Hence how he then got absorbed by the much weaker Buu, because of afore-mentioned hubris. That, at least, has always been my interpretation of the whole 'Ultimate Gohan' thing. I may be wrong, and the modern media seems happy to just make it a shiney new transformation and nothing else (just like Ultra instinct).
Late to the party, just now seeing this and had two outlying thoughts while watching. I personally never felt Kid Buu was stronger, especially with there being visible evidence in the manga and anime in that Goku and Vegeta where not able to fight Super Buu one on one. Though there is suggestion it was to buff up Vegeto's appearance, it wouldn't change the fact that Vegeta held his own against Kid Buu for several minutes. The other thought is, I am confused hearing there are people who believe Gohan is always in his Ultimate state. This is because in both the English manga and anime, immediately after the ritual is complete Gohan asks how to utilize the power and Elder Kai responds rather sarcastically that Gohan goes Super Saiyan often enough that becoming Ultimate isn't that different.
Akira makes characters with potential but them forgets it,i hate that the japonese forget to make familial characters interact organicly,a point of this is Jojo that almost noone in the joestar family interact with each other like family, and now feeza family
Let's not forget too, that when buu absorbed anyone, he not only took on their knowledge and even a bit of their personas, but also their ki & abilities. So, shouldn't this have left buu when they were removed? Yeah, thinking about this, going back to kid buu wouldn't have made him stronger, & the only two reasons that he did so well against goku & vegeta was due to the fact that he was less restrained, & gokus power was burning way too fast. Speaking of which.... It seems perfectly plausible to believe that, at the least, any of gokus natural forms, like ssj, ssj2, & ssj3 Could be mastered. Now i know that with all the god forms these days, this may seem redundant. And yet, look at sdj3 goku vs fat buu & kid buu, & look at how well he did. There just might be something to this...🤔
Kid Buu will always be confusing two interviews. The editor for majin arc called buuhan the strongest Toriyama claim kid buu to be the strongest. Looking at manga an anime kid buu shows to grow as he fights which means his potential is endless BUT buuhan is stronger but as a means of a shortcut, why fight an maybe run into someone stronger even if for just a short moment or worse the have your exact weakness (kid buus being Magic) In the end thou its up to the creator which at this point i think we can agree Toriyama doesnt care or will sweat the small stuff. The man forgot 18 an trunks hair colors and even forgot ssj2 sooo
I always thought son was just Japan's way of calling you Mr.. Goes to show how much I know about japanese culture, which is to say absolutely nothing. Anyway's I've only ever watched the dubbed version where the word son is never even mentioned once. And before anyone says anything, no, I have no plans or intentions of watching the japanese version, I do not enjoy watching subtitles over a language I don't understand.

We know gohan during the Buu arc as Gohan Místico (Mystic) it appears in almost every merchandise you can find, not sure it’s mentioned in the show tho
My screw-up came from mixing up Bojack with the Buu Saga. I thought for some reason that Buu's holding place had been exposed to Babadi because of Goku bringing Cell to King Kai's planet and blowing it up.
*Hears everything about Cooler*
*Has my own little AU about Dragon Ball with its own headcanons*
Aight, I'mma pretend I didn't hear that
The three biggest villains of DragonBall Z are the 3 types of evil from the d&d alignment chart perfectly.
4:17 This is where it gets good. And yea, if any part of Cooler is an integral part of his character, is being Frieza's older brother.
Can we confirm if cold's appearence was in his second or final form? That's one id love to have cleared up
I think we all agree it's his 2nd form; the resemblance to 2nd form Frieza is too close.
Wasn't buu born at the start of the universe or something like that isn't he a force of nature?
"if you use it all the time, It's easier to keep up."
Wow, phrasing.
Thanks I had these things in mind to be confirmed thank you masako
mystic? ultimate? no, he is banghan.
I can respect that
@@MasakoX that's on videls to do list so, change it up?
I know this isn't official but in a fan manga, it's explained that members of Frieza's race are born encased in thick ice. Who then start to go through a thawing period. The longer it takes for them to thaw out the more powerful they can potentially become.
No one knows how many times I argued that Kid Buu was not the strongest version
I've argued for that stance too. Goku wasn't too worried about Kid Buu, which is why he and Vegeta chose to fight him separately instead of fusing again with the Potara earrings, unlike Super Buu who they avoided fighting head-on.
Masakox: Producers and Dubbers were less inclined to keep the original story. Instead choosing to adapt scripts to make it, ......more American.

In the Philippines back in the 90's, someone started something, saying that Chichi was also an alien because her dad was too large to be a normal human
i have an older brother and i allways thought coller was just a douch of a big brother but still cared for his family
Wasn't it established that Necron was either a manifestation of or summoned by Kuja's rage and despair?
I always thought Kid Buu was the strongest Buu based on how much trouble he gave me in Budokai 2 & 3.
In that case Frieza (not golden) xenoverse 2 is the most powerful being.
Even with higher level the prick kick my human and majin butt.
People bitching about Gohan "losing the Ultimate form in Gt" only for Super to come around and do the same thing. Personally I like to hold the dub as a completely separate entity from the Japanese version. Like Robotech vs Macross. Have your cake and eat it too or so they say.
Well he got it back in Super with training
3:23 Krillin: "What a bummer. So there really is no Frieza's mom."
Roshi with the blue water always made me think he was drinking soap or something, it always looked wrong.
What if Vegeta didnt remover buu from súper buu? Would the story change un súper?
So THAT is why you keep saying why the Frieza Race reproduces through cloning! I was always so confused why you kept bringing it up.
Kid Buu might be the most DANGEROUS Buu, but he certainly isn't the powerful.
Regarding Gohan's Potential Unleashed power- couldn't accessing the power just be a function of the normal powering up anybody does? It's not like everyone else goes around with their full power on either. Likewise, if anybody else stopped training their power would presumably atrophy as well.
MASAKOOO
Do a what if scenario with Broly in DBZ pleeeease. I do have an idea. What if Bulma, Gohan and Krillin landed on Vampa instead of "fake Namek". But if you have a better scenario, by all means!
On the topic of headcanon, or what I infer based off of implication at least, is that Super Saiyan Rose in the manga is just an equivalent of SSB in terms of how the power is obtained (that being SSG + SSJ) since he uses SSJ1 and 2 before he's implied to even know how to use SSJ Rose while in the anime it's just his version of SSJ but it has the power boost of SSB because he has God Ki without needing SSG
I also love the concept done by Hyourinjutsu that all SSJ forms, canon or not, are connected in some form or another. For example SSJ Rage is a powered up version of SSJ2, LSSJ (Or Full Power SSJ in DBS) is the 'mastered' version of the standard Super Saiyan Form, and other things like that
Nobody's perfect, *Points to Cell.*
you know it's possible that Frieza's race might still reproduce sexually and only Frieza was created from cloning. it seems like something King cold might do to create a suitable heir (and make sure he strong)
Now THIS is a well researched and though out video.
Seeing an old DBZ card from score in the thumbnail took me back
I've honestly been confused about the Ultimate Gohan form after rewatching the series a few years ago. In my youth I misread the sub as saying "Don't bother with using super saiyan, it's deprived..." Which gave me the impression that he has had all of his potential drawn out into his base form, and doesn't need to transform anymore... this is reinforced by him... well... not using a transformation that would make him much more powerful... but when rewatching I found out the actual sentence is "Don't bother with that super saiyan thing, it's depraved..."
... so is it a chaotic and unseemly power that Elder Kai just dislikes, and Gohan has chosen not to use, or is it a needless power that Gohan is learning how to circumvent in order to maximize ki efficiency? Or is it a mix of both?
What episode did old kai say this?
@@eternal1832 He said it right after he finished unlocking Gohan's full potential, and Gohan powered up. Right before Gohan went back to Earth to fight Super Buu. Can't look up episode number off-hand.
@@Tangent_Pixel I can't see him saying this anywhere. Maybe rewatch the scene? It was from episode 262.
We all know that Bulma's last name is Enchanto
Surprised you didn’t bring up how there’s no Surname’s in dragon ball. Like Briefs isn’t a last name, it’s just his name. Same with Gero despite being a doctor. The only reason Videl even learns Gohan’s identity as great Saiyaman is because him and Goku both have the Son surname which makes them stand out amongst the greater world
He did bring it up, it was one of the four mythes he talked about.
Cooler was a real brother, yay.
Woah. So Vegeta's last name is actually Prince? Amazing.
I’m gonna go watch all the movies subbed now
That may be true but Cooler kind of isn't cannon though but I agree he probably doesn't hate Freeza but was more annoyed by his bratty behavior
My head canon was that Cooler was completing with his brother, trying to take over more planets

sayian can't get zenkais from self inflicted wounds, yet Cell after blowing himself up, got a power boost.
so maybe that part is an "upgrade" of that part of the namekias
@@isuckatusernames4297 We're only ever told that it doesn't work from self-inflicted wounds (and only by Vegeta). This is allegedly a power all Saiyans have, and they somehow weren't exploiting the hell out of it before the Frieza saga. It seems likely to be a case of unreliable narrator.
I knew Briefs wasn't Bulma's last name but I WANT IT TO BE DAMN IT. Toriyama please.
What if after the Tornement of destroyers. Beerus asks rhetorically, "Hmmmm, now what should I wish for?"
Bulma after seeing how stoic and wistful vegeta was after meeting Cabba says out loud, "Why not Resurrect Planet Vegeta and the sayians"
Vegeta darts his gaze a bulma with shock and confusion. Jaco exclaims "Are you crazy!!"
Everyone is shocked Except beerus and whis, and goku whom is just confuses and pretty neutral about the idea as he is still thinking about his battle with hit. Beerus ponders the idea, The idea has more attention than normal bc of the recent encounter with Zeno, "A Tornement with all the universes" he thinks 🤔
He says, "Very well, whis go ahead" as to make it seem like hes doing the mortals a favor but is secretly doing it for his own self interests.

I see... So in the end Freezer was Cooler and Cooler was Freezer...
I can still hear tfs goku in his regular voice

Well Briefs family is used on all fandoms etc, so yeah...
buh-but muhh guidebooks!
The editor for majin arc called buuhan the strongest
Toriyama claim kid buu to be the strongest.
Looking at manga an anime kid buu shows to grow as he fights which means his potential is endless BUT buuhan is stronger but as a means of a shortcut, why fight an maybe run into someone stronger even if for just a short moment or worse the have your exact weakness (kid buus being Magic)
In the end thou its up to the creator which at this point i think we can agree Toriyama doesnt care or will sweat the small stuff.
Why did kid buu have the most stamina and endurance of all the buu's though?
To be fair, the early dubs didn't always necessarily have access to the original Japanese scripts.
