- If Broly had been spotted by Whis sooner, would that lead to Goku's future rival to tread a different path in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Super? Here's the full story.
Instead of just simply talking about Broly replacing Beerus, I wanted to take it in a direction where the arrival or discovery of Broly would be something of interest to the angel and his cat. Itd be so hype if this is how Super broly gets his Z armor and bracelets- not as shackles but as ornaments and symbols of his ascension to godhood.
My favorite part about your "'What Ifs" are all of the small details you consider. Broly's jealousy never even crossed my mind. It's those little considerations that elevate these stories to a whole new level!!

Whis has contributed more to Broly as a father than Paragis ever could.
This is the best spin on broly's origin I've ever heard. to some degree it makes me wish it was the original plot line.
Though imagine if Whis didn't have his angelic power how would he raise him.

I don't see any reason why we need to have them as characters. Truth be told, Gine is kind of pointless a character too and adds little if anything to the series. After all, we also don't know who Yamcha's or Krillin's parents are. Why single out Broly and Vegeta not having mother's when other characters don't have either parent exist?

@@Esperisreal Why? Bardock's special didn't show Goku's mother, and it was perfectly fine. We've seen flashbacks to Vegeta's father with no mention of the mother and it was fine. Chi Chi's father is a character and as far as I'm aware we haven't even really had more than a mention of if her mother is alive.

In my opinion it would make more sense for her to be a quiet saiyan, that turned out to be amazingly strong when she was angry. It would explain Broly's lack of self control when he too gets angry, even in his base form

18:53 Nah, about on the dot as to what I'd expect, despite how nice he acts to the main cast, Whis is pretty cold, only acting unprofessionally at the prospect of Earth's exceptionally good food. I was more or less expecting him to just leave paragus to be depressed knowing his son was taken rather than the mercy of making him forget so he won't have that aching pain.

Paragus will someday be more vital to story, so far he's barely been a side character to other side characters. It's like he's a side character squared and some how even less relevant, it's honestly amazing when I see him last more then 15 minutes in any story.

Who knew that I needed universe seven resident angel to be a member of CPS, oh, sorry, the angel actually helps kids, so basically what CPS wishes they were
This was a....very simple story. Didn't regret listening to it. Just that...I'm sure other people have made what-ifs on this and probably ended up making Ultra God Saiyan King Emperor Broly or something as some sensationalist gimmick. But this, is the opposite of that. This is probably what most people would assume would happen with very little liberties taken. "What if Broly was taken by gods?" "They would train him to be one." "But what about his anger?" "He would eventually grow past that." Except in this case, Goku was used for that aaaand he was pretty temporary. Stakes are fleeting because Broly is, rightfully so, extrememly strong after being a abnormally born powerhouse training with the most powerful being for decades.
I mean, if this is just setup for the future things planned, apparently with Whis' decision making in a future video, then cool. Maybe Champa's replacement Hit is also a factor. But just talking about this story, I guess this is just a story of hubris. But I think there's so much of it, it's difficult to humanize the people we're following and makes the characterization less potent. I mean trauma is kind of a humanizing thing in a way but, Beerus' traumatized state is solved with his bosses telling him they don't care and put your last 2 weeks in before you're fired like the Hit What-If or erased I guess.
I'll sit here and say I think my personal gripe with the story could've been solved with Shin having more time in this. Don't get me wrong. Shin had a dumb plan when it came to Buu and held back information at the worst times. But he did clearly care. Broly interacting more with Shin before Beerus woke up would give give a decent contrast to what Beerus and Whis were like. They were both kind of thrusted into their positions and experienced the loss of their respective people. Not even necessarily bringing Paragus up, just familiarity in people like them being wiped out and they're the only ones left, but are burdened with great responsibility. And I get that Shin is the literal opposite of a destroyer god. I get that. But he's also the guy Broly would be linked with for potentially eons. Knowing Shin, knowing how to protect Shin because he's an easy target, is vital. Maybe Broly needed to just learn lessons himself? Except Shin's telepathy is the only reason he did calm down and...idk.
But if we are talking about inferiority complexes here, I feel like the Paragus thing needed to come to a head. Broly stood his ground and established himself in the face of even Beerus. He is a benevolent but firm god now. But it will always linger that Whis was manipulating him after that Paragus thing, making it seem like less of his choice from the viewer's perspective. Kinda making him a puppet to a degree.

Not gonna lie, i didn't like how whis took Broly. He knew paragas couldn't handle broly so he left them in the worst conditions possible to see how they would react? Yeah just on premise alone i don't rock with this. Paragas never had a chance.

Aside from the future timeline everything here ended off far better than canon, getting rid of a bad god

So only Battle of Gods happened in some way not truely involving the Z Fighters and a blink and you'll miss it version of the Goku Black arc?
This sounds like the GT universe.
No SSG or SSB for Goku and Vegeta, no other universes, no more "future" Trunks, no Frieza revival, no ToP, no Moro and Grand Supreme Kai intervention, no Granola or Heeters getting involved, no Meerus, no UI, no UE, no Jaco, no Cell Max, no Beast mode, no orange Piccolo and no Pilaf gang as children...that we know of.
Super Saiyan 4 could be Goku's interpretation of what he seen and felt from Broly's SSG hence the red fur. He finally attained his own version of that power.

i was enjoying it until the god ritual. that isnt how it works, otherwise vegeta would have become the god. they had chosen goku specifically, and they pooled his energy into him, he wasnt doing anything himself. so broly would not have become the ssg.

I know what if the sayins used Earth as a dumping ground for their absolute weakest offspring similar to what the Spartans did with their weakest offspring similar to what throwing them away like garbage and it's for making Earth have sayings before Goku. But still Goku when he arrives on Earth he's still the strongest sayin the planet, and buy that some of them are sayings, such as Bulma and krillin, Chichi and Mr Satan is a half sayin. Let's tell the events how they'd actually go if their crap writing continues in the same direction it has been going for the past few years: Beerus & Whis find Broly. They train Broly to use divine energy and tap into UI and/or UE. Broly steamrolls over everyone because the DB room doesn't know how to properly and correctly power scale anyone/anything to save their life. The end.
