Grew up on it but cannot eat it now, loved it then and wish I could eat but it actually makes me sick or at least feel sick. Cannot eat anything filled with sodium, preservatives and msg, though it may not be on the label...or labeled as natural flavors...haha!!
The last time I tried to eat their soup, it had something yummy slimy in it!! All I could think of was hearing they was putting baby parts in Campbell’s soups and I threw up what I had in my mouth and I said I would never try it again! I just hope I never find out that they did and not tell anyone!!

Campbell's soups have MSG in most of them. If you like headaches, diarrhea and vomiting. Eat up. Soup it like the easiest thing to make homemade, why would you buy soup?
😎When Campbell's Soup goes on sale, it ALWAYS is only the same 4 basic varieties. Always those same 4. I would love to buy some of the other varieties occasionally, but I find them much too expensive. I wished they would vary what goes on sale, and honestly I think that should also make better business sense for the company as well. 😎Another big issue I have, is that in many years I have no longer seen family size cans. Who wants to open 3 or 4 cans of the exact same product when preparing dinner?? One 28 oz. can should be more cost effective, then several of exact the same thing, because packaging does have a cost as well. 🤔 I hope the famous soup company looks into both issues.
when I was a kid in the 60s we found worms and other things in the soup. wasn't the noodle, they were worms. and I remember finding a big black feather in the bottom of van camps pork and beans, my opinion is the low sodium soup is bland and not as good.
When i was a kid, my uncle a farmer had a large hen egg business. He told me that when a chicken dies, he leaves it in a box at the door and Campbells comes to pik it up and uses it in their chicken noodle soup !!! I never eat the meat. Goes to the dog.
yes campbells is good but condensed soup is not the biggest mover any more because people are buying water at the stores, so progresso has got them beat I'm sure the water that they put in is better than a lot of cities water with all the chemicals in it . so even that i have excellent water i switched to progresso but the wife still uses the condensed soup for cooking . i tell people i remember when campbells had turtle soup people find that hard to believe . i guess i started to like progresso because they have a better selection . but the best is new england clam chowder from the dollar store and they had a can of clams for a buck mix the two together clam juice and all and wow what a treat . the clams are from the USA .
Why even buy it? Soup is easy and fairly quick to make. When I was a child Campbells chicken noodle actually had some chicken and a little vegetables, now it's noodles and some fake broth.
.....all meat stinks ...when the packaging is first opened , I have to let it sit in open air , so I can bear the smell...I must have super olfactory ends , for everything stinks to me ..yet , I hear people say they can't smell anything .
Never once was Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) mentioned. Campbell's Healthy Request line doesn't contain MSG; therefore, but the rest of their soups still do. Every other brand (Progresso, Cento, Bar Harbor + +) do not contain that chemical, thankfully.
A couple of "why's". Why do I get an excruciating headache after regular Campbell's Soup, Hidden Valley Ranch dressing, flavored potato chips and anything else with MSG? Why did Campbells create "Healthy Request" without MSG which I DO enjoy?
@@leogeee1 even if it can cause headaches it doesn't mean it's dangerous at all. It could also be a placebo affect or the salt content can also cause it.
Campbell soups were affordable back in the day's.. I go cheaper brands for a long time now..I can't afford the price the stores are asking for.. no other brands can ever match up to Campbell soup..but I just deal with it.
Mushroom soup is my favorite and I use it in a lot of dishes. someone mentioned Progresso Soup, IMO it is awful, all broth and very little noodles and chicken.

Grace was a female cartoonist in an time that females were not accepted in the newspapers. Ladies Home Journal published her "art works". Her works were shown in major international shows. A single art work today will sell for thousands of dollars.
The formula for Campbell soup was based on the creator of the product. You mean the original had lots of MSG, and enough salt to drive your blood pressure through the roof, which to say the least is very bad for your body ?
You did not mention that Campbell uses monosodium in almost all their soups. Exception is tomato soup which I noticed you featured the most. Because of the MSG I cannot eat Campbell soup.
When Campbell's soup lowered their sodium in their soup, the sales plummeted. So they put more sodium back in! First, was this a marketing error? Why did they think telling people there is less sodium in their soups would make people buy more, when people today buy most things, based upon taste ! ? Yeah I get they thought most people that buy soup would want a healthier soup, but NO! THEN, here's the catch 22 for Campbells..., People then sued them for having to much sodium in their soup! You can't win, I guess!

I would like to have a fresh taste & see fresh herbs & avoid sodium completely in Campbell's soup. It has been over 3/4 of a century since this delicious product has been a staple on my menu. The recipe's are also a delight to make. Continue great success for TOMATO SOUP FROM CAMPBELL'S !!!💞
You left out monosodium glutamate (MSG) in many of their soups.
@voitdive MSG bad for health that's what.
@voitdive it has been linked to headaches, and allergic reactions, among other things. I'm not going to go into detail.....look it up!
@voitdive Enjoy your MSG dude, I will pass.
Grew up on it but cannot eat it now, loved it then and wish I could eat but it actually makes me sick or at least feel sick. Cannot eat anything filled with sodium, preservatives and msg, though it may not be on the label...or labeled as natural flavors...haha!!
I have an antique campbells soup bowl and soup spoon from the 60's
The last time I tried to eat their soup, it had something yummy slimy in it!! All I could think of was hearing they was putting baby parts in Campbell’s soups and I threw up what I had in my mouth and I said I would never try it again! I just hope I never find out that they did and not tell anyone!!
You never heard that. You're making it all up. STOP!
Watch their steak and potato soup they treated me like I was stupid when I called customer service there was a worm in the piece of my steak sticking out and they asked me where I stored it at and everything then they're going to try to send me coupons for free soup when I won't touch their product anymore a worm in it and for them to treat me like I was stupid through customer service Campbell's can keep their product
This is amazing information!!
Remember when Campbells said 5 years ago they were going to remove MSG from their soups well guess what it’s been 5 years and they still haven’t.
I’m by eating a chicken soup one right now lol thanks Campbell’s !
Heres one for the sodium police. When you eat out, you're consuming 3× the amount of sodium than you get in a can of Campbells.
The fact that it's basically a pokeball
Thanks for the info. No more V8, Pace, etc. for me now that I know they are Campbell products.
Yeah just keep eating that stuff don’t complain when you have congestive heart failure
Campbell's soups have MSG in most of them. If you like headaches, diarrhea and vomiting. Eat up. Soup it like the easiest thing to make homemade, why would you buy soup?
It is adequate for the purpose if one is in a hurry. I never eat canned soup myself, and do not cook with it either.
😱
I remember growing up, their line of frozen soups.
I still use cream of mushroom when I make my chicken noodle dish.
Pepper Pot awesome, hard to find!
It has GMO ingredients
I have trouble finding the tomato soup in Japan, though other versions are popular. I wonder if Japanese don't really like the tomato soup?
Why even buy it? Soup is easy and fairly quick to make. When I was a child Campbells chicken noodle actually had some chicken and a little vegetables, now it's noodles and some fake broth.
One of the stinkingest places I had the pleasure to pick up when I drove otr. But I love the chicken noodel in the red & white can.
.....all meat stinks ...when the packaging is first opened , I have to let it sit in open air , so I can bear the smell...I must have super olfactory ends , for everything stinks to me ..yet , I hear people say they can't smell anything .
I've heard that the chicken used in their soups is imported from China.
I never add *SALT* so I must get all the salt from the food I eat and drink
Never once was Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) mentioned. Campbell's Healthy Request line doesn't contain MSG; therefore, but the rest of their soups still do. Every other brand (Progresso, Cento, Bar Harbor + +) do not contain that chemical, thankfully.
Msg is sctuslly perfectly safe for humans. Everything natural and synthetic has chemicals.
Wow! Are you a lawyer for Campbells?
@@leogeee1 no I'm 19 so no lol never met a 19 year old lawyer
Campbell soups were affordable back in the day's.. I go cheaper brands for a long time now..I can't afford the price the stores are asking for.. no other brands can ever match up to Campbell soup..but I just deal with it.
Mushroom soup is my favorite and I use it in a lot of dishes. someone mentioned Progresso Soup, IMO it is awful, all broth and very little noodles and chicken.
"A pound 16 bucket". You do know that # means number too, as in Number 16 can?
only two flavours in the philippines chiken and mushroom
I still have the Campbell's stormtrooper can sealed
From what I have read there's too much salt in the soup. I have not purchased Campbell's soup in over 20 years. It's not healthy anymore. Plus they add MSG which is really bad for your health.
Hey, Mashed, what's going on at Bon Appetit?
All canned soup is bad. You can make a gallon of soup for the cost of a couple of cans.
Refined salt is not good!
Grace was a female cartoonist in an time that females were not accepted in the newspapers. Ladies Home Journal published her "art works". Her works were shown in major international shows. A single art work today will sell for thousands of dollars.
I agree home made is better
The formula for Campbell soup was based on the creator of the product. You mean the original had lots of MSG, and enough salt to drive your blood pressure through the roof, which to say the least is very bad for your body ?
I love Campbell's Chunky Vegibale Beef, and Chunky Chicken Tortilla.
You did not mention that Campbell uses monosodium in almost all their soups. Exception is tomato soup which I noticed you featured the most. Because of the MSG I cannot eat Campbell soup.
Whats wrong with msg?
When Campbell's soup lowered their sodium in their soup, the sales plummeted. So they put more sodium back in! First, was this a marketing error? Why did they think telling people there is less sodium in their soups would make people buy more, when people today buy most things, based upon taste ! ? Yeah I get they thought most people that buy soup would want a healthier soup, but NO! THEN, here's the catch 22 for Campbells..., People then sued them for having to much sodium in their soup! You can't win, I guess!
Campbell's was probably hoping that the lower sodium soups would bring in a more health conscious customer base.
