In the settings, you can change the response to the Nazi “halt” order to submissive. That way you can use 1 of your guys to get caught on purpose while the another one of your men knife that solder in the back.
this was a lifesaver in the zoo level in btcod, distract the machine gunners with the spy, get the driver caught while the green beret goes behind and knocks them out... and then sends them into the lion pit >:)

Before recording each mission, I spent a day or two experimenting with different strategies and doing dry runs. I probably could have done this particular mission a bit more efficiently with some more practice, though. I didn't put quite as much effort into my Behind Enemy Lines videos as I did with Beyond the Call of Duty.
I'm sorry but how the heck are you able to knife all 3 guys at 3:18? Even if it's just two as soon as I gut on the other immediately turns around and shoots me...
No matter how many times i play exactly as it is shown here in this video, the soldiers still manage to blow up the truck when it comes to rescue us in the end. They come out of the barracks so fast and there are just too many of them. There is just no way escaping those many bullets. But here in this video the truck seems to be bullet proof.
+torquehero for me, when i manage to get all of my men in the car and the "cinematic" starts, the truck becomes bulletproof. however if i get 2 men in and the third is just approaching, they blow it up in a second.
They're blowing up my escape truck. Can't complete this mission. Anyone else having the same problem? It's not the machine gunner who's blowing up my truck. The Green Beret already killed him. Its the enemy troops hiding in the fortress who are blowing up my truck after i've destroyed the cannon. :=(

your commandos looks way easier than my. when Im playing I can not leave my soldiers in the dark green area of vision. they see me and the alarm starts. If I use de sniper to the machine gun, the alarm starts too. nice video congratulations
If the guy's are in the dark green cone of vision, they will only not be seen if they are lying down. If they are standing up, they will be seen. In the lighter green cone of vision, they will be seen regardless of standing or lying down. Make sure they're lying down if they're in the dark green cone of vision and they'll be fine.
Wykletypl I'm not entirely sure what you mean by northern way. The map is divided by walls and barbed wire for the most part, so the only way to get to the other side is through the southern area. Still, it's certainly not necessary to destroy the SDKFZ, though. I quickly played the mission the way you suggested and placed the bomb on the barracks instead. I realized that you don't even have to worry about most of the regular soldiers that way, as they won't be able to destroy the truck in time with their rifles.
Spek By the northern way I meant sticking to the upper part of the mission map as long as possible, completely missing the southern complex, killing only those who would disturb completing the objective
It detracts from immersion in the game when vehicles become impervious to weapons fire when in a cutscene. Had it been gameplay, the escape truck would have exploded. It scarcely matters because the game is great in any case - even now in 2019.
A crappy game, a disaster..first of all, the alarm didn't go off when the dynamite was detonated, which I think is 100% fake..and then the soldiers fired 1000 cartridges into the truck and it didn't explode, what makes me so I think it's a game defect or 100% fake. Every time I play this round, the alarm starts from the smallest sound and regarding the escape truck, it explodes from the first 20 cartridges...

2:28 - I never realized that Green Beret can climb the wall there - I was struggling with climbing the ladder in proper time :D
The very first mission shows you that Green Beret can climb most walls and areas that seem accessable.
Who else just select all your men and spam gunshot to lure enemies and Quick save + Quick load until you kill them all without losing too much health?
I did that as a kid. But right now that I'm playing the game again, I prefer a more tactical approach.

Keep them behind the rock and as soon as the truck comes, select all and run as fast as possible inside. Once all are inside, truck won't die
@@MrSaileshdk I blew up the fortress. Killed all the enemies that were hiding inside. Then escaped with ease.
Norway would literally be the last place the WW2 Germans would deploy a railroad gun.
Hmm, good analysis. Dismantling that gun from the European mainland and then bringing it to Norway would be a bit expensive and time wasting.
