North Country Trail | 2023 Hike 8 - 100 Mile Challenge | 1st Backpacking Trip! Manistee Natl Forest

For my final miles of the Hike 100 Mile NCT Challenge, I went on my very first backpacking trip. 3-days/2-nights in Manistee National Forest between Upper Branch Bridge and Nichols Lake North Trailhead. It was a great first experience with nearly perfect weather, and I learned a lot. I think I might be hooked. ;)

Good for you!! Weather looked awesome! 3 days and 2 nights is respectable. Just got off a section hike on the AT. It broke me. I guess it's back to plodding away on our Michigan favorite: NCT.
