North Country Trail | 2023 Hike 17 | Kalkaska/Mancelona

November 2023. We journeyed back to the Kalkaska area and hiked south to Guernsey Lake Campground and connected our miles there. The next day, we started north of Kalkaska at Pickerel Lake State Forest Campground and hiked north to Starvation Lake Road. The weather was glorious for both of these days. We saw such beauty, including a bald eagle and lovely Eagle Lake. Didn't see the eagle at Eagle Lake, though. :) Thanks for coming along with us on our hike. Hope you enjoy!

Lydia and I watched this together as I tucked her in to bed. She said "Dani Krista looks like she is 30 years old." I said she has a daughter and son that are adults and is a Grandmother too. She then said " She sure looks young." She reminded me again how these videos relax her. She loved that I shared one of her jokes on the video.
