Any young fighter getting into MMA should study Yair Rodriguez. His all round game is so well balanced and he is a fantastic martial artist. His style isn’t quite as unorthodox as it first seems, it’s just a finely tuned unique style but super tricky for any opponent. Great fighter.

@@user-ee1je2ds9s it sure is. Some people are just naturally bendy people but you’re right, to maintain those kinds of kicks and aerial attacks stretching is a massive part of training, more so in his warm up routine I’d imagine. It’s going to be a banger this fight.

Honestly at this point given their resumes, idk why anyone bets against Volk. I like Yair, he’s a great fighter, but there are levels and Alex is a step above everyone in that division. He’ll prove it again. Reason he’s a 4:1 favorite, and it’s not because people are stupid

Saud is an excellent video analyzer. Absolutely the best breakdown of film I have ever seen. I thought, well I get some of this breakdown. I was riveted, jaw hanging for the whole breakdown. The absolute best I have ever seen. This Sayif Saud is the best I have ever seen.
Yair is extremely crafty. If he is on his game, I expect him to get the upset. But it feels strange to bet against Volk. Gonna be a ridiculous fight

Volk has crazy footwork and never stays still. Yair was landing on a stationary Emmett without lateral movement.

My man is the American equivalent of Dan Hardy on these breakdowns.
Strikes from Volk are very similars than the ones Fedor used to do, very little risk on each punch since they make themselves smaller while throwing punches.

Yair won round 5 vs Max & Zombie. His cardio shouldnt be an issue. I think Volk will control the fight but get caught at some point. An upkick from the bottom, or front kick on the feet, tko
His cardio won’t be great once volk out wrestles him for most of the fight. Volk is far too strong and smart and has a far better gas tank than Yair

im a huge fan of yair, but volk is just too tanky. his like a bulldog, the way he just walks people down. its hard to see anything stopping that.
Styles make fights. Yair got the style with long kicks and very good off his back but does he have it in the trenches. Punching range, grappling dimension is the big question mark. Eventually Volk got what it takes to block and close distance. He not going to be intimidated by standing static taking kicks for too long. Fascinating match up. Excellent bet to risk on Yair. He will be the underdog. Yair a straight up Ninja. Nobody can pull the stuff he does. I know someone else like that. Outlier

The only problem is that Volks doesn't go for the finish, so it gives Rodriguez 25mins to set up a knockout.
@@zoheir1162 no yair has two rounds that’s it. Anything longer plays into volks hands. Volk is too strong, too smart, too technical and has a bugger gas tank. The longer it goes it’s just going to be a long night for yair. Yair has only the kick as his main weapon. Volk will shut that down easily
