I wept when TV news showed the devastation. Losing one's home, pets, wildlife. Human lives lost. It's heartbreaking. Prayers being sent, along with water-bombers from Canada. Bless you all.
You're right, this is no laughing matter. We need to pray for these people. No matter who you are, the loss is heartbreaking. I'm praying for them all 🙏 ❤️ 🙏
Remember rich or poor your home is the place to go to for rest and comfort. Prayers to all who have lost homes. Prayeres and comfort to those who have lost loved ones.
Living in Colorado we saw this first hand with the Marshall fire in 2021 where over 1000 homes were lost. Just heartbreaking. Prayers for everyone affected.
Its not only rich people effected. I lost everything in the Eaton Canyon fire... I live in a normal working-class neighborhood with mostly blue-collar people
They aren't all rich, a lot of people have had those homes for many years from when home prices were reasonable. They will never have enough money to rebuild. Many in CA lost their insurance because of all the fires and mismanagement of forests and water resources. All of our home insurance has risen across the nation because of all these disasters. Yes, it's disgusting to ever laugh at the tragedy of others. A woman on twitter said horrible things about actor James Woods because he is a conservative and not a liberal. Come on people, we can do better and he happier by being kind and helpful to one another. Don't be led by these grifters who make money by dividing us. Hugs and prayers to all of those suffering in Cali.
Couldn't agree more. Prayers to all the people. My heart goes out to all of them. Newsom should resign. There is no excuse for his mismanagement of crucial water supply. I feel so bad for the fire fighters. Hands tied without water. The most crucial need for survival and he says nah? The insanity. It's horrific.
How horrible that people would loot these properties and even worse, think that someone deserves this… I will be praying for the hearts of those so hardened as much as I am praying for those who are living through this horror. I live 45 min from an area devastated by Helene and such destruction is awful to experience.
Amber, there is a guy whose home did not burn, he has his own fire fighting equipment that uses swimming pool water. He hooked it up before he was evacuated and it saved his home. I don’t know all the details but the video is on UA-cam. He actually saved several homes.
I'm glad that PREPPER PRINCESS decided to create and share this video with us. Why does anybody believe the fake-news anymore? Why do I want to hear much about evil leftist celebrities? I gave up watching TV even before the plan-demic. The TV is a liar and messes with your mind. Us regular people matter also. I am here because of Prepper Princess, as I have already watched many of her videos. If we must blame somebody, why not blame the usual suspects? Blame the government weather modification. At least it is a far better theory than the incredibly hokey "climate change" cultists.
Absolutely agree, Prepper Princess. Being rich doesn’t insulate you from the pain and mental anguish of losing a home to fire or another natural disaster.
We had a huge fire here in SC in 2009. I woke up at 2:00 a.m. to hear a bullhorn saying to evacuate. Outside there were burning embers flying over the house and landing on the lawns. Our section of the development (2,500 homes at the time) didn't sustain damage, but many houses were lost. Luckily, no lives were lost. I remember picking things to take. Hotels here (we're in Myrtle Beach area) put us up for as many nights as we needed, the pancake house stayed open and fed us. We were so blessed. So, I can empathize somewhat although the LA situation is much worse. Prayers for all.
I'm very sad about what is going on. I have friends in LA area. So far, they are okay. It's amazing to me how short sighted the gov't can be. And how caught up in red tape they are. Continued prayers for your state. I hope you have a better governor in the future.
That was a very good example, the 90 year old couple who bought their bungalow inexpensively in 1940's Los Angeles, and can't get homeowner's insurance. If it burns, they lose everything. The fire issue makes me appreciate houses with absolutely zero trees and bushes. The older the neighborhood, the more likely it is very dense with trees, vines, and bushes. Your home is your safe place, a place of comfort, no matter if it's worth 10 million, or 100 thousand.
We are right in the thick of it, it's not just ppl with money. Thousands now homeless being evacuated. Hotels are booked, business' are closed. I'm self employed and I'm losing 1000s. I have a client in my house right now who had nowhere to go work. Ppl with the $ will recover, rebuild, get lawyers and new cars...but us little guys won't 😥 Thank God I listened to PP and I have saved cash because even our banks are closed with no power.
There was only one house in an neighborhood of Pacific Palisades that was saved. That was because the property had a pool they could get the water out of. There was no water in the water hydrants. True report.
I live in Southern California but not near the fire areas. It is scary to see so much destruction in such a short time. Southern California will never be the same. Just the removal of all of the burned debris is going to take a very long time. Plus some of those houses were very old and probably still had asbestos. That makes it a hazmat scene. Prayers to the first responders, dispatchers and everyone connected to emergency services. Prayers for the families who have lost everything
I 💯 agree with you on all of this and am so sorry for the immense losses of homes and personal belongings, pets, and people, of course! I do hope they get in under control. Prayers for grace, mercy, and coverage for 1st responders and their safety. I can only imagine the devastating after effects of loss like this, and people need compassion 💔 🙏🏼💙 Thank you for not interjecting too much political emphasis in this video. As we know, it rains on the just and injust. I hope rain comes to southern California right now! ❤ ~Lisa
Also I should say how much I appreciate you mentioning animals - of course I care about people however in every disaster I worry about the animals . Usually people and children will be helped somehow 🤞but animals will not. We watch every episode - thanks for all you do ❤
Water resource management is something that needs to be done on an organizational level, personal action can't solve it. I understand the "without water" was due to pressure dropping when all the hydrants were being used. Not planning for instances of massive demand is on the same level as having the backup power supply sitting next to the primary power supply, which is what caused the Fukushima disaster when the tsunami destroyed both in the same instant. Planning for disaster is a lesson learned the hard way, and paid for by the innocent local residents in both situations.
When I was young I always thought I wanted to live in California. I have pretty clear memories going to Disneyland in 1980 when I was 4. Even though my mom's family are Texas natives her parents briefly lived in Los Angeles back in the 1940's when my grandfather worked for Southern Pacific Railroad. He loved it. My grandmother didn't like it. So, they moved back to Texas. But I have distant relatives who I don't know that live somewhere around Bakersfield. It's really a shame the crime, ridiculous cost of living, taxes, over regulations, laws & just the societal aspects in that state are a major obstacle of many people choosing to live there. If I could go back in time to the 1950's or even the 80's and live there, I'd be there in a heartbeat. I just don't understand how the people running that state can so willfully destroy a place that was & should still be paradise.
The pets being killed really upsets me. Can’t imagine losing my beloved pup like that. I hope things get sorted as soon as possible so people can rebuild their lives.
It's awful that you have to remind ppl to have empathy but it's also very warranted under our current social amd emotional situation. So sad. Prayers for all.
It's so sad. I can barely watch the news stories. I left L.A. in 2009 and then went back a couple of years ago to visit. So many people are living on the streets and in RVs. It's really sad that housing has to be so impossible in this country. Everyone should have food, clothing and a place to live. Without a place to live, all dignity is lost. I purchased a 1987 home in southern AZ last April. Paid for home insurance and after 2 months, they cancelled due to the condition of my roof, which I didn't think was really that bad and haven't had the money to replace it yet. I'm without home insurance too so I can totally empathize with anyone losing their home, especially those who have lived there so long, have their home paid off and retired and then all the sudden everything is taken away in a matter of minutes and one must start over. I don't know if that's even possible and how people do it.
My son is on a business trip there and he can see the flames. We live in N.C. and have been saddened by what Helene has done here even though we were not effected. These disasters are so sad. I am praying for everyone there.
Praying for Firefighters and Everyone in this fire's path! 💔🙏 Terrified, injured pets and wildlife scrambling, too. 🥺 The wind is crazy, and other fires are likely. Be Safe where you are! 💕
Make no mistake, we are all going to pay higher home owners insurance rates because of the hurricanes and now the Southern California fires. Yes, including renters, your rents are going up because the landlords costs are going up and landlords aren’t charities…

People are saying they were told to get out of their cars and run for their lives. Another man said he was told he could come back for his pet and he wasn't allowed. Another 94 yr old man was left alone because his caretaker was told to leave and no one knew he was in the house. Luckily, his neighbor went and looked for him. I suspect there are far worse stories to come. It must feel like the end of the world for all of those poor people!
