I remember a few years back I came up with my own little internalised achievements list for this game (not sure I ever wrote it down), so it's cool that this is a thing! I've also kicked Marge all the way to the Kwik-E-Mart before. On the PS2 version. Where she kept despawning in a smaller radius than here on PC. It took a while. Don't question it.
Note that these are for the PS2 version of the game, the GameCube version has different achievements like completing Fat and Furious with Plow King, completing Monkey See Monkey D'oh with 2;20+ on the timer, Alien 'Auto'topsy I with Duff Truck, and talking to every NPC in under 7 min 37 sec
Can someone please explain to me how in the hell is that RetroAchievements thing actually tracking? Like how did the game know that he kicked Marge to the kwik-e-mart? Does it read frames and look for certain pixels or something? I first thought this was just people that came together to design achievements. But I thought you would have to track it yourself, but no. That's so cool. But how do they do it?
It reads the game's memory addresses directly and pops an achievement when they're a certain value. For example each mission's completion will change its specific memory address to mark it as complete in the game, and the RetroAchievements module will read that and send it to RA's servers.
Is this running on the PC version of the game? I thought Retro Achievements only worked on emulators? Edit: Just watched the VOD, praise random Gitlab links
Do you happen to have the link? I can't find the VOD you're on about and there's no information anywhere about this. I'd love to get achievements on the PC version
@@YasahiroD I think my reply got deleted because I tried to link it, but I've seen you've already found it via Discord - in my defence, Liquid said Github in the VOD LOL
Realize I'm coming to this late but it'd be nice for achievements to be built into the next version of the launcher if anyone from Donut Team is listening... XD
Bruh the censor sound effect sounding like the Steeleseries arctics headphone beep was freaking me out for the first half of the video
Reminds me of the beep for connecting an audio-technica parir of wireless headphones.
Thanks for giving RetroAchievements more publicity ♥Awesome video as always

I mastered this game on RetroAchievements a few days ago, I have never been more frustrated with this game than that challenge run.
18:26 swear not bleeped, banned off the platform
now this is some good content
Bip for the swearing seems to be a bit loud or the sound used isn't smooth to ear. But loved the montage in general besides that!
"Unfunny Pink Car" unlocks at 14:50. Is this intentional?
I love your stuff mate keep on moving 🎉
Colin is the real hero here
Interesting. Do you have a link for this achievement feature?

I’ll be honest
I can’t think of how this is possible but it’s amazing
