I didn't have a console growing up and this was the only game at the after school club I went to. This is the best game of my childhood because it was the only game from my childhood. I was god awful and had to beg the older boys to let me have a go, crashed every 20 seconds and had the absolute time of my life!

My memories of Hit and Run is just my cousins and I taking turns setting the cars on fire.
I’d love to see a remake of this game. All it needs is:
- Updated graphics
- Tightened missions
- Modern controls
- Fully open world with combined maps
- DLC/Extra missions and characters added since
- More clothing options based on newer episodes
- Treehouse of Horror missions
- Fully rendered cutscenes
However, this probably won’t happen because EA.
To be fair I don’t think 3 of these are needed and honestly would make the game worse
I think the game works better as 3 smaller worlds rather than one big world, have you played that mod that makes it a big world, it’s a fun novelty but sucks gameplay wise
And I don’t exactly understand what “modern controls” even means but the controls work perfectly as they are, changing them has a higher chance of making it worse rather than better
And the entire last world is a treehouse of horror reference, I get what you mean but I think adding more treehouse stuff is close to impossible without making it feel like an overused gimmick idea

It is a little bit. Its babys first gta. Sure its fun but the game really boils down to like 3 different mission types. Races, collect the items, and destroy the other vehicle. If it didnt have the simpsons charm it would be a rather poor game.

As i've done speedruning in this game I started to enjoy the mission structure, It was really fun to beat the game fast but as I got better at the game it got more tedious. I really like this game and I personally think it's the pinnacle of Simpsons games

5:18 interesting fact for those who don't know, the reason road rage looks so terrible is because Matt Groening was upset with the textures Radical initially used, making the game look in his eyes apparently too close to the cartoon, sort of like the Simpsons Game, Matt wanted the game to look more like a videogame and less like the Cartoon, this lead to Radical having to redo all there textures for the game within a matter of months.
You can still see the original textures in early builds of the game.

Here's an additional piece of trivia. In early footage for the game Skinner, Moleman and Jasper were shown to be playable, however in the final game they were removed for unknown reasons. Perhaps if Matt Groening didn't request the graphics overhaul, the three would have made it into the final game as playable characters.

The Simpsons Hit & Run is one of my all time favorite video games ever. The music is awesome. My favorite track in that game is Legitimate Business which plays in levels 2 and 5. That track is so chill. Never gets old. Hit & Run needs to be remastered for the new consoles.

I think what makes The Simpsons: Hit and Run so beloved is the faithfulness to the show, the attention to detail, the variety of options, and the amount of fun it has to offer. Repetition is a big issue though. Definitely deserves a remake to fine-tune everything to make the game truly timeless and amazing.

I love this game!! So nostalgic! ✨💖
I get the point on the missions being tedious and repetitive, but like explaining the quests is boring, but the quotes and characters make every one exciting and hilarious. The lisa level has a lot of hilarious bits and milhouse's mission is hilarious for how clingy he is, my personal favourite is the optional skinner mission hearing his back and forth dialogue with lisa and his mother is great. The only level that gets annoying is the final level with that hard final mission.
Please explain how the laser stand mission isn't annoying.
i really have to give mad props to the themes when you're driving around, i genuinely teared up upon hearing "harbour hustle" again because this game was my childhood
additionally, "Homer's Day" and "Bart Goes Downtown" are incredible too, i find myself just humming them randomly

I miss this type of games. Nowadays it's only bigger than life AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-releases (which suck 75% of the time) or the small indie-games. And also mobile segment. Back in the days there were this middle segment of budget games that sometimes brought gems like this one.
I think it’s overrated, if it wasn’t a simpsons theme and it was generic characters then it would be memed as a gta clone. The mission structure is rubbish aswell, there’s only a few different objectives, go here, hit them , get these.

It's essentially a duty of all mortals to kick Millhouse into the Abyss and kick Marge at least 17 times when playing Hit and Run
You know what, I'd love a remake of this game where everything happens in one big map. Diversify the mission types, fix the on foot sections, add some extra content like mini games and side quests, and a fast travel option for jumping across the map when you need to move very far, and it could be an amazing game.
