What Camerons Car Reviews has to say about the Tacoma: The Tacoma is in a class that barely has any trucks for it anymore, this Tacoma generation hasn't seen a full redesign since 2005, however there has been minor tweaks in the recent years like LED Tailamps and a upgraded infotainment system as well as bluetooth. Power comes from a 2.7 L 4-Cylinder or a 4.0 L V6 through many options through a 5-Speed Manual or Automatic and many more. Is this enough for the Tacoma to compete in this class? Of course it is the Tacoma dominates this class, with way more outdated competitors like the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon that stopped production in 2013, however you can still find one for the 2012 model year. All in all we think the Tacoma is a smart choice.

Right? I’m trying to buy one right this moment in Stockton at cat max. I know Carmax is bank but this would be my third vehicle I buy from them. They at least take care of the cars after & I’m a Toyota man big time.

your Tacoma is DOPE man!!! I someday want to own a similar one to yours, except I would get the access cab instead of double cab. I currently got a t100 with a 3 inch lift also, just bought new rims and tires for it too. it was stock 2wd but I basically turned it into a prerunner. I plan to put up a video of it soon

I wish they would connect the horn to the keyless entry. I guess this model comes w/out a shifter knob...lol For 30 some odd grand you would expect more from this truck

Hi guys! I bought a 2013 Toyota Tacoma!
So far so good, but I found an ad about what issues with the engine in 2013!
Toyota Motor Engineering & manufacturing of North America (Toyota) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Tacoma vehicles manufactured July 1, 2013 through October 11, 2013. Engines affected vehicles contain valve springs that can break over time.
If the valve spring break, the engine may stall and not while driving, increasing the risk of accident.
Help! Tell me how to find out whether my car one of these?

On the website it's. Only 18,000 because that's the base model 4 cyl with no V6 or added packages or extras like this truck was

The depressed age of the Toyota years are almost over, ever since 2006 every single car/truck from them has not been up to the Toyota standard. Ever since 2012 when the Camry was redesigned Toyota has brought back about 60% of the their old quality into that car and ever since 2012 Toyota has been doing pretty good on their new interiors, the next Tacoma should be better.

Let me add to the negative comments. Be sure you ask your dealer about the spring and shock TSB for this truck, it affects models built from 2005 to current. It is NOT a recall, so you need to ask about it. If you go over 36000 miles and not ask, you may end up paying, $2800.00 fix. Make sure to ask. Enjoy your truck.

Don't know if anyone responds to this video anymore but just bought a Tacoma v6 4x4 double cab with 23,000 miles on it. When we shut the truck off it kind of grinds and then a subtle pop sound. Does anyone know what that might be?

I WILL NEVER BUY A TOYOTA AGAIN. We bought a new tacoma 3 months ago and the dealer left the oil fill cap off. The engine has dirt inside and they won't back up the warranty and replace the engine or the vehicle. You would think the company would change after the accelerator incident. I have no trust for this company. I find it to be a shame to the japanese people.

yes... but those toyotas are not the same as those we get in north america. the hilux is famous for durability. i would buy one if we get it here. the tundra and tacomas are designed by laid-off gm engineers. they are no difference then the bankrupt chevy.

  • @MetaView7

I am very disappointed about the Tacoma. The quality is not great, not up to the perceived Toyota standard.
