You don't even need to be an expert to see this is a security breech.
Either the head of the secret service allocated to Trump was incompetent.
Or she had a shoestring budget and could not sweep and secure the obvious sniper spots.
Or a hole in the security parameter was left open on purpose because Trumps chance of winning the election is to great. Then there may have been obvious holes in his security at other rallies. Only this time the was someone who exploited such a weakness.

How did the shooter know the roof was unsecured? Not even under surveillance? How would he know that?

@@olavnor13 I live in Butler and have been wondering about this. I am starting to think he drove up here a couple times while they were setting up and got a good look around. They had him on drone footage walking around pre-Trump on the day of. My biggest thing here though is the ladder, it doesn't appear to be a fixed ladder but I'm not sure, if it is an extension ladder though, how did he get it to the site unnoticed, if it is a fixed ladder how the heck did he access it and breach the roof without any resistance. I've driven by that building a hundred times, but honestly it is off the road and a sizeable complex, and there was a large pine tree right where the ladder is....but I really have a hard time thinking this kid just got super lucky? So bizarre.

My question is how did the young man carry a ladder across a field with a rifle and not get spotted? My next question is he had a car, how did the ladder get to that location? You definitely ain't stapping an extension ladder to the roof of a car? Then setting up that ladder up next to the building and not get spotted. A man carring a ladder in the opening, sure looks out of place to me.

Sorta. What he didn't tell you was a sniper uses match ammunition which has tighter tolerances then normal ammo. Normal ammo has a group tolerance of 5 - 7 in at 100m. Where as match ammo is 1 in. The weapon used by a sniper also has much tighter tolerances then the off the rack rifle, floating barrel for a sniper, barrel is encased with a forestock on normal rifle. Then there's the ballistics of it. The difference in elevation also changes the point of aim. Light, wind, heat, mirage will effect the shot. Just a 20 yr old kid that played way too much Arma3 thinking it equated to real life.

How in the world could the Secret Service or any other federal agency allow a rooftop close to a presidential event to go unnoticed and unguarded? Something is dreadfully wrong here. Something very suspicious is going on here. You would think at least the local police department or state agency would have an officer on that roof. Very likely this is more than a breakdown in coverage. There is something very wrong here.

How in the hell did this shooter draw no attention to himself carrying a RIFLE and a ladder from his car to that building?? Thank you, Congressman Mills for some great perspective. He raised the point about the Secret Service could clear an area, like that roof top, then hand it over to local law enforcement if manpower were an issue. Another network had a guest on that said that was done. I would be curious to know if they physically waited there for a replacement, or just radioed it in. A rally attendee has been interviewed saying he saw the man with a rifle climb up the side of the building and tried to point that out to Security, but got no response until minutes later when shots were fired.
Biggest question is how will Trump go on now that his hairline has been exposed and photographed for the whole world to see?

Anyone else find it '[curious' that while multiple gunshots were being fired at this rally, no one was trying to run out of there?! They just 'ducked' for a second or two and remained seated for the most part! Not a whole lot of screaming or panic, only a little.
And look at how slow Trump dropped to the ground. If someone was shooting at me, I felt myself 'getting shot' , I would get down a heck of a lot quicker!
Also notice that while Secret Service was trying to safely remove Trump from the scene, Trump pops his head up and raises his fist to pose for the cameras. Not a normal thing to do when you are being shot at. And another thing, Secret Service didn't check the rooftops? Another thing, this was a small town, and nobody noticed a guy toting a rifle towards the rally?! Really?! He was only 160 yards away and NOBODY NOTICED? I call BS. I personally think this was staged.
I am saddened that several people were hurt, and for lives lost; but something still does not look right! Anyone else feel the same?

Regardless of this tragedy it is very concerning that the only way out of this venue with that many people attending was a very small one road in and out of there!!! That is something that should be taken into consideration in these events

What I am more puzzled about and want answers to is what input did Trump have over his security detail?
Normally the principal is not supposed to be involved in security arrangements however this is Trump who is well known for micro managing everything. I would not be surprised if he was involved somehow, not necessarily in the setting up of the shooting(I would not be surprised though) but in the fact he thinks he knows what he is doing and pulled the agent off that arc to cover another one instead. Trump has a small protection team as he is not the president despite what he thinks.

The distance the shooter was from where Trump was standing was less than 150 yards...the secret service snipers aren't taking any time to check their DOPE sheets for holdovers/adjustments at that short a distance because the bullet drop/rise would be negligible...it was just an immediate point and shoot scenario which is exactly what happened...they returned fire within a few seconds of the 1st shot.
