The fact that bystanders on the GROUND saw the suspect but the secret service didn't speaks volumes.
And then the bystanders screaming then the police don't do anything because they think maybe it's a secret service on the roof and they're thinking secret service already has this that they know. Imo very very bad call. On both sides.

Yes, except many people pointed out that suspicious looking time for cops SEVERAL times. Apparently even a medic team on the ground had noticed the guy 26 MINUTES before shooting, and send an image to cops and pointed what is that very suspicious looking person is doing alone in that roof, is he supposed to be there. That was almost 30 minutes before action. After that more and more people were noticing the guy and informing police.
We are already gone past the 'they were just doing the motions' when several reports are ignored and it's not like it takes much effort to radio in and ask is there supposed to be a person on that roof? Does not look like one of our/your guys (which he didn't), do you know who he is?
One might say it's pretty suspect that some random civilian is moving on a roof of polices own snipers nest and that is actively ignored despite that guy been reported to security NUMEROUS time by different people and it's not like he was even hard to spot. Open roof, clear line of sight from various positions, even from the ground level.
Maybe you can see who the police really work for?

I lived in Butler PA. The fair ground are not huge. How does a 20 year old kid bring in a rifle get on a roof 130 yards away from the stage? This is a total failure by the Secret Service and law enforcement.

Multiple people pointed out a suspicious person on the roof to officers MINUTES before the shooting! How does this still happen?

I was Iowa State university for Iowa vs Iowa game when Trump was there. We had the exact same experience, snippers on every roof top. Security was top notch. This was not an accident.

So true, I experienced that exact feeling at the Sanford, Florida rally in 2020. The security was so tight! All roofs covered!
A sitting president is going to have much better security than a former president and Trump was president in 2020.

I worked at a hotel that regularly hosted political events, for some heavy political personalities. And just let me say, anyone who has ever watched the Secret Service operate in any capacity, is completely baffled by what happened on the 13th.

Let's just play this card: if the Secret Service wanted this to happen, wouldn't they have found a better marksman or given him a better rifle? If they were in on it, why would they give their sharpshooters some very large caliber rifles? Or perhaps the Secret Service thought that the guy would miss and the event would be a political opportunity for Trump. C'mon, not everything is a conspiracy. The Secret Service last time I checked work off the FBI & CIA tech to use multiple security recon drones,
For reconnaissance and observation duh its part of presidential safety 101, always make sure the area is clear and keep eyes on everybody,
To survey the scene from a birds eye view. Why would you ask that question? Helicopters are always around as security for presidents.

I attended a Bob Dylan concert in Oregon about 20 years ago. Before they would allow us in, we had to wait in a long line to be security checked. They even made us take our hats off to look under them, along with unzipping and looking into small fanny packs. And that was 20 years ago to just see a musician. Not secret service or to see a president.
I've been near a ton of high ranking officials and no one has ever searched me.

That’s different. While it’s salacious, it wasn’t a security threat, so there’s less reason to pull all the stops out to investigate it. Nor was there a reason to guard cubbies. Tourists visit the White House all the time. On the other hand, guarding the physical safety of a top candidate for president is a very important security goal so it’s much more shocking this happened.
If I was in the FBI I would be asking the Secret Service why they let Mr Trump become a sitting duck.

This event had 2 secret service on 1 rooftop. I did the same thing this gentleman did. I took pics from different angles of roof tops, not really realizing why i was. I was amazed. Nothing😮 We all talked about it and had a really horrible feeling that day. Then, the worst scenario we pictured came to pass.
