Meet the new zebra shark

The zebra shark is our newest addition to the Tropical Oceans Exhibit. It is a native to the Indo-Pacific region. As a juvenile, these sharks exhibit their namesake's stripes, while adults usually feature bold brown spots against their beige skin color. This shark is sometimes known as a leopard shark for that reason.

Wouldn't it make sense to have some cover, plants, something I there wth him? Genuinely asking. Would figure an animal would be stressed sitting there with nothing around them.

+Sarah P This was during renovation of the aquarium's Giant Ocean Tank, which has a fiberglass "coral" reef in it now. These are usually penguin enclosures.
