@@jonant8317 The Inuit live a sustainable lifestyle. It not like sharks that are being killed just for their fins by massive netting, they are being used for all their parts and it will last them months. It's not industrialized.
the inuit have allowed these animals to survive for so long because of their sustainable hunting practices. if you want to get upset it should be at me and you as we consume way more resources and animals
Which unbelievably might be true

>Be a shark, a masterpiece of nature and millennia of natural evolution, more ancient than the dinosaurs.

Humans are natural evolution far back before even dinosaurs.
Man's just trying to feed himself and his dogs; besides, the Inuits use every part of an animal, they don't overhunt

Sure sure... and Europeans gather on Sunday all across the continent, drinking wine and sharing bread, not a single one stays one drunk from Sunday, they’re god fearing people and are respectful and astronauts are not humans but little men from mars
Silent_Stalker you’re about as queer as a football bat. Your over indulgence of the simpler things has lead you to think a certain way, and there fore has led you to have a very peculiar set of opinions. All hiding under the ruse of anonymity, tis a beautiful thing to be ignorant in life, truly blissful. Not all of us are artisans or practitioners of such crafts, but we are all critics. It’s easier to read the words off a page then it is to write the book.

The shark I feel bad for not just in death, but in life. Greenland’s live a slow, long, and dark life. Emphasis on dark, I mean blind. Just about all Greenland Sharks are blind. So most of the time, they live a lonely life because they are blind and are solitary.

@@angelvelasco8072 that is very true.
Actually those sharks live beneath the deep of the oceans, maybe they only go up when theirs so many foods in that season. I think there are many of them all over the world, just remember only 10-20% of the entire ocean are studied as of now.
@@bahagharidon1940 yeah that's one thing these fools who are calling the Inuits retards don't understand. We have barely discovered a portion of the ocean. There could be hundreds of thousands of these sharks.

@@BuggyDClown-og6wq who tf cares, they need to survive. Theres no time for compassion
@@BuggyDClown-og6wq Do you know what you're talking about, though? Each case is unique, but most conservation projects and regulation allow traditional hunting practices for a number of reasons, among them subsistence and cultural preservation. "Natives", as you say, can hardly be held responsible for endangering species. Ever. Large-scale pollution, loss of habitat, industrial fishing and resource exploitation are to blame.
Yeah, but the flesh of the Greenland Shark is toxic when fresh and sled dogs who eat this raw flesh show symptoms similar to drunkenness. In most cases I support the preservation of certain cultural traditions but this practice due to the Greenland Shark's vulnerable status and the fact that it's flesh must be fermented and cured to be made safe to eat in my opinion makes this practice redundant. Just because it's traditional doesn't mean it's practical or even ethical. If this Inuit must feed his dogs, then why not hunt for a Moose or try and catch a Spotted Seal?
I get your point, but there's so many other fish in the ocean. Not only is it rare to see such an old shark, it's also a vulnerable species, lives in deep waters where it likely would never have been caught had they not been literally searching for it. Plus, it might not even taste pleasant.. like most other fish that we honestly can't and shouldn't eat, yet people still eat. Like Napoleon fish, heard those are quite inedible.. but it's unique so people still eat them, and they are endangered too.
